I changed my internet provider and now I cant access Prolific surveys. Have emailed them ans they told me Youfibre isnt on their approved list of ISPs so thats me stuffed

justalittlebitextra · 10/10/2023 11:12

@Gatekeeper same happened to me with Prolific (I'm with G Network now). To get any surveys I have to hotspot to my phone connection, and even then there are times it doesn't like it.

PurpleFrog · 10/10/2023 12:16

@Gatekeeper @justalittlebitextra Thanks for the warning about ISPs. It wasn't something that I had thought about, and something I might have done earlier this year when our contract with one of the bigger companies finished. Do they have a list on their website of approved ISPs?

Prolific is being really good for me at the moment, with September netting me just under £360, so I don't want to ruin it inadvertently! Grin

Buster27 · 10/10/2023 13:09

@PurpleFrog impressive Prolific profit!

I'm finding Prolific decent at the moment too so that's helpful to know about ISPs.

For those on Am** - I did it this month and it was good again! No scam sites, I got a couple of decent value clothing items from well known retailers and a cheap beauty item. I did have a skip but it was for a legit site, just didn't sell physical products.

Also did project wash* on App.. it's a one off but an excellent earner. Easy (albeit a slog) and only takes 2-3 days.

lilmishap · 10/10/2023 15:33

Are you on the new prolific.coM site?
It's switched the last few days

lilmishap · 10/10/2023 15:52

I'm on dataannotation and it's surprisingly lucrative (first week) but there are a lot of dodgy reviews.
I'm seeing this as one to put the hours in on and hope for the best till they sack ya.

BecauseOfIndia · 13/10/2023 07:40

@lilmishap How long did you have to wait to receive work after you had done the initial qualifications? I'm really hopeful about this one as the work is interesting for a change, but agree - the reviews are worrying!

lilmishap · 13/10/2023 10:53

@BecauseOfIndia It was about 10 days for me, but it seems to vary a lot. They do seem to do it in batches though

BecauseOfIndia · 14/10/2023 08:36

@lilmishap That's good to know, I got the payment for the qualifications today and that all seemed very easy and straightforward compared to most of the other companies.

Anyone else done the phone calls on Oneforma? They have offered me a project that is to do with mapping (looks to be the same as the Telus one), I'm not sure about it as it has a very long winded qualification (unpaid) and it requires you to have a payoneer account. I closed mine when they started charging. Still, it's nice to actually be offered some work! Potato is deadly these days.

CornishPasty101 · 15/10/2023 20:32

Everything seems so quiet at the moment. And Neevo still owe me money!

Great prolific profit! Are you doing the AI surveys too? Had loads but they seem to have dried up now.

Can we talk s*archsciences? I've finally been accepted, but the payment is £5 per 500 words. The first one took me 2 hours to research and type up to perfection. Is there a knack to it to reach the high figures that I see on here? I'm feeling a bit dejected by the rate of pay vs effort.

PurpleFrog · 16/10/2023 09:19

@Cj19877 Yes I have been. I could have done a lot more, but find them quite intense so tended to only do one or two a day.

Cj19877 · 16/10/2023 10:21

Yes they are quite intense! Have you had any since Friday? I'm hoping they've been paused as I haven't had any since then.

PurpleFrog · 16/10/2023 10:34

I’ve just checked back and the last one I did was on Thursday, but I have emails from “Jim from Prolific” offering me some on Friday morning. I think they were all labelled “multiple submission”, though, so didn’t hang around long enough for me to do one.

Cj19877 · 16/10/2023 10:57

Ah yes, that's the frustration with those multiple submission studies! 🤞 they're just paused for the moment.

Februarycat · 16/10/2023 13:11

@CornishPasty101 I am still waiting for payment from Neevo from around August time.

ruralwanderer · 16/10/2023 16:42

@Cj19877 time and practice is the key with SS. The more you do and the more familiar you become with the topic, the quicker you can submit high quality work. I average £10 an hour but often make more, especially when writing for regular clients whose style and preferences I'm very comfortable with.

Apologies if anyone has already shared this but thought I’d post in case they haven’t! I’ve come across the Planna app today. It encourages you to do household tasks e.g. checking for mould, checking your boiler etc. You earn points just for ticking off that you’ve done these (whether you actually do them is up to you!) and the points can then be converted to vouchers e.g. for Amazon, TK Maxx, Argos, a free Costa coffee.

All you need to do is:

  1. Sign up to Planna with a refer-a-friend link to get 100 points to start you off
  2. Go to the "Plan" tab to see the list of recommended homecare tasks.
  3. Add tasks to your plan and earn points when you tick them off.
  4. Redeem your points for giftcards.

I’ve only signed up this morning and already have enough points for the free Costa coffee.

If anyone wants to use my link, I’d really appreciate it:

I am so confused by Data Aanotation. I did 2 paid qualifications last week for which I've been paid but I've heard nothing since. When I logged in this morning there was another qualification there but for a job totally outisde of my skill set so I declined it. Does this mean I failed the other 2 qualifications? I would be surprised as they were both work that I've done previously. It's so weird to have no means of communicating with them at all 😟

SomersetDreams · 19/10/2023 15:27

If you drive, then I definitely recommend Roamler, Shepper, UK Field Agent and Shiftsmart for quick payments

SomersetDreams · 19/10/2023 17:30

CLickworker has some ^ euro listening tasks atm and others at 1.80

SomersetDreams · 19/10/2023 17:30

6 euro and 1.80 euro

Sookie53 · 20/10/2023 11:23

@BecauseOfIndia I think that when you've done a qualification it can take a few days before any work becomes available to you. I've emailed them before and they're pretty helpful. I did another qualification about 3 days ago but haven't had any jobs from it yet. Once it gets going, it's good!
