So…Prolific, going ok, up to almost a tenner since yesterday afternoon, registered for Crisp and on waiting list, CW need to redo the test thingy cos I messed up the email address.

What’s the App thing everyone talks about and what other good ones should I get onto? The science research ones are so interesting!

Frenchdoors1 · 08/07/2021 10:27

@Bunnyfuller App is Appen Smile

It all seems quite desktop/laptop heavy as opposed to mobile devices and tablets - is this generally the case?

Frenchdoors1 · 08/07/2021 11:01

@Bunnyfuller Yes this is generally the case as there is only an odd one here & there that needs to be done on a mobile.

On the Crisp website it says 'Join the waiting list for Risk Analyst Contractors'.

Please could someone give a simple definition of a Risk Analyst Contractor and what sort of things they do? Is it less complicated than it sounds?!

Frenchdoors1 · 08/07/2021 12:45

@AppleJane I'm not on Crisp but it's rating things posted online that shouldn't be there

Can anyone recommend which is the better Payoneer option please? PayPal or bank transfer?

TheLolaMontez · 08/07/2021 17:43

I do bank transfer @mommathatwearspink - never had an issue

Bunnyfuller · 08/07/2021 17:53

Hello!

I’m up to £31 on Prolific with loads waiting!

Signed up to others but not a lot happening yet.

What is Revs?

MiddlesexGirl · 08/07/2021 18:01

That's exceptional for Prolific. I've been there a while and rarely been offered more than one or two surveys a day. Today I got three(!) for a grand total of £3.80. I'm not complaining though. They are much the most interesting of the bunch.

Redcrayons · 08/07/2021 18:11

You review posts on social media for various companies and decide whether they should be removed or not.

I'm bored....I've just been trawling through Ap, looking for another project. Wish they would offer me something....
I've done my SD hours for the week. There is nowt happening on Prolific, CW looks dead.....

Bunnyfuller · 08/07/2021 19:29

What’s SD? And Revs?

Buster27 · 08/07/2021 19:35

@Bunnyfuller SD is a project on Appen. Rev is transcription work.

AppleJane · 08/07/2021 21:19

Thank you @Frenchdoors1 and @Redcrayons that makes sense now Smile

How would you sum up the tasks on Appen? (Apart from the buying task that everyone talks about!)

Newbie7543 · 08/07/2021 21:20

Hello, I'm new here been scrolling through the threads.

Ive started signing up to sites suggested and I've done a few bits.

What's this one your all on about with buying products? Sounds interesting

Frenchdoors1 · 08/07/2021 21:33

@AppleJane You're welcome.

Personally I've found them alright.
Everyone is different though as some of it depends on your criteria and what you can and can't do.

If you sign up you'll see what fits for you. Sometimes though if you apply for something you may or may not get it, again, may be area specific etc.

Some need qualifications/ experience etc. Some don't.

A lot on here are enjoying the buying task but I haven't done it.

A few people on here, now & in the past get/ have had regular projects.

You'll know what's what when you've been signed up for a bit and how it works.

SleepyMama2021 · 08/07/2021 22:01

I've done about £12 of surveys on prolific, some are a lot of work for not much pay though!
Did a £5 testing time one too :)
Just completed the intellizoom training thingie so that needs to be approved...
I signed up to utest but there is a lot to do in the learning academy and I haven't found time yet! I wish there was text instead of videos, easier to consume at speed for me. Already had test cycle invites but I feel like I don't know what I'm doing yet
Signed up for some bits on appen and people for research but haven't heard back from any yet

Time for bed!

MiddlesexGirl · 08/07/2021 22:31

The uTest videos all have the transcript beneath. I'd agree though that it's horribly time consuming for what's being taught. I haven't really got going with uTest yet because the others are being more lucrative in the slightly limited time I have.
In terms of pay per enjoyment I think Intellizoom is the best I've done so far but I am a newbie so haven't built up the levels of experience that others have.

Catatemyhomework · 08/07/2021 22:45

I've done all my reimbursements for Sho*e today and my first item arrived, an enormous Liverpool FC tee-shirt. Hoping I can return it. Still haven't read the guidelines for Yu*n. I think I will have to see if I can reschedule the exam. I just haven't had the chance to do it yet.

Gatekeeper · 09/07/2021 09:16

Did very well on A**r this time so am chuffed. Mens cargo shorts, a fab, quirky jumper that dd has nabbed, a bottle of vodka, a skirt, sports bra, CK underpants from a dead expensive shop, a plant and a cup from Etsy

Heyha · 09/07/2021 10:53

Had s bit of free time this morning (got to love July in a school!) So have applied for Yu* and the moon one on Ap in the hope of getting onto something a bit more regular during the holidays. If not I'll try to do more WWW but I do like a bit of variety!

peabrainer · 09/07/2021 13:44

Am* / Shosh people: I feel too bad to return things that I buy from small companies (even when they are over-priced reed diffusers!). I have managed to sell things on EBay quite successfully and I don't mind returning to bigger companies. Do others have similar dilemmas?
