Has anyone done the Elk**m project on Appen? I’d nearly finished it and the submitted to do the last set and it said no work found so can’t complete it. It’s taken me over an hour so far so will be so annoyed if I don’t get paid for it.

@Adelais I have done that one about a week or so ago.
I think you need to complete it within 48hrs of starting it, don't know if that's what you mean and that's why you were unable to finish it.

Or, the task is actually finished.

You'll get paid for the work you have completed but you could still message them and say you were nearly at the end and that happened

@endofday looking at my paypal history it's usually 2 or 3 days after submitting the invoice, however these have always been within the same week. I think it would be safe to say 2 or 3 working days, I'd be expecting to receive it later on today hopefully.

Interested to see if anyone else has already been paid though

@AppleJane I tried the code again and miraculously worked.

Been following the £10 a day since it started but took a break when I started uni last October, as didn't get chance to side hustle. Never got called to potato so re done the test and I'm waiting list again.

@Frenchdoors1 I was doing it all in one go but after go to the last one and it said there’s no more work available. I think you only get paid to complete 15 tasks (30 files) and I’ve only done 14. I’ve sent an email to check that I’ll still get paid.

@Adelais Oh you'll definitely still get paid as it's out of your control that there were no more tasks

I got the SD "it's over" email and I'm sad as it was lovely money and I was hoping it'd sort me through the summer months.
I have applied for YKN and not got the invite -I know the exam is meant to be gruelling to tbh I'd do it. I've only got prolific as an earner now; none of my applications to other appen things have resulted in work!
Hmn. What to do now...

Hi all, had a poke about on here before but now with a possible first time house purchase on the cards that will wipe out the vast majority of my savings, and baby #2 on the way, I've started thinking about making some extra cash. Rev sounded right up my alley, so I signed up BUT...feeling a bit put out that my application wasn't approved! Spent a fair bit of time getting it right (so I thought), have a good background with English Language qualifications and professional experience etc...I don't think I'm shit... - really can't think where I went wrong. Does anyone have any idea of anything glaringly obvious I might have missed? Have any tips or experience of re-doing the application and making changes that ensured success? I did notice that the website is saying there is a waitlist because of high interest at the moment, but the email just said 'not approved'. Alternatively, are there any other such sites anyone can recommend? Was really looking forward to getting stuck in! Thank you

I applied for Rev out of curiosity well over a month ago and have heard nothing at all, @Kimblebee19 but I have been merrily working for another transcription company called Way With Words. It's hard to get into but they are a lovely company and always plenty of work on there whenever I look. The pay rates aren't great on the basic files but once you get access to the quicker turnaround or more complex ones it looks a bit more attractive. Well worth a look to see if they are recruiting at the moment, the training and support is great and it's a fairly small team so you get to 'know' them fairly quickly.
