I couldn't see a November thread so have copied the list from last month.

I've been on these threads for aaages now, but have been incredibly lazy lately!

So now it is November and those extra pennies could really come in handy, let's all try and boost our Christmas spending money.

Huge thank you to @otterses for setting this up and to everyone who has contributed and kept it going !!

I wanted to post, only having started App in May last year. Firstly these threads have been amazing and so informative so thanks to everyone involved :)

App, hang in there if you're applying for projects. Something will come along, in my best month I managed to earn over £1000 but I was knackered ha ha! If you can get yourself on to a steady project then it's definitely worth it. Takes lots of patience and perseverance but there are lots of helpful people on here with experience. Good luck! :)

AnotherOne4 · 03/11/2021 06:34

@LoLo2020 aww remember the days of earning over £1000. I think it's only happened to me once, but what a good month that was!

I just got up early to work on Ap, and there is no work Angry

PurBal · 03/11/2021 07:44

Been doing Prolific since mid October. Only doing shorter mobile ones as can do when breastfeeding. Not up to £10 a day, didn’t think I would, but averaging £2.70. Which definitely helps top up statutory maternity pay! (Also put some cash saved for building work we can’t yet afford into premium bonds).

Thanks for the new thread!

September was so shit but Fancy Hat saved my October. I'll have to see how much I made but I think it's close to a grand, which definitely helps as we're having a bit of a money crisis at the mo. I also lost access to Fancy Hat so the last week has been a bit meh, but Riv has started for me and I managed a bit of SC yesterday (although no jobs this morn, boo) and I still have A**r to do. So the beginning of November doesn't look too bad. Smile

Not sure how it's November though! I can't believe it's Christmas next month!

Ooh that was a great total. What's Fancy Hat?
YonderTweek · 03/11/2021 13:17

@peabrainer It's a silly code name for a project on Appen. Grin

What does it start with so I can see if it's on my list of available projects? It's weird, I don't seem to have lots which are mentioned on here x

IsMaithLiomLeaba · 03/11/2021 14:50

Just started following this thread last month. I applied for Rev and Way With Words, rejected from WWW Sad still waiting to hear from Rev. And also signed up on Appen but so far haven't had any work. I did get onto TranscribeMe, the pay isn't great but it's the only thing I've got, so I made $17 just in the last 5 days of October Grin

Oh no :( Did the workflow return yesterday? Those £1000+ months were amazing!

AnotherOne4 · 04/11/2021 07:59

@LoLo2020 No work last night Sad but looks like there may be some this morning. They've offered 40 hours for this week, I'm not even close.

They have approved my Oct invoice though, so that's good news Grin (Just read some of the smart arses in chat have had there invoices returned/declined (that's a shame))

I had a relatively good month last month - a full month on N on Ap and £100 from other survey sites. Prolific is still very slow for me though, although I've just missed out on a couple of higher paying ones so they would have bumped me up.

I've got a voice recording one to do for Ap* today as well, in the car but no traffic noise, so I suspect I'm going to be a bit stop start with it, especially as it's bin day!

anxiouswaiting · 04/11/2021 13:11

There seems to be a lot on Prolific today!

YonderTweek · 04/11/2021 13:13

@peabrainer It starts with a C. Smile

Just going through my purchases and I was delighted to get a craft beer advent calendar. Grin I really wanted one when I was doing A**r last year but they were sold out. Haha, Christmas came really early this year.

bearlyactive · 04/11/2021 13:41

Just signed up to Appen. How do you see available tasks?

cantbeforeal · 04/11/2021 13:51

Prolific's been awful for me after a good first 3 weeks on it. I made £100 in the first 3 weeks after I joined but I've barely made anything after that 😓

Uponastarr · 04/11/2021 14:23

Clickworker has the iPhone robots if anyone does that one - nice €15

I have the Appen app but there never seems to be anything on it is this normal? There's one listed but says collection is now closed so assuming no point in applying for that

Every time I see the title of this thread I think of Nearly Headless Nick. Grin

Homebird36 · 05/11/2021 13:16

Hi,

on App* I have been accepted on to cro and Bre which I need to complete on the app. However when I log on to the app and click on the project and click the 'task list' tab there is nothing there. Could there be a problem with the app? Or has the project not started yet? Or could it be full?
One of these projects Cro* I had to record sentences in my car and seemed a nice one to do so disappointed I can't access it.

Can anyone please give me any advice. Thank you

Buster27 · 05/11/2021 14:27

Yay my 20Cogs have finally turned green and I've just cashed out £125 (£74 profit).

@Homebird36 I'm on Cro* but don't have the app on my current phone so haven't tried it yet. Did you get the email this morning with instructions? If not you might not have access yet.
I'm not sure what the other project is so assume I'm not on it. Unfortunately it's not uncommon to get accepted onto App projects but not end up getting any work.

onemouseplace · 05/11/2021 15:57

@Homebird36 @Buster27 I'm on Cr* as well (the voice recording in car one). The task was up on my app yesterday and I did the first part, but when I went out to do the second part in the car this morning, the second part wasn't there, which was quite annoying.

I'm going to raise a ticket if it's not up by tomorrow as I need to get the second part done within 72 hours.

Graphista · 05/11/2021 17:20

I've popped up asking before so apologies if I'm annoying!

I have signed up for
Media rewards (listens in to hear what ads you're exposed to etc)

Shoppix - very interested in similar apps

Erewards I signed up to I think via nectar card

I was going through Clubcard and nectar card info and seeing I haven't been making best use of these is that kinda thing discussed here also?

I'm interested in doing surveys, I have a laptop now which I didn't before. I'm SHOCKINGLY out of practice using ms office! I need the practice! So if there are things I could do that would make that the case I think that would be good for me.

I used to be ace on excel etc and I just seem to have forgotten SO MUCH! It's insane! Purely household budget the other day I realised I'd forgotten how to create an equation across 2 or more worksheets in the same spreadsheet. Once I'd googled and reminded myself I was like "of course!" But wow it was hard finding the exact thing I wanted to do!

I'm also wanting to perhaps do a free education course or 2 in the new year. Disabled and not worked for years and wanting to brush up my skills with a view to possibly next year wfh self employed in some capacity. Would be something admin/writing based.

I do have a linguistics degree, also a smattering of Mfl skills but no quals beyond gcse french!

Not interested in buying physical items that need delivering and possibly returning as that would be too tricky for me

I really don't mind if the financial rewards are minimal every little helps right? But it would be rewarding to me in an exercising my brain way

Not sure if I would need additional equipment for some of the work? What kind of set ups do you guys have?

I have laptop but no printer, iPhone, kindle fire tablet (which is pretty crap to be fair), and AirPods (not sure if these would be ok for audio typing and transcription work?)

I'm not good enough/confident enough on maths to do shares or matched betting

What kinda tasks/sites would you regulars advise to gradually ease into this?

furryous · 05/11/2021 19:56

@Graphista have you signed up with Rev? There's a couple of people here that make steady money doing transcription work for them - once you get to a decent level. Airpods would be fine for that. I've heard Way With Words is good also but it can be hard to pass the test to get in.
