Hi all, happy May. Welcome to this months thread. I'll load up the link later. If anyone else wants to do it, feel free, I'm rubbish at it.

The idea of this thread is to earn a bit of extra cash, as the title suggest. Have a look and these threads go back a while and might give you some ideas.

Newbies welcome. We're a lovely, helpful lot.

@Frenchdoors1, have you set the date/time filter? Go to user metrics on left and then top right select the month and time just below your name. On the drop down date and time, enter the time span you want to review as it always defaults to the last 12 hours.

I have applied for Gob**dor on Appen. I have been asked to complete some more info. They ask me 'Which English dialect is your primary dialect?'. There is then a drop down menu and a choice of many including Irish, Scottish, American, South African and many more but English isn't there. Can anyone give me any advice on what to do?

Similar issue on Mea**w. It asks some questions which I can answer. Then it says 'In which country have you lived in for most of your life prior to moving to the UK?'. However I have lived in the UK my whole life and there is not any option to click that. Just a list of other countires and it won't let me submit my info and move on unless I choose a country. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you

Same here, no option to put the UK.
I sent a message to them and just got one back saying it was 'noted, thank you'
So that was that Hmm

Lol @ have a nap. Might not be a bad idea though.

Apparently you can play around in the metrics and see when the last batch of data was uploaded and how many have been rated etc. I’ve always been too scared to mess around with it though, incase I bugger it all up lol

I have done the test after reading the confusing instructions and tried to make sense of it all, like, do I tick that box and that box and that box, or do I just tick on 1 box, or maybe it could be 3 boxes! I failed the 1st test then I did the 2nd test and got 2 right out of 5, so I attempted the proper work then and still wasn't 100% sure so I'm not bothering. It's well mashing my head in Hmm

Try it though and see if you can make better sense of it than me.

I know things get easier the more you do them but I kept looking at the instructions and I thought I had sussed it, then I wasn't so sure when it came to clicking in the boxes which ones to put, but I thought I was sure iyswim.

I'm wondering the same, so a couple of jobs showed up this avo but nothing since. I wonder whether they've halted it due to issues arising from the audit perhaps? (Catastrophising there 😁)

Ugh, I’ve been on and off Suth all day and haven’t had a single job! Best crack on with some transcription because I’ve been totally slacking this week whilst there’s been other work but now I’ve got nothing. 😂

I was excited to do the Shshne availability quiz but I’ve just realised it starts on the 7th June and my due date is the 10th. Don’t think it’ll be the best timing to be trying to faff about with that for the first time if my baby arrives on time! 😂 I have zero other projects to work on on Ap at the moment!

@Frenchdoors1 I passed the Neevo job on the second attempt. I started doing the job, but it's too hit and miss for me. Too much of a guessing game.

I think I'm suffering from FOMO. I can't switch the laptop off, I have to leave the SD job open JUST IN CASE......
