As we're a few days into October thought I'd set up a new thread ( but couldn't think of a creative title!)

Hope everyone had a good September and hopefully lots of earning to be had this month. Welcome to any newcomers.. I've (hopefully) copied the usual links over from the last thread but if you have any questions ask away, there's usually someone who can help Smile

Micro tasks / Moderation work – generally the biggest earners.

Thanks @TheHumanFund and @Tohaveandtohold I was on the monthly one and never had any problems but since being switched to the weekly pilot it's been nothing but time consuming stress. The support tickets don't get answered and I haven't been paid the right amount or received the full reimnursements. I wish I was still on the monthly one!

Buster27 · 31/10/2021 14:11

@LoLo2020 Anc is good, I started towards the end of the month. More work coming next week apparently and project should last the rest of the year (although you never know!).

Hello,

I have just been applying for lots of new App** projects. I have noticed that quite a few of them are asking if I have translation, transcription or proof reading experience. They are also asking if I have a linguistics degree. I have a degree but not in linguistics. Is it worth me applying for these if I don't have a linguistics degree and no experience in translation, transcription or proof reading. Thank you for any advice you can give.

That's good to hear :) I'll await access to the tool which I've yet to be granted access to. RV has now started so I've gone from no work to potentially too much! FT job this end too :/

AdaShelby · 01/11/2021 20:16

Is it Am33 tonight?

bookgirl1982 · 01/11/2021 20:50

Yes @AdaShelby the email should come overnight

Buster27 · 01/11/2021 21:13

Ooh I have products loaded in the tool - I haven't been selected the last couple of months so this is exciting. Looks like I'm on ecomm this time (always been shops previously) so I'll need to make sure I follow the right guidelines!

I have 10 items. First is a pane of glass for a greenhouse Shock

YonderTweek · 01/11/2021 21:34

Ooooooohhh I'm on A**r again. Smile I was just thinking how I need my teeth whitened somehow and the first product is a tooth whitening kit. Am I manifesting things now? Grin

Looks like Riv started. It's very confusing.

Redcrayons · 02/11/2021 07:30

12 items for me, so far I’ve skipped 2 and got a pair of quite nice looking boots. Suspiciously cheap for ‘leather’ but let’s see what turns up.

Will do the others later.

Redcrayons · 02/11/2021 07:31

Payoneer question, does anyone if or how you withdraw to PayPal? I’ve raised a ticket but it doesn’t fit into any category so I haven’t had a reply.

Uponastarr · 02/11/2021 09:39

What’s the view on a**r now you can’t return items (in the new guidelines)? I’m always out of pocket after the exchange rate so the fee for doing them makes up for that shortfall but then I get very little for doing it. Was great when I could
Return things and get a £50 refund etc but not sure it’s worth it if I can’t do that 🤔

Bowlofhotslop · 02/11/2021 10:05

@Uponastarr I think the change is aimed at protecting small businesses and I think it’s the right thing to do. I never returned to those anyway as I thought it was unfair. I had one from Amazon last month with the new guidance and I did return that, there’s no way they would know and it’s not going to make a difference to Amazon at all. I also had a cardigan with a stain and a big plucked thread in the back so I complained to the Chinese company and they gave me a full refund.
I think if I was doing it to make money I probably wouldn’t bother, I like it because it’s quite fun and I’ve had some really good items in the past that I wouldn’t have bought otherwise.

MarigoldMoonStone · 02/11/2021 10:07

@Uponastarr why do you think you can’t return things? How would they even know? I returned things last month.

Bowlofhotslop · 02/11/2021 10:12

@MarigoldMoonStone it says you are not allowed in the updated guidance.

IslaPineappple · 02/11/2021 10:21
@Uponastarr why do you think you can’t return things? How would they even know? I returned things last month.
Don't return things, they can check with the smaller companies. Not worth getting kicked off

Uponastarr · 02/11/2021 10:21

Yes I’ve not returned to small businesses either but I had a top from Bon marche so just returned it when i went into town and I guess they wouldn’t know.
It is fun though. Might keep at it for a few months and see what I think.

MarigoldMoonStone · 02/11/2021 10:23

Oh oops I never noticed that. What I returned last month was to a big international designer company so should be okay.

MarigoldMoonStone · 02/11/2021 10:24

I would be surprised if they can check though due to data protection.

anxiouswaiting · 02/11/2021 11:16

Can't believe it is November already!

Couldn't see a new thread so I have started one. let's hope November is a month where we all make lots of money!!

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/legal_money_matters/4391072-Earn-10-a-day-Nearly-Christmas-November?watched=1

Redcrayons · 02/11/2021 11:24

I didn’t know there was a specific rule that you can’t send things back. How can they possibly check when the suppliers don’t know where you came from?
It’s not worth doing for just the piece rate when it’s stuff you don’t want or cant use.

My local charity shop were delighted with the bag full of stuff I dropped off last week.

Bowlofhotslop · 02/11/2021 11:33

@Redcrayons I think it must be a new rule, it wasn’t there in June when I was last on the task but is now. There have been instances of small businesses contacting people and asking how they found out about them etc presumably lots of unusual orders for one specific product and they have also updated the guidance to say you can tell them it’s mystery shopping but to give no details.

MarigoldMoonStone · 02/11/2021 15:01

But the guideline is quite blasé I think, and doesn’t say anything about them auditing it. The way it is worded I would say it is definitely more about smaller businesses. I’m not going to feel guilty about returning to big well known companies.

Woeismethischristmas · 08/11/2021 12:44

Just curious does anyone know how much you get as a Nielsen member I got an email saying I’d been selected after I applied ages ago. Also do you have to declare survey income? I do claim UC and I work so in theory should give them 67p of everything?
