I've just quickly started a new thread as the other one was finishing

I was hoping potato would be a lip, but it’s not getting any better so will make a massive effort to get onto some other projects.

Anyone had an Amur availability survey yet?

@PandemicPalava, thank you! I have no idea how I passed! I have been in production for 2 weeks now but I'm so slow that I'm only doing 3 or 4 tasks an hour. I'm finding it quite scary! I'm hoping I get faster as I earn about £2 an hour at the moment.
I'm sure you'll be fine. The thing I did was to take ages doing it. I reckon I spent about a week on it. Good luck!

For those of you who do potato - have you been paid yet? I get paid via bank transfer but have still not received anything. I think this may be the latest. Last time it was on the 23rd.

@whysotriggered I was paid on the 14th, the princely sum of £6.47 for my work during April
Paid through paypal if that makes a difference.

@rhij86 yes paypal is much much faster, I should probably switch to that method, I don't really understand why using your bank is so much slower

@whysotriggered do they take any fees off you for bank transfer? they do with paypal so was actually considering flipping the other way, but if it's super slow then I'll need to wait for a stage where I'm not relying on the money come in so it then doesn't matter when it comes in (not that I can do much with around a fiver haha)

A question for you regarding potato, when do you find the best time to work in terms of work volume?

@rhij86 I haven't noticed a difference between invoice and amount received so I assume that means no fees are taking. That's food for thought, it's tricky enough to make the small amount I make on potato so really don't want to have to deal with fees too.

There's not a good time for potato at the moment. It's been useless for a couple of months.

With regards to the volume of work, lately, I don't think there is any 'good time'. I have worked in the morning, afternoon and evening including late at night and it all seems about the same. There is the odd day when the morning is good or late at night is good but then the next day the same time is slow! I really hope things pick up.

I was paid on the 18th by Crisp and I do bank transfer as regards volume it seems the busy periods are between 1-5 am.
Is anyone doing A***ic on Appen? I've just started and the volume of work is insane which is great for me as I have only managed about £50 peeling potatoes 🙄

@Fizbo, thanks, I've sent them a query about my payment. I find it annoying that I have to do this when I am hardly being paid loads in the first place!!

I've yet to receive my potato payment. i do bank transfer, usually paid on 22nd so was expecting it today but as yet nothing through yet. Thankfully it's for a measly £33 so not relying on it 🙄

Any one doing HITapps through appen/uhrs I've recently gotten access to it sorted and I'm a bit lost on what I can do and how I get paid?

I'm also yet to be paid by potato (bank transfer). It's getting later and later each month, not panicking yet though. There have been a few people piping up on slack so I'm sure we're not alone.

I really tried not to give up, but that’s it with potato. I can’t be getting stressed about making the minimum amount for the month. It’s just not worth it anymore.
I’ll have to focus on other things.

Potato got back to me, they have my invoice but are still processing payments so could be as late as 30th!

Oh bugger. Missed that. I have a 40min video I have to caption for Rev by 7pm tonight so was totally focused on that while my mum had dd for a couple of hours.

I’ve been waiting 5 days now for my final project to be graded so that I can hopefully move out of Rookie.

@Igloo71 I must have been lucky, the longest I had to wait for grading was under 10 hours.
