As we're a few days into October thought I'd set up a new thread ( but couldn't think of a creative title!)

Hope everyone had a good September and hopefully lots of earning to be had this month. Welcome to any newcomers.. I've (hopefully) copied the usual links over from the last thread but if you have any questions ask away, there's usually someone who can help Smile

Micro tasks / Moderation work – generally the biggest earners.

@AnotherOne4, I didn't get invited to SC unfortunately. How are you getting on with it? I got invited to A*s. Did 12 and then had the you've completed all your work message. Clearly I was rubbish! It's all a bit depressing at the moment.

AnotherOne4 · 16/10/2021 10:42

@Catatemyhomework I'm doing SC now. It's a bit rubbish, and I'm not convinced I'm doing it right. There is hardly anyone in chat and the conversation are dead lol.

Catatemyhomework · 16/10/2021 10:45

@AnotherOne4, that's a shame but at least it's a project. I'd love to have been invited. Still can't access fancy hat so I'm a bit in limbo at the moment

cantbeforeal · 16/10/2021 10:47

This is my link for Freetrade for you to use to get a free share. I used one from someone else on the thread and got a free share worth £7.20

It's a shame you didn't get it. They've sent the email out offering extra hours this week too.
I never got offered fancy hat. Always puzzles me how they decide who gets offered what job.

AnotherOne4 · 17/10/2021 10:14

Missing you guys on Appen chat Sad @Frenchdoors1 how you doin? You working on anything?

Frenchdoors1 · 17/10/2021 10:49

Hi @AnotherOne4 Grin
Yes it was good on the chat, seems like a distant memory now...
Nah, not working on anything from Ap at the moment.

TheLolaMontez · 17/10/2021 11:41

Anyone who works Rev - is it common to have zero jobs available? I am brand new to it and I did my first proper job on Friday and got 5/5 (woo!). I'm being quite picky about the jobs I take at the moment as I don't want to make loads of mistakes and get kicked off! There were a lot available yesterday but I didn't really have the time with kids etc, looked today and there's nothing at all. Is this common? I'm not yet a "proper" revver, need to do more minutes to get verified or whatever it is.

8dpwoah · 17/10/2021 11:45

I think there's nothing much uploaded on Rev during the USA night time/weekend/ holidays @thelolamontez that's what I've noticed anyway... Always seems quite busy in the evenings as I guess that's the middle of the working day for them so I suppose there might stuff there on Saturday mornings but not a lot on our Monday morning as it's still night there?

I can't say that's fact though 😂

TheLolaMontez · 17/10/2021 11:47

Ahhh I see! Thanks @8dpwoah Smile that would make sense Grin

curdsandwhey · 17/10/2021 13:14

Those of you who declare your income, if you get gift vouchers did you declare these too, if it's just a £10-20 Amazon gift card or something?

curdsandwhey · 17/10/2021 17:29

Can someone please help me with Clickworker? I tried to apply ages ago and they've finally got back to me saying they require proof of address which must be no more than three months old. They're insisting it needs to be a copy of an actual physical letter or bill that's been received in the post. How?! My banking and phone bill are all online, I don't want to send them a bank statement anyway, and I tried downloading a PDF of my phone bill but it's a very basic copy that doesn't look very professional. Surely loads of people these days get everything done online? The only physical letter I have is about a very private medical appointment so I don't want to send that. What can I do?

curdsandwhey · 17/10/2021 17:40

Also I just received a little parcel in the post this week, but because everyone's trying to save paper and be environmentally friendly, they didn't even include a delivery note so I can't even use something like that. What can I do? It sounds like Clickworker really does bring in money for some people and it's something I feel would really suit me.

onemouseplace · 17/10/2021 19:09

Council Tax? I’ve always used that even with places with the 3 month thing with no problems.

curdsandwhey · 17/10/2021 19:46

Even our council tax is online now, so no paper bills.

mydogisthebest · 17/10/2021 20:07

That's one of the reasons I refuse to go paperless on everything. I still get paper bank statements and council tax bills.

It's ridiculous that places want to see a bill as proof of address when we are being told we should go paperless

kathcake21 · 17/10/2021 21:22

In case anyone isn't a member yet you can get a free share on Freetrade worth up to £200 for just a £1.

My link is magic.freetrade.io/join/katherine/92f7b698

I'm over £1400 profits now, so much better then what a savings account could get me.

thanks :)

TheLolaMontez · 19/10/2021 11:56

Does anyone else agonise over picking a rev project? I just can't decide what to do, I must have been flicking through for half an hour now and the ones I like the look of get snapped up so fast! Argh

furryous · 19/10/2021 12:35

@TheLolaMontez You're better to just preview briefly and grab the file, then after listening a little more closely unclaim it if you feel you can't do it. You don't get penalised for immediate unclaims. Otherwise you can spend ages chasing your tail before you even start a file and it all eats into your total 'hourly rate'.

WizardOfAus · 19/10/2021 14:27

Hey Crispers... there's a truck load of content in Mod2 right now. 4000+ items. Today is REALLY busy for some reason.

Snowballs1 · 19/10/2021 22:19

Thanks for the info Wizard, I was asleep but I see from my emails that there were some NM2 shifts, haven't seen any of them for a while!
Will try & do some later on but have found some interesting MN threads to read, so can't motivate myself yet, it's much easier when I can't find anything to interest me on here!

curdsandwhey · 21/10/2021 11:56

Could I please ask everyone's opinion on some of the mystery shopping tasks (on Roamler) where you have to buy a product, then get reimbursed once you've written a review on the supermarket website? What's your view from an ethical position? I just don't know how I feel about it. I also saw one where you had to order something on Amazon and write a review there. I really don't know if I'd feel comfortable doing so but apparently it's more common than we realise?

IsMaithLiomLeaba · 21/10/2021 12:47

Hi all, new to the thread. I've signed up for Apn, Rev and WWW. Waiting to hear back from Apn and Rev but I had passed the audio assessment with WWW and was doing the offline assessment. Spent at least an hour doing it (not finished yet) and then when I went to log back in I can't get into my account!? I've emailed them but I have read that they delete accounts with no warning... would they really have deleted me when I haven't even finished the assessment process yet Shock was really enjoying the work too.

8dpwoah · 21/10/2021 13:18

Hi @ismaithliomleaba I would definitely give them plenty of chance to respond before worrying too much- I've found WWW to be a really genuine company but they aren't a massive team in the main office so sometimes they reply at funny times. I'm certain they won't delete you while you're progressing through recruitment, I do know that if you don't submit an invoice for a period of time they take you off but talking generally they are very communicative and it feels like you are actually part of a 'normal' job team if you see what I mean?

RightsHoardingRaptor · 21/10/2021 15:10

Is Ap down for anyone?
