I’ve just heard one of my friends got a “60%” payrise. she’s in a industry that has grown rapidly during the pandemic (online retail)

I had a £500 increase. An increase of 2% which tbh I was incredibly grateful for. I’m just glad I have a job! (Catering company)

22% over a 20 month period from October 2020 to fall in line with the nhs pay scale. I work in private sector. (Not every private sector gets paid loads.)

DivisionBelles · 13/12/2020 21:00

4.5% which was completely unexpected but my boss wanted to reward us for hard work in troubled times over the last nine months. I'm incredibly grateful although since March work has been very stressful and far from fun.

GintyMcGinty · 13/12/2020 21:02

0%

50% of my colleagues have been made redundant.

I work for a charity and we've been financially crushed by the pandemic.

TheVeryHungryTortoise · 13/12/2020 21:04

I work at a GP practice as admin. I was on £12 an hour and have had a 20p/hour pay rise. Woo!

policeandthieves · 13/12/2020 21:07

NHS 2.8 % apparently

Itsabloodyeuphonium · 13/12/2020 21:08

Confused by those who have responded saying they are NHS or NMW and not had a payrise? NMW increased by 6% and A4C/consultants got a pay rise (but don’t know about JD or VSM - but if your VSM I wouldn’t expect you to get a pay rise).

Itsabloodyeuphonium · 13/12/2020 21:10

I’m NHS and got 3.2%

amber763 · 13/12/2020 21:17

a cut of 20% but am grateful to still have a job

lljkk · 13/12/2020 21:18

My income went down each of last 3 or 4 years, mostly due to reduced hours (eg., couldn't get more than 3 days/week work in 2020).

Parky04 · 13/12/2020 21:20

100% loss as made redundant.

Wonkydonkey44 · 13/12/2020 21:20

Key worker , no pay rise , no bonus . Feel very f*cked over.

BunnyBoilerRhian · 13/12/2020 21:28

Lost my job then lost my new job.
Struggling to find a job that isn't on a 3 month contract to even apply for.

Literallynoidea · 13/12/2020 21:38

No pay rise and DH had a pay cut

shallbe · 13/12/2020 21:41

Public sector body, still waiting to hear, will be a minimum of 2.5%, hopefully a bit more, but will be the last one for a while by the sounds of it!

RadGlags · 13/12/2020 21:42

DH has been working with a 10% pay cut since March but got told last week that everyone is going back to full pay from Jan.
So 0%, but it’s 10% more than we lived with the last few months and seems to solidify his job security so we are Grin

GreekOddess · 13/12/2020 21:43
  1. Pay freeze due to the pandemic.
SaltyAF · 13/12/2020 21:44

This is such a crass thread. Why on earth did you see fit to post it?

gottakeeponmovin · 13/12/2020 21:44

We had to take. Ten percent cut

letsdolunch321 · 13/12/2020 21:45

Zero %, been made redundant and people in my area applying for jobs is excessive.

zigzagbetty · 13/12/2020 21:46

Civil servant, 2%, surprised to get that!

Sexnotgender · 13/12/2020 21:49

10% for which I’m very grateful.

Okbutnotgreat · 13/12/2020 21:54

50% cut in our household income and unlikely to recover for several years if ever. This has been a miserable year and money being so bloody tight has really not helped.

RaininSummer · 13/12/2020 21:55

Nothing for the past 5 years

dalrympy · 13/12/2020 21:57

-25%
No Christmas bonus but at least I do have a job and I can pay the mortgage

PinkSpring · 13/12/2020 22:02

2.5% this year.

Usually is anything between 2% and 15% each year
