Bit confused - crisp said I am on their waiting list, but that I got 18/20 on the test and that I needed 19 or more to get on the waiting list. Does that mean I am on or not???

If you don't get 19 then you won't be put on the list. The messages are a bit confusing.

I assume you completed all the training and then took the live test?

With me a year ago it was a couple of hours. You really need to contact them. No one on here has posted that they failed, so sure it’s ok.

@singsingbluesilver I just got onto it. I did the test on the 20th, emailed to say I'd done it and got a reply the next day saying I had passed. Did you email them to say you had completed the competency test?

Sorry @singsingbluesilver That message wasn't for you! It was nearly 2 years after passing the 19/20 test before I was accepted to work with them!

Thank you! You've given me the push to check in, I didn't want to look like a pest given it's the first working day after Christmas for many people!

I did, emailed as soon as I'd completed it! Will wait and see what they say to my follow up email and keep everything crossed. I've been having kittens periodically since I did it!

@WizardOfAus I think I signed up to Appen in mid-Jan last year, got some work on my first short-term project in mid-March, and was lucky to get onto long-term project (N*) at end of March. Other projects I applied for, the wait to be accepted and then actually start was much longer. It doesn't help that they tend to send out lots of "Congratulations!" emails well before actually letting you start work on something!

@Baby89 I didn't email them after passing the initial test. I'd forgotten about them when they contacted me nearly 2 years later. I guess what I'm trying to suggest is not to wait for them, explore other avenues!

I got 20/20 on the test and have been waiting since October 2019 for them to contact me. You'd be best looking at other avenues and taking it as a "if it pops up it'll be a nice surprise" instead of actively waiting

Excited to get this going again in 2021! Has anyone tried usertesting? I have started this month and the first few days i was sent loads of test, but for yesterday and today i have been sent nothing!

Is Appen down for anyone else?

Argh I submitted my Appen invoice as all the amounts for Amr were correct but then realised after that no hours were listed and it mentions something about hours in the guidance. Is this a massive error? I’ve messaged them but they are rarely quick at responding!
