Shhhhh - don’t mention it’s her brother! She hasn’t bothered to

I note that the other wonderful people she has ‘booked’ for her ‘curriculum’ are already in the business of grifting off hopeful bots

@PicturesOfDogs the first mystery person you name shares a first name with agony aunt Mrs Rayner and a last name with Michael Crawford’s character in Some Mothers do ‘ave ‘em.

The second mystery character shares a surname with the actor who played Jim Rockford in the Rockford Files and a first name shared with the actor Snipes (Sleaze uses the shortened form).

Got it, thanks! 😊
Will do some reading this evening lol

BSintolerant · 29/11/2022 18:52

Don’t have nightmares @PicturesOfDogs !

If you can tolerate a bit more excitement, the bot known as Broke is also on our radar. First name is the same as the actor Mr Feldman. Second name is the noun for someone who makes gloves.

YouOKHun · 29/11/2022 19:49

Did anyone see that Acti/Messiah’s re-named pyramid scheme has, according to Ms Sponlie, lifted its whole look and feel from a French brand known as Typology. It seems Typology thinks she has a point.

Imagine developing your brand only to have some shitty MLM come along and copy your packaging and the styling of your photography etc. Typology was created by the person who started Made.com (so he’s got other worries right now), he’s also got financial clout if it’s decided they’ve been copied. I hope it gets Mr Acti into trouble along with the trouble he will also get as a result of attention from HMRC for his very creative accounting. I think Messiah has drawn attention to Mr Acti despite Messiah’s crookedness being Rep of Ireland based - what a shame 😂

Twentytwentyhindsight · 29/11/2022 20:35

Hadn't seen that @YouOKHun
Thanks for the heads up, I hope this development does help bring a World of pain to Messiah and his puppet master!

Norma27 · 29/11/2022 20:38

Ms sponlie is great. I’m lucky to know her irl and she knows her shit when she goes for something

BSintolerant · 29/11/2022 21:25

Do you remember a while back when the FL country manager (he of disappearing Facebook page fame) got in touch with Ms Sponlie in a bizarre attempt to get her on side? I wonder if he was trying to recruit her, or hoping to spook her into silence? Must’ve been a clumsy, ineffective method of manipulation MLM bots learn in Cult School. Perhaps he should join Scamiversity to see if there’s a better option on their alleged curriculum.

YouOKHun · 29/11/2022 21:53

I don’t remember that @BSintolerant! was that early on in her antiMLMing? I guess she is relatively local to FLHQ and I am sure you’re right, he thought a bit of direct contact would either intimidate her or beguile her with his “charm”. Luckily for him her targets tend to be other than FLP.

talking of FLHQ, do I see that they are still using a tent but are allowing selfies to be taken in the lobby as a special treat?

Norma27 · 29/11/2022 22:27

I will ask her when I next speak to her. I can tell you she is not one to be intimidated tho if he thought that he was on to a loser!

BSintolerant · 29/11/2022 22:46

I think it was early on in her MLM resistance operations.

Charm?! Who needs charm when you’ve got a tent and a leather jacket? I just hope he’s got planning permission.

Ooowhatshappeningnow · 30/11/2022 07:50

Place marking!

YouOKHun · 30/11/2022 12:42

Yes, @Norma27 she isn’t easily intimidated. I think she’s great. I think she’s quite brave as some of the MLM huns and bosses can be vicious. Though I sense some of the leaders/high up huns are more careful than they were about their level of aggression and I think that’s a sign of MLM being in retreat and people who are anti MLM being much more vocal and backed up by evidence of the conduct of MLM over the last few years. Ms S has had some nasty stuff aimed at her all the same.

KatieBenz · 30/11/2022 18:32

I’ve seen a a few bot watch threads over the last few years, but have never understood what they were about - it’s all in code. Anyway, i have been sofa bound for a couple of days so read a couple more threads. I finally worked out what it is all about and even guessed who some of the people are. Wow! I never knew pyramid schemes were still a thing. Sadly, my dil was singing praises for some fl crap at the weekend. I hope she hasn’t signed up to it.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 30/11/2022 19:48

@KatieBenz - sorry to say, that is usually the first indication...

KatieBenz · 30/11/2022 20:06

Oh, I hope not. She’s on maternity leave atm and doesn’t really want to go back to her day job. 😬

NormalForNuneaton · 30/11/2022 20:17

@KatieBenz ...have a look at her Facebook friends, any suspicious new additions that are FL bots? Any friends that have appeared from nowhere that are love-bombing her?

