I've got a new (to me anyway) MLM popped up on my SM - Farmasi/ Natural Care. Looks like a few who were Younique have started with this one for 2024.

MyopicBunny · 02/01/2024 23:42

I also know Roomie and I remember her telling me that she was 100% sure that she was going to become rich from FLP. She had seen Yawn's paychecks in person....Evidently that didn't work out in the end and she got fleeced by FLP as well as she is now a hypnotherapist or something...

Spongebobette · 03/01/2024 09:00

Ahh! Now I know why we had all that awful weather yesterday! Nurse left the house in a negative mood and manifested it!

BSintolerant · 03/01/2024 09:55

No doubt the sun will shine once more. So many of these bots seem to think it shines out of their arses.

I’ll never forget that photo Roomie took of Yawn’s arse reflected in the mirror for all to see! I wonder if it was intentional or a Freudian slip? Was Roomie one of many of Yawn’s victims who posed with Yawn’s big plastic cheque in the vain hope of manifesting a big plastic cheque of their own? How did that work out for Yawn and her downlines?

Twentytwentyhindsight · 03/01/2024 10:01

I seem to remember Roomie coming into Yawn's orbit off the back of the FLP UK glory days, the only couple of years Yawn ever made any real money, so she may well have been able to show her a proof of decent income.
However, by the time she went to GR in Dallas as Yawn's plus one/nemesis/candid photographer, Yawn's CB cheque had dwindled to the grand total of zero, and things have slipped further since then.

She posted a picture of Yawn's arse??

BSintolerant · 03/01/2024 11:10

Roomie posted some very unflattering photos of Yawn (who was trying to pretend to be much slimmer than she actually was). Roomie somehow took a photo which included a shot of a mirror which revealed a reflection of Yawn’s arse which was most unfortunate.

It is beyond parody, isn't it? If this isn't the death knell of her business, I don't know what is.

Nurse seems to have removed comments from her YouTube videos (but not added any more videos to her channel for 3 months)

YouOKHun · 03/01/2024 12:46

Nurse is welcoming three new members to her page (just in case any of you cynics think her business isn’t alive and kicking):

Mrs Nurse Senior (her mum)
Mrs Neighbour
Mrs Neighbour’s Daughter

None of them will be paying her to coach them, though I suspect the first new member on the list has paid generously already. In her dreams Nurse is a totally different person, dynamic, determined, permanently happy and the brink of a poorly defined “success”, but how long can all the magical thinking and misguided “support” from friends and family keep reality at bay? The cognitive dissonance is massive.

Spongebobette · 03/01/2024 12:56

Ah I wonder if the latter two are the subjects of the ‘two coaching sessions’ she has this afternoon and which she had to prepare for.

They’ll be freebies/ taster sessions if so and it will be awkward for the neighbours when they don’t want to pay her for more sessions

mind you, Nurse is probably fully booked in January from all the people taking up her special Black Friday offer 😬

I don't know if this has been posted before, but there is a thread in chat about "disappearing" MLMs
https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/_chat/4975894-what-happened-to-younique?reply=131914856

This is excellent - it's heartening to see that so many people recognise them for what they are.

Spongebobette · 03/01/2024 13:38

It really is - a few years ago many people didn’t even know what an MLM was (I certainly didn’t until a friend completely changed character on FB and started posting jarring stuff about sacking the boss and being CEO of her own business)

now people seem primed to be suspicious which is good

NormalForNuneaton · 03/01/2024 16:57

I see from NNN's vision/manifestation session that she's going to publish her IVF book by August 2024.

Notice that she's going to publish it, not that "it's going to be published" ie. She'll be forking out to get it done.

What's the betting she uses the ex-MLM (ex- FL?) one that Roomie used.

She's then going to start her second book.

YouOKHun · 03/01/2024 17:35

@CanadianJohn good spot! That’s a heartening thread. It is interesting how many people assume these companies have closed down. It just shows how their visibility has diminished.

The pandemic, despite the temporary slow down in MLM’s decline it caused has really bitten MLM on the arse, as so many more people saw their antics and the carnage they caused to people who were tempted to join during 2020/21. There really is no way back to the glory days is there? Good!

Contraryjane · 03/01/2024 18:16

On Rightmove you can get an estimation of a house value since it was last bought.
The Thatch was bought in 2016, and RM estimates it has lost 28% of its value since then.
just saying.

...and that doesn't even take into account the rotten, knackered thatch and the home "improvements" that have probably knocked yet more off the value

YouOKHun · 03/01/2024 19:41

@Contraryjane I looked at that (admittedly a while ago) and I thought it had increased in value since the Yawns purchased it but it had recently taken a big tumble in value. I might be misremembering though. If, like a lot of bots, the Yawns have to sell they’re going to have to factor in £30k for a new roof plus rectifying all her home improvements. Any equity is surely earmarked for that DLA?

I think we are going to be seeing a few bot mansions on the market this spring. Uber’s isn’t shifting nor Welsh Bot’s (I think I’ve got the right name for her). Castle and her parents are living out of suitcases in order to try and make her house viable. there are probably many others I have forgotten about who are on the precipice.

They could turn FLP UK into a giant bot hostel for the destitute.

Spongebobette · 03/01/2024 20:29

I wonder if the proximity to flooding knocks a lot off the price of a house….

I know someone whose house flooded and she couldn’t sell it afterwards as no one could get a mortgage on it

I live 10m from a river. Yes it can affect the sales value. Some lenders won't lend at all, there's a government site where you can see what flood risk a property is and mortgage lenders check it. Lenders like HSBC are particularly risk averse when it comes to this kind of thing. Though a mortgage advisor we use told us that they are "particularly picky" about a lot of things.

Spongebobette · 03/01/2024 20:45

I remember looking round the house I currently own and mentally listing all the things I wanted to sort out and totting up how much that would all cost, then knocking that off the offer price

which they accepted

if I viewed the thatch I’d knock 50k off straight away for roof

Spongebobette · 03/01/2024 20:51

And it would be a hard mental exercise to see past all the dreadful tat and appalling ‘quirky’ nicknacks she’s stuck everywhere and appreciate the house 🤣

BangingOn · 03/01/2024 21:59

Is Welsh Bot the one who is now flogging CBD patches? It had looked like she was pushing FL hard again but all gone quiet now.

Sugarplum48 · 04/01/2024 07:00

My word Yawns latest 2 new bizniz partners are a real catch 🤣🤣 the chap looks like he's been picked from Britain's most wanted list! Do they consent to being plastered on her instagram?

Funny she doesn't name either of them...
