Does anyone know - If I want to cash in some bonds, does it have to be after 30 June to still qualify for July draw?

Thought so. It would've been handy if it was the 28th. Thanks.

Sparklfairy · 22/06/2023 06:37

Anyone else start getting excited around about this time even though it's ages away? It's a big reason why I keep premium bonds, I basically get feel good excited endorphins for half the month Grin

A bit like that survey they did about the lottery years ago... Responses said happiness levels were at their peak at the time of purchasing the ticket, and gradually waned the closer it got to the draw followed by crushing disappointment obviously

So has anyone worked out how many prizes there are in total

It says

June: 5,061,328 total prizes
July: 5,054,415 total prizes

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/06/2023 08:23

Always @Sparklfairy

It's why I have pb. Not as many as I would like lol. But odds to 24000 to 1 isn't it

Ohmylovejune · 22/06/2023 09:47

Yeah. If you have 24k invested the average is one win a month.

£25 prizes were introduced in 2009 when the interest rate dropped after the banking crisis:

Oh well done! That makes sense.

Ohmylovejune · 23/06/2023 16:54

@Sparklfairy

I get excited about now too and then realise its almost 2 weeks until they draw and announce again.

DogDream · 23/06/2023 22:16

What dates does everything happen on?

Does anyone know if money is put in now does that mean that money will be eligible for this July draw? Or does it need to sit there a while?

The only big winner I know in real life won £5I.
A lady won £100k on the PB Facebook page I'm on which is awesome! So glad she shared her news. I'd share on here but not on FB!

Cantbelieveit888 · 24/06/2023 23:14

Yeah same I’d share here but be anonymous irl!

Minervia · 25/06/2023 09:51

I don't know of anyone who has won a million which is strange as there are two a month. I do know of people who have won the lottery - a friend's dad and one of my best friends friends.

Well there are two lottery draws a week. That’s a lot more.

Depending on how many bonds you've got, chances of winning the lottery may be higher.

Each bond only has about a 1 in 60 billion chance of winning a million. The odds get worse each month as the amount invested increases, but the number of million pound prizes doesn't.

veryfluffyfluff · 27/06/2023 12:35

When is the next results please?

InMySpareTime · 27/06/2023 12:36

Except each lottery ticket is only entered in one draw, whereas the same PB will keep being entered each month.1

Dooopylally · 27/06/2023 12:36
