Welcome to the Feb thread.

Newbies welcome. We're all here for the same thing, get together and earn some extra cash. Aim for £10/day but every little (or lots) is good.

@WizardOfAus £400 on crisp is great going how do you do that? I find it slow going and get bored!

@littlegem84 I haven't had anything from Neevo for quite a while now either. It's a shame as I quite like Neevo work!

I'm not getting auto invoices for any Facebook survey tasks, I've raised a ticket but I guess I'll have to screenshot from now on. Quite annoying something so simple doesn't work!

I had an email the other day for a project beginning with Gob but the email link goes nowhere. Anyone know any more?

I do 1.5 hours every day. I try and accept as many NM2 shifts as possible, so you get a £2 bonus on top. I wasn’t fast at first, but the more I did it, the more I improved. Don’t get me wrong, it’s boring as fuck. But I have a glass of wine and classic FM on the background as I work and it makes it that bit easier to cope.

@Heyha yes they are terrible at adding the surveys, they used to be fine but these last two invoices have been terrible. I keep a list and had to send it to them this time round. They added half and didn't bother with the others so I had to contact them again and now its too late so they said they would add it to the next month's invoice!!! I literally wrote it out for them and they still couldn't manage it!

@Heyha are the Facebook surveys frequent long term ? Thanks

I've only been on them since Jan but one is weekly and one is every other day (I think! I just do them when I remember). They don't pay a lot- nothing at all while they aren't on my invoice 🙄- but it's the only Appen project I've managed to get on so far.

@WizardOfAus I'm liking the idea of the wine and some music, good plan

@Baby89 yeah they are a couple of times a week for one and every few days for the other that I'm on but I think there are more than that.

Good to see it's not just me having invoice issues!

@8dpwoah have you had any luck getting the invoicing sorted?

I did a couple of the FB surveys last month and they weren't on my invoice this month. I didn't take screen shots or anything and I just can't be arsed to chase them for about £2. Im not going to do them anymore, not worth the hassle

@MrsWombat oooh you must try it out on the touchscreen and see if it works.... I'm still trying to decide which one to get.
My laptop is still going for now but I know time we parted company 🙁

Reading all the comments here though is putting me off. I’m not sure I want to commit to it if I’m not going to be paid properly. Should I give it a miss?

Hi, newbie here! I’m fascinated by what you are all doing. I stumbled on this thread because I’m looking for ways to boost my savings this year. I work 3 days a week so have a bit of extra time to top up my income. I don’t totally understand what your all doing though. I’ve clicked on a couple of the links. Didn’t really understand the crisp one but the test one looked ok. Is there anything I need to know? Could some kind person suggest a starting place for me?

Newbie here - I managed about £50 on mostly Ebay and Surveys. A couple of $ on Clickworker - BUT, as an intelligent person, I am bewildered as to why I can't seem to either qualify for anything or get banned so quickly - on UHRS. Any tips anyone - or is it that I am not thinking like a computer? I can't understand how anyone can do well on here! ....losing the will to live!!

@mrsrobin, I hate UHRS, none of it makes sense! So you're not alone. @mischiefmaker, I like Intellizoom so that's where I'd start. Do apply for Appen Connect and Crisp but be aware they can take a while before you start work (a year between passing the Crisp test and starting work for me!) Good luck

ruralwandere, how often do you get studies on Intellizoom. Do they all require webcam/audio work?

As well as Intellizoom try UserTesting. It’s the same thing & lots of work there.

@Anotherone4, not as often as I'd like unfortunately. I used to make about $50 a month on there but lately I keep getting screened out (screened out of 3 this morning along), even though I'm still getting plenty of invitations. The Think Out Loud studies pay $8 and require audio but the Card Sort ones that pay $5 don't.

@WizardOfAus, do you get much from userertesting, ive joined a while backbut never had anything from them.

Hi all, Appen newbie here.
O would appreciate some help.
When you finisha project/ task that is a one off thibga nd not an ongoing one, does it get into a seperate folder for completed projects? I did the hand gesture video one last week, when i submitted the videos in the app it told me it will be assesed for quality but then nothing happened since. While i was doing the videos i got an email , which i only read after submitting the videos, that said the project is full and not needing any more submissions. However ihe project is still listed now..
So where do i see my completed projects lists?
And how do i get paid for the tasks that have a pay rate set ( i assume invoice is only for ongoing work)?
