Welcome @Baby89.

Appen is very much as and when. Apply for everything and don't be put off by the min hours. I think at one stage we've all had loads in progress. Sometimes they come to nothing but you've got to be in it to win it. As they say.

I never get anything on prolific Hmmbut some people do well.

Istonesoft used to be great but been really quiet lately. And I used to love Neevo but I'm one of the people who weren't paid for work so I won't work for them.

Clickworker is good at times but you need to accept the job and get it done. They move off really fast.

Can't remember if you'd said but intellizoom is usually a steady 20-30 a month for me. It all adds up.

Enjoy

Baby89 · 03/07/2020 10:18

Thank you seizethecuttlefish I’m with intelizoom as well but no jobs yet , I’m confused with that one as I’ve registered and applied for the jobs and can’t see what happens next.

tootyfruitypickle · 03/07/2020 10:50

I didn’t have anything for a while on appen and then managed to earn £400 one month! It’s been quiet since then for me but there is a lot of potential there !

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 03/07/2020 10:53

I managed to earn £600 on Neevo in June. Finding C*r dead at the moment though. Hardly anything for weeks.

Azerothi · 03/07/2020 11:10

@NewModelArmyMayhem18
C will get better as the new recruits drop off. It's always like this after they recruit. But, loads leave. It's hard work on there right now though.

WildSkitty · 03/07/2020 11:38

@NewModelArmyMayhem18 wow £600 with Neevo is amazing! What projects were you on? I've not had much from Neevo recently.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 03/07/2020 11:57

I did absolutely loads of the audio-transcripts and some more interesting ones (worse paid but much much easier and quicker to do). There were lots on offer last month but May was pretty barren from what I recall.

TheLolaMontez · 03/07/2020 12:16

@justtheonethen is that the one beginning with H? I've got logins for all sorts, I'm still a bit lost as to what is what

Baby89 · 03/07/2020 12:25

Can I just ask why the full names Appen projects not being named , H ,B etc just curious thanks

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 03/07/2020 12:29

@Baby89 I think it's to retain client confidentiality as they don't like things being talked about in the real world!

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 03/07/2020 12:30

Appen that is - which is why those posters working on projects try to be vague about identifying specific projects!

PinkMonkeyBird · 03/07/2020 12:39

Placemarking. New to this and reading up on more information!

Baby89 · 03/07/2020 12:46

Makes sense , thanks for letting me know, I’ll avoid mentioning the names if I ever get an assignment from them.
PerthLondonGirl · 03/07/2020 13:03

Hiya!
Was hoping for a bit more clarification on when to pay tax. So I do understand that the first £1,000 you earn is tax free and you pay tax after that. I am currently working full time so already make over £1,000. Would this mean that anything I earn from these online portals I would have to pay tax on, or are they classed as a separate types of income?
Also this question is a bit more tricky - My Paypal account is set up and registered to my address in Australia (I am living in the UK, but from Aus and will be moving back by early next year). As it is registered in Aus, would anything I get paid into it be classed as UK earnings or Aussie earnings, in turning changing where I am liable to pay tax for?
Thanks!

You will have to fill in a self-assessment form for the extra you earn @PerthLondonGirl.

Not sure about the PayPal question at all.

MrsWombat · 03/07/2020 14:16

Urgh just spent 4 hours doing a test case on uTest that was meant to take 30 mins but I was expecting it to take 1 hour but there was problems galour. Confused I think I still made more money that I would have done with Potato during that time though. Grin Every cloud!

The H one is where you book shifts.!

MrsWombat · 03/07/2020 14:46

This is useful for why we can't use project names. (I need to do this myself Blush) There is also some helpful info on what you can put on your CV.

@justtheonethen oh! Haha I have no clue what I'm doing... I'll pm you now

Baby89 · 03/07/2020 15:00

I have ‘view task’ on two Appen projects both starting with a ‘B’ only when I click on it one says I’ve passed - didn’t do any tasks etc the other is server not working. I’ve emailed them about one is there any other way to contact them or do I just wait till they respond also what happens when tasks are completed- newbie here so sorry for all the questions I did search for the answers but couldn’t find them. Smile

curdsandwhey · 03/07/2020 15:26

On 20Cogs, has anyone tried the offers with either Hayu or Chili (films)? I was interested as they look like easy ones, but they seem to have really bad reviews. I'm especially concerned about Hayu as there's a whole load of reviews from people saying they couldn't unsubscribe and it kept charging them. Any experiences please?

RyanBergarasTeeth · 03/07/2020 15:32

Hi all joining in. Took me about 3 months to earn £49 on prolific but a lot of it was laptop based so i missed out. But i want to try rev has anyone else tried it? And has anyone earned over £1000 and registered self employed?

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 03/07/2020 15:40

I failed the Rev test when I last did it Blush. Haven't tried again though.
