sorry that is so big!

Muddygreenfingers · 20/06/2023 12:09

375 this month!

I didn't realise when I first looked. I saw £25 and didn't realise you could swipe across.

When it appeared in my account I then realised !

TashaG · 20/06/2023 13:23

Love this thread! £25k amazing!

I have just started PB's as a way to save a bit - nowhere in a million miles near Full Holdings but will build it up slowly as saving for something big :)

Will be following along here now x

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/06/2023 15:12

Yah @Happiestathome That's great

Roll on July

Even though they are trying to phase out the £25 I’d still be happy with it, I’m getting desperate for some luck 😆
Really really hoping I win for the first time this month. Now with £10k holdings for the past 3 months and not a penny…would certainly be nice as I’m about to start maternity leave on SMP 😩

Minervia · 20/06/2023 16:28

Must be your turn @Babytwodue I've had 3 months of £50 on my £9k but I'm back down to £6k now so am not getting too excited (even though I know I will be beside myself as always come big reveal day!)

Babytwodue · 20/06/2023 16:34

I hope so @Minervia and not a bad return for you!
My husband won £100 on his £1500 the other month and thought it was hilarious as he rarely checks his and I go in the app in the middle of the night giddy with excitement only to be disappointed 🙈😂

Are they phasing out the £25

Ohmylovejune · 20/06/2023 19:33

I guess the smaller amount cost a lot of administer so they aren't increasing the number of them. Equally they aren't stopping them completely because they know how lovely it is to just get a prize and with £25s there are a lot of extra winners added each month.

I'm so old I remember when the lowest winnings were £10!

Soapyspuds · 20/06/2023 22:04

3.3% to 3.7% is not to be sniffed at. Now watch as I win fuck all the month

Eaumyword · 20/06/2023 22:21

I'm ever hopeful as July draws near!'

Cantbelieveit888 · 20/06/2023 22:39

We are increasing our accounts so should have 4 x FH. Hopefully we can get some further luck!! Fingers crossed all :)

boatgirl81 · 21/06/2023 11:45

I guess that people must have felt similar when they phased out the £10 prize and there is an element of nostalgia attached but we all now have a better chance of getting a £50 or £100 than a £25 so that is great news to me.

FiveShelties · 21/06/2023 12:14

@boatgirl81 was there a 10GPB prize? I obviously did not win one otherwise I would remember!

Me neither

I've only ever won £25

And then last months £100 !

Ohmylovejune · 21/06/2023 15:03

I was sure there was but looking at unclaimed prizes there aren't any £10s outstanding which wouldnt ring true, so I think I'm misremembering.

RockaLock · 21/06/2023 15:13

The number of prizes for July is a bit lower than in June.

They say the odds of winning have stayed the same though, at 1 in 24,000, so unless there is a fair bit of rounding in that number, it must mean that quite a few people have withdrawn their holdings recently.

Good spot. Possibly seeking better rates elsewhere, or like me it was there waiting until mortgage fix comes to an end.

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/06/2023 17:14

So has anyone worked out how many prizes there are in total

OP posts:
Ohmylovejune · 21/06/2023 17:39

Just over 5 million per month. It varies as its based on number qualifying for the draw.

Wrapunzel · 21/06/2023 18:29

I've had £100 of bonds since my grandmother died in 2000, I won £50 quite soon after which I (probably incorrectly) thought was the smallest prize available. Did £25 come in later or am I misremembering?

JayAlfredPrufrock · 21/06/2023 19:57

Definitely used to be £50 for quite a long time.
