@Gatekeeper - not sure if you have had a reply yet but I suggest that you take screen shot of pdf or the credit card bill and redact the personal info from it. That should be acceptable. Bad that they sent no conformations etc,

I have been letting my USD and EUR payments build up in Payoneer and Paypal over the last few months due to the poor exchange rates. Am really not sure whether to withdraw them or not, is anyone else in the same boat?

Yes I have been doing the same. Not sure the exchange rates are likely to change much but knowing my luck if I convert my payment the exchange rate will drastically improve the next day!

I think I am going to set a date (maybe mid February) and just convert all my dollars and euros

aceofspace · 15/01/2021 15:07

@lynsey91 Thanks! It's difficult knowing what to do isn't it?

YonderTweek · 15/01/2021 15:27

I let mine build up in my PayPal account for ages but in the end I felt that it wasn't as safe as a bank account so I do transfer back about once a month. I also got an email awhile ago saying someone had tried to log into my PayPal which freaked me out. Confused Not sure if Payoneer is more robust? I think being hacked is probably unlikely but I'm always super careful. Ha.

whysotriggered · 15/01/2021 15:35

Has everyone got potato statements? I still haven't got anything. It's my first month and I think I did manage to get over the minimum. I'm assuming they come via email?

whysotriggered · 15/01/2021 15:37

I also have dollars sitting in Payoneer. For me, it's been a mistake as the exchange just keeps going down. I wish I'd just taken it out in the first place yet I'm still sitting on them in hope!

bookgirl1982 · 15/01/2021 15:47

@whysotriggered I've not had one, but started mid month and didn't do a full quota so wondered if it would be rolled forward.

whysotriggered · 15/01/2021 15:55

@bookgirl1982 me too. I think it has to be connected but nothing on the wiki to suggest that, only a minimum payout. I will send an email later this evening if not heard by the end of the day nevertheless.

minnimiss · 15/01/2021 15:58

@Wolfff no not on that one but it is Malta. I had that email too but no sign of it finishing as yet.

Catawaul · 15/01/2021 16:19

I've had my first potato statement. Are there any pros and cons in requesting payment by PayPal or bank transfer?

bookgirl1982 · 15/01/2021 16:19

Spoke too soon, have had a statement now!

Rad2016 · 15/01/2021 16:41

I actually thought I was the only only one keeping money in payoneer hoping for better rates. Its been a few months and nothing exciting so I think i'll just suck it up. Not having a good day as tested positive for covid and I am feeling shite.

Notsomenumpty · 15/01/2021 16:45

So I got paid by ap less the hours that they wouldn't accept I did as I didn't have proof. They have now removed me from the project so my chance of ever getting the money back is zero!

whysotriggered · 15/01/2021 17:33

@bookgirl1982 me too!

whysotriggered · 15/01/2021 17:36

@Notsomenumpty That's awful.

@Rad2016 I think I will give it to after the inauguration and then also just suck it up! Hope you feel better soon.

Gatekeeper · 15/01/2021 18:31

thanks for everyone's advice re A**r rogue purchase. I've checked my spam and there is nothing..I didn't get an an acknowledgment of my purchase after it went through so not much I can do as it won't show
up on dh's credit card statement yet. Never mind...it was only a couple of quid

Gatekeeper · 15/01/2021 18:31

@Notsomenumpty ...blimey , that's terrible. Did they say why???

LimeJellyforBrains · 15/01/2021 19:27

What are Malta projects like? I had an email about one (project name is an insect, like Cricket). They were talking it up so much, I thought it must be awful Grin. They said it's a Malta one, and "fast-paced", which also put me off a bit as that means "stressful" to me.

LimeJellyforBrains · 15/01/2021 19:28

@Rad2016 Sad so sorry, hope you don't have it too bad and it doesn't last too long Flowers

ZetaPuppis · 15/01/2021 19:40

Get well soon @Rad2016. I had it in December so sympathies. I read that high doses of vitamin c and d help so dh and I did that. It might have helped us get through it. Good luck.

I’m just getting back into work. I’ve been off everything for 6 weeks and it’s really hard getting back in.

Gatekeeper · 15/01/2021 20:51

Oh no Rad Shock ...get well soon

YonderTweek · 15/01/2021 21:33

Get well soon @Rad2016 Brew

Rad2016 · 15/01/2021 22:09

Thanks guys. I am hoping the worse has happened already as I've had some really difficulty breathing for past few days. Difficult when you have a one Yr old and 4 Yr old to look after. I have just ordered some vitamins d and c so looking forward to those. Hubby and I are positive but we didn't test the kids. They seem fine but we keeping close eye. I just do not have energy for anything, just my reimbursement to do

bettyshotspot · 15/01/2021 22:25
