I’ve just heard one of my friends got a “60%” payrise. she’s in a industry that has grown rapidly during the pandemic (online retail)

I had a £500 increase. An increase of 2% which tbh I was incredibly grateful for. I’m just glad I have a job! (Catering company)

If anyone else fancies sharing, please feel free and your thoughts about it

Nothing - I work for a charity and it was clearly explained that no one would get a rise (CEO took a pay cut). I fully understand and support the reasons, a number of my colleagues lost their job due to Covid. Sad.

WhatKatyDidNxt · 13/12/2020 19:38

2% which is more that what l expected to be honest. We have been very busy, no furlough or redundancies here

Bluegrass · 13/12/2020 19:39

I lost 25%, thanks.

Notchangednametoday · 13/12/2020 19:39

Work for a large nationwide company no pay-rise (was due in April) in fact we are having a pay cut. No bonus :( I reckon no pay-rise again next year.

oneglassandpuzzled · 13/12/2020 19:39

Minus 30%

Our pay is agreed nationally and the HE pay increase was halted this year due to Covid. We got 4 days extra holiday in lieu. I’m fine with that given the circumstances

MissMarks · 13/12/2020 19:40

4% in one job (but none previous couple of years) and a £250 one off payment in the other instead of a pay rise.

CremeEggThief · 13/12/2020 19:43

Nothing in a minimum wage job. I'm grateful to be in work right now.

Spacerader · 13/12/2020 19:45

Dp got a 15% pay rise, I got about an extra 2%.

Madbengalmum · 13/12/2020 19:47

Nothing, making a loss of ££££’s.
What is a pay rise!!!!

blue25 · 13/12/2020 19:50

10%

Ladybird345 · 13/12/2020 19:51

Work in a key worker industry and no pay rise.

floofycroissant · 13/12/2020 19:52

0% and looming redundancy

lookdeepintotheparka · 13/12/2020 19:52

Same as a PP I work in HE and we didn't get any cost of living rise this year.

We'te getting 3 extra days at Christmas but feel a bit sore about it after working many extra unpaid hours during a tough year (albeit grateful to still have a job)

GaryTheDemon · 13/12/2020 19:53

1.5% this year, 1% last year. And we don’t get increments or spine points (unlike teachers and others who get both).

I recently got promoted but previous to that there’s been a pay freeze meaning in real terms by the time I got promoted I was effectively being paid 14% less than when I got the job.

It’s a good job and I feel passionately about it but the pay situation is not great.

Zampa · 13/12/2020 19:53

I've not had a pay rise since 2014. Before the pandemic I was looking for other jobs but don't think I'll be moving for a while given the current economic climate ...

RosesAndHellebores · 13/12/2020 19:53

12.5% pay cut and have worked harder than ever before.

GaryTheDemon · 13/12/2020 19:55

Also no bonuses (so no extra pay that isn’t technically a pay rise but means you take more home)

FatGirlShrinking · 13/12/2020 19:55

Private sector and no pay rise.

In fact March - august we all had to accept a 20% pay reduction, which was reduced to a 10% pay reduction to September, then put back to full pay from October. So I've lost out on about £3000 this year.

HappyPumpkin81 · 13/12/2020 19:58

0% work for a private health company that has been raking it in due to the pandemic. They've possibly spent all the money on rapid expansion. There's rumours that they are working on something in the background. To be honest I am not bothered at the moment as I am comfortable, I will be worried if there is a no deal brexit and food costs rocket though.

chipsandgin · 13/12/2020 20:00

7% and within the company it varied from nothing (for recent employees) to 15% for some management employees...still on shit pay though!

Conniethesensible · 13/12/2020 20:04

@RosesAndHellebores

12.5% pay cut and have worked harder than ever before.
I’m so sorry to hear that :(

That’s insane!! Can I ask if it’s a public sector job?

Sounds like you want to get out of there either way, I’m hopeful things will be at some sort of normality job wise by the late spring

Minus two thirds. I'm self employed.

BlairCorneliaWaldorf · 13/12/2020 20:07

25% total pay cut. 20% base pay cut and no bonus for at least two years for OH (c.50% total pay cut).
