Just in the pub with DH and have showed him Yawns Insta where she's demonstrating an Abs and Core workout. DH has done a lot of training in his time and he just laughed and said "WTF is she trying to do there?"

PieonaBarm · 06/01/2023 19:20

Although he did say "I suppose at least she's doing something" 😂

I suspect that my 18yo DS who has (and is training for more) health and fitness qualifications would be a little less polite! 😆

At some point I'll show him some of Yawn's posts and let you know his feedback

SnoogyWoo · 06/01/2023 20:13

Must admit everytime I see Yawn doing her exercise's it all looks a little odd but at least she is doing something.

Perthsmurf · 06/01/2023 20:27

@dickiedavisthunderthighs any clues on the FM/Reminiscience bot please? I’m watching this lot carefully, such vulture tactics at work!

Norma27 · 06/01/2023 23:39

Whenever I see yawn’s exercise posts I just think how awful her form is.

Spongebobette · 07/01/2023 11:56

She used to belong to a gym (David Lloyd) and show herself with the exercise equipment - so she could get advice there on he to do it properly
but they don’t seem to belong to that club any more and she’s turned her ‘garden room’ into an exercise studio and suddenly she’s an expert

Regarding the gastric sleeve/band theory ....presumably it can only be in place for a certain amount of time? How long and what happens when it's removed?

Once removed is it all dependent on continuing on eating tiny portions and not slipping back into bad habits?

Also why can't you drink when you've got one?

Sorry for all the questions but I'm convinced Yawn has had this done as she's never succeeded in losing weight before and she hasn't plateaued like everyone I've ever known who has dieted.

I can't help but wonder what happens next!

Ooowhatshappeningnow · 07/01/2023 13:52

That’s my thoughts and questions too! @NormalForNuneaton like you and I have both said this just isn’t normal for Yawn, we have all seen for years now her dieting and although I think she has lost weight it’s never been like this.

I also would like to know about why you shouldn’t drink alcohol ect

PieonaBarm · 07/01/2023 15:18

A sleeve is permanent they basically remove part of your stomach turning it from a pouch shape to a sleeve shape and thereby making it smaller.

I think they say not to drink for a period of time afterwards because how your body processes it is different after surgery and also because you have rapid weight loss and your body will be sensitive to the effects of alcohol. I could be wrong but I think this is why.

NormalForNuneaton · 07/01/2023 16:13

Thank you @PieonaBarm .

I didn't realise they're permanent.

Am I getting confused or is there a similar, but temporary, proceedure?

PieonaBarm · 07/01/2023 17:30

@NormalForNuneaton gastric bands are removable and gastric balloons are very short term. They don't recommend bands now though as they slip or move quite a lot I believe. (I knew my addiction to watching Dr Now on My 600lb Life would come in useful one day 🤣)

Ohnonevermind · 07/01/2023 18:13

I see Fierce has referred to castle as her ‘business buddy’ she clearly has no desire to be ‘besties’

I had a sleeve in November so I can answer! It’s permanent, they don’t offer bands anymore as they can slip which has caused people all sorts of issues.
They remove around 75% of your stomach so the idea is that you lose weight by drastically reducing portion sizes. Alcohol isn’t recommended for 2 reasons: firstly the calories are just empty and if you drank your calories then you’d gain weight easily and secondly tolerance for alcohol is greatly reduced. Some people do transfer food addiction to alcohol though so it’s kinda better to just give it up.
It is however entirely possible to gain weight back by eating what’s called slider foods, so high calorie things that don’t fill you up- crisps/chocolate/popcorn. If you eat too much then it’s very easy to scoff a large amount of calories and still be hungry!
The sleeve is merely a very helpful tool when used right is amazing but there’s a lot of work to get out of bad eating habits.
Hope that helps 😁

As an actual fitness instructor I concur.

NormalForNuneaton · 07/01/2023 19:36

@yoomoo thank you.

So as someone who has had the procedure done, is your gut feeling that Yawn has had it done?

yoomoo · 07/01/2023 19:54

Yes 100% it’s pretty obvious, very rapid weight loss, eating off side plates, no alcohol. She’s still losing weight now too by looks of things. She’s definitely not done it with C9s and a made up diet/exercise plan!

dickiedavisthunderthighs · 07/01/2023 21:30

I wonder if this is the cause of Yawn and ex-BFF's fall-out?

Ilovefluffysheep · 08/01/2023 08:48

I've always wondered how you stop losing too much weight with the sleeve, seeing as it's permanent.

Is it just a case of eating higher calorie food like the slider foods referred to in the post above?

YouOKHun · 08/01/2023 10:33

This is from an article on Andrew Tate in today’s Sunday Times. Does it give any of you a sense of déjà vu too?

Yes, comparisons with Scamversity and Hustlers University reared its ugly head a a previous thread. I believe Andrew Tate is in a spot of bother at the moment. Is he running the show from a prison cell?

PieonaBarm · 08/01/2023 11:01

When I see the current Scamversity ads on Castles feed that Bruv has produced my first thought is that it's a Sky advert with the colours of the text

It’s so amateur it’s unreal, the colours are dates, the photos are 1990’s.
No wonder then man child can not hold down a real job.

I’m not there yet but I think it’s finding the right calorie amount to maintain, I’d imagine it will be swapping 0% yoghurt for full fat to increase calories etc.

Makes sense. Thanks for replying, sorry for the slight derail!