Twentytwentyhindsight · 30/11/2022 20:21

That would make her a prime target.
As @NormalForNuneaton says, keep an eye on her social media and ask gentle but searching questions about the amaaayzing opportunity and who is pushing it.
Expect some defenciveness, so tread gently.

YouOKHun · 30/11/2022 20:23

Oh dear @KatieBenz I'm afraid that is a key life stage to get recruited. She’s likely been told it’s totally flexible and she can be a “proper mother” and be at home with her child. She may also have been told she can do as many or as few hours as she chooses and her income potential is unlimited if she wants it enough.

The reality is that she will not be able to sell product because it’s too expensive and she will have to compete with fellow Huns and with eBay where the heavily discounted stock of all the victims who have gone before her is available to buy. She won’t have ‘time freedom’ either and having a baby won’t protect her from the pressure. She may get some customers early on but selling to a tiny social circle of friends misguidedly ‘supporting’ her who tend not to be return customers won’t work, even though it feels like early promise. She will be expected to be her own best customer and expected to plunder her social circle - you should prepare yourself to become a prospect first and friend second.

is it her first baby? It’s very bad news to start her journey as a parent with FLP in the way. I hope she cottons on soon - the Talented Ladies Club website has some very good articles about FLP and MLMs in general.

YouOKHun · 30/11/2022 20:32

@Twentytwentyhindsight’s approach is a good one; gently try to get her to question it and read alternative perspectives but prepare to be unsuccessful as the attractive package of money, “recognition”, glamour and camaraderie is far more attractive than the anti MLM fact-based argument! Don’t criticise FLP too frankly, try and get her there Socratically. If you can, get her to keep very clear accounts so she can quickly see which way the money is flowing.

KatieBenz · 30/11/2022 21:51

Oh good grief! Thank you ladies for your advice. She really doesn’t want to go back to work and is probably looking at alternatives.it was a little surprising that she mentioned this ‘amazing’ product, when we visited at the weekend.
I'm very much of the ‘ what a load of b*llocks’ to anything like this, but don’t want to upset her or annoy my son. I won’t, however, support it and I think we ( me and Dh) will be in the bad books for not supporting them.

BSintolerant · 30/11/2022 23:10

@KatieBenz This documentary, Secrets of the Multilevel Millionaires, makes excellent viewing. It exposes a lot of the culty manipulation tactics MLMs employ to target vulnerable women. It rattled a few cages when it first aired.

Spongebobette · 01/12/2022 07:59

@KatieBenz
It’s likely she’s being ‘love-bombed’ by the person she bought the FL products from, who sees her as a potential downline.

The bots swarm round and ‘welcome’ a new teamie, so someone on mat leave who is looking for a way to stay at home with their baby is very vulnerable to being persuaded that FL is the answer to their prayers.

I hope she’s not already signed up - it may be too late if she has as she’ll already have been told to ignore the haters and dream stealers.

do NOT buy anything from her even if it makes you feel guilty about not being supportive - ‘pity purchases’ at the start are what makes new bots feel they have an actual business

new bots often wax lyrical about the products and how much they love them, but we all know that MLMs are not about the products, success lies in recruiting others, and the products are very ordinary and wildly overpriced (actually that is a good push back when they are being recommended to you - say oh I can get the same at Holland and Barrett for less than half the price and it’s organic - it’s easy to do a quick comparison)

OP posts:
KatieBenz · 01/12/2022 08:22

I really hope she hasn’t signed up. I won’t be buying anything. She has a very large, supportive family, who will probably keep her going for a few months. 😐
Thanks for the advice.

NormalForNuneaton · 02/12/2022 07:08

I see Bruv is setting up his own Social Media Branding Agency, an attempt to fleece the Scamversity victims after his "star guest" appearance there no doubt.

BSintolerant · 02/12/2022 09:21

I wouldn’t trust Bruv to brand a cow’s arse!

I remember when Bruv used to claim how hard it was to make money when he was a graphic designer but all that changed when Castle introduced him to Forever Living. He’d left the police force, retrained as a graphic designer but ended up working long hours which he found very hard. Having a real business is very hard, but he didn’t realise this. He also claimed that being an independent business owner with Forever Living solved all his problems and enabled him to give up his graphic design career.

What he didn’t tell us that he also had a job with Forever Living: he was on their payroll. The lying little bot accidentally revealed this in an Instagram post. If he can’t manage his own social media, would you let him near yours?

If Forever Living solved all the problems he had with his previous career why is he going down that road again? Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is the very definition of madness. It pretty well sums up the MLM ethos.
