Potato invoices have arrived!!

lilmishap · 09/12/2020 10:00

Crisp statement just arrived.

MrsWombat · 09/12/2020 10:05

Yes! Crisp has arrived! A little bit more than expected too. Grin

whysotriggered · 09/12/2020 11:13

@minnimiss it's infuriating when that happens. My last ad was a designer men's clothing store but only had about $50 left and I couldn't afford a single thing on that site!

I am still unsure whether this project is worth the time in terms of money especially if what you get is difficult to return or complete rubbish but I do have to say I enjoy the buzz of it!

Rad2016 · 09/12/2020 11:21

Thanks guys, just finished my A**r purchase and nothing really exciting in the purchases. Only thing that made sense was a little mix CD which I am not really a fan. I like them but wouldn't go buying their cd.

seizethecuttlefish · 09/12/2020 12:08

Happy potato statement day!

Am was ok this month. Last month I had loads that just didn't work. No where near 500 spent but happy. I really enjoy it once, the panic about doing it right wears off. Only the second time I've done it so that might wear off. I had 2 that repeated and I skipped them and one didn't work but all the rest were fine.

I really need a regular Ap project but not getting anywhere with the quizzes to pass the recent ones.

Rad2016 · 09/12/2020 12:21

@ seizethecuttlefish I had that feeling too about Am this month. Wasn't as crazy for me as last month. I got my job Id before anything. Right now this is the only Appen project that makes sense. My Bn and Wr still not back. Those were regulars for me and I miss them. Fingers crossed they come back

TheSilentStars · 09/12/2020 13:23

I'm just feeling a bit sullied by it tbh, which I know is silly, and ungrateful. But I'm buying a truckload of utter shit Chinese rubbish. I almost feel like cutting my losses and just abandoning it. So far I have a top that was the cheapest thing on the site that Julia Roberts would have loved for Pretty Woman, an inspirational quote man's bangle, cowboy boots and a bra to go with Julia's top. Confused

YonderTweek · 09/12/2020 13:24

I got logs! Grin

anxiouswaiting · 09/12/2020 13:40

I have the Am** again this month. Does anyone know, if my ad is for the app for a clothes shop am I meant to skip it or download the app and make a purchase?

ZetaPuppis · 09/12/2020 13:49

Is anyone doing Neevo dialogue collection?

MoreMoneyPlease · 09/12/2020 13:59

@ZetaPuppis I've just logged on. I haven't done this for ages - can you remember if we log our own hours as an agent??

YonderTweek · 09/12/2020 14:10

Think you need to download the app.
Catatemyhomework · 09/12/2020 15:29

@ZetaPuppis, I've been a customer so far on this round, silent environment. Hope we get to do noisy as well.
@MoreMoneyPlease, yes log own hours as agent. Think it's max of 15 now.

seizethecuttlefish · 09/12/2020 15:30

@anxiouswaiting my first one was a download the app thing and I couldn't see anything on the guidelines so I downloaded it and took a screenshot of the item and put no url as it's an app in the url bit. Hope that's ok as there was no guidelines about it.

Catawaul · 09/12/2020 16:24

I passed the crisp assessment! So surprised, I thought I must have got lots wrong as I wasn't sure how to classify innocuous things which included a name. Is that no risk?
I'm going to have to figure out how to report this income to tax credits, it will be a guess I suppose.

TheLolaMontez · 09/12/2020 16:37

I'm just trying to do my reimbursement for Am'r but it won't recognise my ID - it says it's not valid even though I'm taking it straight from App'n. How annoying. I've raised a ticket. Hope they get back to me soon. Twiddling thumbs in mean time.

YonderTweek · 09/12/2020 16:49

This seems to be a known issue. There's an announcement on the projects main page that says it'll get sorted (unless it's already been sorted). Hope it works for you soon.

I've seen lots of conversations about the currency conversion today and I have decided to do what the ADAP tool tells me to do and just not convert the dollars into pounds. I think the worst thing that could happen is that I'll have to submit the receipt again with the currency converted.

Haha, I've had some funny purchases. I think the next one will be my last as I'm running out of money. I was offered a 99 quid beer advent calendar and I thought FFS, but luckily it was out of stock. This task really is like a box of chocolates. Xmas Grin

TheLolaMontez · 09/12/2020 16:55

Ah thanks Yonder - I hadn't checked there, I'm a bit of a newbie on this task and I flap if something goes a bit wrong 🤣 I'll try again later, I've got other things I can be getting on with thankfully

whysotriggered · 09/12/2020 17:32

@YonderTweek I have not converted any currency. I didn't last month and I didn't this month! The only time I did any converting was to keep an eye on my running total to make sure I didn't overspend. Last month it was all accepted so I am assuming the same will happen this round.

@TheLolaMontez yes it seems a lot of folks are having the same issue.

@Catawaul congrats, I passed too and was surprised as well. Just got all the logins and I am a little scared!

With regards to potato, I've been reading about invoicing. So we create our own invoice and send it to them based on a statement they send us? The first month will be interesting!

TheSilentStars · 09/12/2020 17:58

Yes, it's great, because Potato just tell you what you've earned.
I made a whopping £31 last month, but as I said, I was crap.
Of course I have some prostitute underwear on its way from Hong Kong so that will make up for it!

YonderTweek · 09/12/2020 18:01

Ahh that's good to know @whysotriggered. It may well be that they know that their guidelines are a bit random so they're lenient with these things. Grin

@TheLolaMontez I was the same last month! I flapped and flapped but I'm generally a flapper so it's not really very unusual for me. Grin This thread has been great though as everyone is so helpful.

RaininSummer · 09/12/2020 19:03

Hi all been lurking, learning and reading. Have been on Amu* this month for the first time. This is what I purchased: perfume (cheap so prob nasty), child's magnetic construction set, fighlighters (?), mens gloves, woman's thermal top, crappy goth t-shirt, laser disco light machine, earbuds, weaving loom (actually wanted that), hairbrush set, nasty top and the most expensive item a pair of nice gym legging which are coming from Australia and I had to pay customs today. They must be the most expensive leggings in the world. Spent about £250 I think.

I hope I get to do it again as the process will be quicker and easier next time.

Ithinkim · 09/12/2020 19:28

Has anyone on Am@& ever redone the reimbursements? I think I've got some wrong with the currency and want to redo them.

Gatekeeper · 09/12/2020 19:36

help!!! I am just making my way through Am** and have got an advert for a fast food company that delivers food but not in my area...can I skip this? arghhh
