@ruralwanderer can I ask you what skills search science is looking for please?
Is it something that you'd have to have copywriting experience of?

I'm trying to up my telus work as could do with some extra cash thanks to all the rising prices.

PandoraRocks · 17/03/2023 23:32

@BecauseOfIndia I've just installed the Cheddar cashback app and you cant use it for Tesco, only Coop and Sainsbury's. Disappointingly small range of shops.

BecauseOfIndia · 18/03/2023 08:12

@PandoraRocks That's odd, I've only had it for a month but Tesco was one of the retailers when I signed up. I admit I do my weekly shop at Sainsburys and seem to spend a small fortune in Wilko, so it really works for me. I think the app is quite new so worth sticking with it as I'm sure more shops will come on board over time.

..I'm a bit surprised they want me to sign up as I didn't mention any of these when I applied!

@ZetaPuppis , hope this helps 🙂

@ruralwanderer thanks. You seem to be doing well with that. Did you have writing experience?
I've had some but it mostly involved finance data.

ruralwanderer · 18/03/2023 09:14

I'd written business cases, process documents, risk assessments etc but never blogs or articles but I've picked it up pretty quickly and really enjoy it.

I've written process documents too! I've forgotten about that. Along with the financial reports, I'll give it a go. Thanks Smile

Question for Intellizoom participants. I've been doing surveys most days this month but have had only one payment so far. Do they tend to wait for the full 21 days before paying? Thanks!

TheWhiteDoor · 21/03/2023 08:53

Yes it is usually 21 days then the payments come
through

Yep and seem a bit slower this month in processing payment.

Bobsyouruncleand · 22/03/2023 14:10

Does anyone know how long after you’ve completed a task, Neevo are supposed to pay out? Also, if they end your run of tasks as your work supposedly didn’t meet quality standards, do you get a partial payment for those tasks that were ok?

It can take over a month for payment.

I've received both partial payment and also no payment before. I don't really bother with them now because of this. You never know what, if anything, you'll get paid. Plus, they pay so poorly nowadays.

LouisCatorze · 22/03/2023 15:16

I find that a lot of the Neevo tasks are less straightforward than they seem. Some guidelines are provided but they don't cover all eventualities so you are almost doomed to not meet quality standards at some point. They don't give feedback either, so it's impossible to learn from one's mistakes!

I've had it with Neevo. I used to get some good tasks and I was paid for 100% of jobs.

But recently I did over 900 tasks and was only paid for about 100, them citing not meeting quality standards. Which was utter rubbish. I'm beginning to think they have turned into scammers or have a cash flow problem. Won't bother with them again.

TheWhiteDoor · 23/03/2023 21:17

Anyone declined SS assignments? I’m a SS newbie and have been given some assignments that I know literally nothing about, wondering if it will reflect badly on me to decline them?

ruralwanderer · 23/03/2023 22:12

If you aren't confident about an assignment, drop an email through. It will either be reallocated or they could provide you with some guidance to help you write it 🙂

@TheWhiteDoor I ended up PM’ing a couple of members about my difficulties at first and their advice was to not overthink it. I have taken that on board and after nearly a dozen tasks, I’m finally feeling like I get it. If you’re new to this kind of work, you can have a crisis of confidence. Feel free to PM me if I can help.

TheChristmasCaca · 23/03/2023 22:59

Is there a link to Search Sciences? Can’t seem to find it via search engine.

sorrynotathome · 24/03/2023 06:55

I'm a SS newbie too and just done my first couple of assignments - I knew absolutely nothing about the subjects and spent far too long on the first one! I wanted to ask @ruralwanderer - how do you reconcile getting $8 for a 5 minute Intellizoom with getting about the same amount for a 600 word SS piece?! I'm trying not to think about it... :)
