Nothing yet, I submitted meter readings last week and waiting nervously..

No, I've set up my online account amd direct debit (as I cancelled the Pure Planet one and just cleared the balance) but it's still showing as details being transferred.

As an aside, when looking at the website there was a bit about perks and of you sign up to Shell Go you can get 3% (I think) of vehicle fuel.

PiffleWiffleWoozle · 11/01/2022 18:00

No and when I log in the account doesn’t even say which tariff it is, let alone what we might owe based on the meter reading.

Handsnotwands · 11/01/2022 18:26

No and my link to set up a new account for expired and no new one has arrived following my request for one

KittenKong · 11/01/2022 18:30

Not yet. I haven’t sent my readings yet…

KittenKong · 11/01/2022 18:31

I must check if it’s a fixed rate…

Youmeanyouvelostyourkey · 11/01/2022 18:32

No, me neither. I did submit a meter reading the other day when requested and they have the last reading from PP. It does tell me the tariff that I am on though.

As per their request, I haven't stopped my PP DD so hope that all goes across properly as I am still paying each month.

Youmeanyouvelostyourkey · 11/01/2022 18:33

@KittenKong Unlikely. When people are transferred, they go on to the variable tariff which is the one limited by the cap.

I was with Shell at my old house and saw that but never looked into it to find out how to get the perk, and we'll be moving again in a few weeks.

I vaguely remember getting an email with the tariff details on last year but I can't seem to find it!! I know it was almost double though Sad

Shell said they would move the Direct Debit so mine is still going out to Pure Planet atm

Chasingsquirrels · 11/01/2022 18:55

This is the tariff I've been moved onto.

Summersdreaming · 11/01/2022 18:57

I cancelled the direct debit as I was in a small credit, and suspected we would have moved out by the time it all got sorted, I would rather clear the bill in full when it eventually arrives. I didn't want them being able to take payment willy nilly without seeing the charges first.

My PP direct debit normally went on the 11th. I didn't cancel and it was taken in Oct, Nov & Dec (and added to my balance at PP), but it hasn't gone today. So the wheels are grinding slowly behind the scenes.

I’ve just had a poke about their site and it seems to be a SVR which is capped until April. I have been asked to set up a DD - but have no idea of it’s going to be for £100 or £1000 a month!!

If you've been moved after your supplier went bust, you'll be on the price cap tariff or a special ex PP tariff that's this rate more or less. (capped at around £1280 pa for typical usage, obviously what you pay depends on what you use).

They won't start taking DDs without telling you how much it is and it should be 1/12 of your expected usage, adjusted to repay any debt, or use up any credit.

pastypirate · 12/01/2022 09:59

If I log into my account with shell online I can see the usage graphs but still no bill.

Summersdreaming · 12/01/2022 12:40

@BarbaraofSeville yep I thought that was the case, the tariff is called flexible 6 and I've found the details online now, thanks.

I have just had my first DD taken from Shell on the 15th. It was £111 so not too bad and they based this on my final meter readings with Pure planet. I actually cancelled my direct debit when Pure Planet went bust as I read there was no obligation to continue and didn't feel comfortable paying a company that went bust. So this is my first bill since October... will probably get a massive bill when I send in my meter readings! But we shall see.

Chasingsquirrels · 16/01/2022 09:59

crystalize I did the same re cancelling the Pure Planet dd (rather have the money in my account than theirs, and just pay the actual supplier when they sort themselves out). I sid a bank payment to Pure Planet for the final bill when they raised it.

I have set up a Shell dd but not other info on the account yet, and haven't been notified of a dd amount - were you? As I understand it they have to notify the amount to be taken in advance, under the terms of the dd scheme?

MrsSquirrel · 16/01/2022 14:00

I also cancelled my Pure Planet dd when they went bust. My final bill said I had £10 credit.

I set up a direct debit with Shell and sent them a meter reading when asked at the end of December. After I set it up, I received an acknowledgement with the dd amount. It's about one third more than what I was paying previously. They still haven't taken any payment.

crystalize · 16/01/2022 20:14

@Chasingsquirrels Yes I was notified first of the direct debit, this was also after they emailed me to set up my account. They said it was based on my last reading in October.

pastypirate · 21/01/2022 16:08

I can see more now. It's showing we are £270 in credit. I'm quite relieved

Youmeanyouvelostyourkey · 21/01/2022 16:30

My old PP has disappeared from my bank acct and hasn't been replaced yet so not sure what payts will be.

I clicked on the make payt tab and it says I can't as £447 in credit. So at least my payts have transferred over. They haven't worked out any bills yet though since October so can't see that we will be in credit, Guess I will need to put my DD amount to one side so that I don't get a nasty surprise

My dd has vanished too. I was paying up until Jan so I think my credit amount may be correct
earlydoors42 · 21/01/2022 18:27

This is useful thank you. I didn't cancel my.direct debit as they said not to, so I hope it has ended up at the right place. I will check if my Pure Planet one has stopped now. My account isn't set up properly yet with Shell. I did send in meter readings though. They were lucky I set it up as they sent the link that only lasts 24 hours to me on Christmas Day!
