Punch was obligatory for dentists waiting rooms in the 70s & 80s. We always had them at work and I remember reading them as a child in our dentist’s. I seem to remember that we were sent free copies for the common room in the dental school I attended. Good marketing.

@Spongebobette and they don’t get paid for their time at these events do they? Not cold hard cash, maybe a bit of product, a bunch of flowers or the cost of an off peak train ticket, but not the kind of cost coverage and extra pay that would be likely in a proper company if an employee was giving up their free time to travel somewhere.

I don’t think the new CM has relented since he arrived in The Tent to share his brand of hard sell, but it seems like the pressure has gone up a notch doesn’t it? He’s like a smiling attack dog pushing them to recruit anyone by any means. Perhaps his American bosses think that all the UK business needs is some threatening coercion to bring it back to life, and he’s the man to do it. The only thing that is going to revive things is a bit of time travel back to 2014.

I wonder if these bots like Yawn, 2Jags etc have worked out that the people telling them how great FLP is and how lucky they are to have the chance to give their time for free, are all in receipt of a salary.
