@MoreMoneyPlease we could collaborate to go on when it's quiet and we could just rattle through them

seizethecuttlefish · 24/07/2020 14:48

@Riddlediddle welcome. If you go to the start of the thread there are loads of links to click on and join. Appen is online project work. Mostly adhoc but usually a decent rate of pay. You sign up, apply for stuff and hopefully get something. Crisp is social media moderation, there's a few people on it but you can wait months to get started. Lionbridge is similar, I think.

There's Clickworkers where you get bits and pieces and loads of people work on Neevo. Dive in and ask away, we're all pretty friendly.

Good luck.

Riddlediddle · 24/07/2020 15:00

Thanks for the intro @seizethecuttlefish I'm.sure I'll be back with questions once I've had a look through Smile

MoreMoneyPlease · 24/07/2020 15:53

@Horehound sounds good! I'll be back on about 6pm. Think I'll be Marilyn tonight...Grin

Riddlediddle · 24/07/2020 16:33

Sorry ladies I don't know if I'm being really stupid but I've just tried to sign up to Appen and Lionbridge and I'm getting nowhere with it. There are no jobs on Appen and it just keeps logging me out and on Lionsbridge I have no idea how I even register Blush

whysotriggered · 24/07/2020 17:47

@Riddlediddle

try this link for appen connect.appen.com/qrp/public/home

with the lionbridge one I think you have to apply for individual jobs rather than register. So click join our team and pick the working from home link.

shazza292022 · 24/07/2020 18:51

Hi I am in the process of signing up for Appen but I'm feeling apprenhensive, I guess it's normal for them to request your CV? Thanks Ladies

Wolfff · 24/07/2020 18:59

Appen is perfectly legit. A basic cv is fine. If you have done any jobs that indicate an interest in social media, internet, language or
Linguistics etc that might help but not sure they even look at it.

Riddlediddle · 24/07/2020 19:47

I've finally got onto Appen. It asked me personal details and then about 2 questions on my education and employment and that was it. There are no jobs appearing on the list so do I just wait for jobs to appear?

Wolfff · 24/07/2020 19:50

Are you on Appen connect - not Appen Global which is defunct. Unless it has changed recently, you unload a cv then wait to do a test job. After that you can apply for other jobs. They normally sent you emails at each step - check your spam.

Baby89 · 24/07/2020 21:40

Hi everyone , I got an email from Lionbridge- need to fill in a form , I’ve done what it asks but the form is not sent - do I need to add my cv also what experience if any does one have or Lionbridge. Is it worth working for them.

ERW22 · 25/07/2020 01:35

Here’s a curve card code for anyone that would consider joining
DGPVLBGD It’s a card that includes all your cards together on one handy card plus you get a free fiver

Tinging · 25/07/2020 07:48

@Baby89 I work for Lionbridge doing mapping,it's definitely worthwhile for me. Always work available and above minimum wage. Though I think that may depend on what type of work you do on there. I can't remember if I sent my CV as it was January when I applied, I would think I probably did at some point.

Baby89 · 25/07/2020 08:47

@Tinging, thank you for replying. I can’t seem to get past the application form I filled in what I can and it’s not going forward. I had applied about a month ago and yesterday got email to join as mapping.

WonderTweek · 25/07/2020 08:56

I didn't have much luck with Lionbridge. I applied for the mapping one but was a bit too honest about my availability (as in I think I said I wouldn't be able to do 20 hours a week) and they rejected my application. I wonder if I could try again because it did sound quite interesting. I applied for another job and was told to join an online group for people doing this sort of task, which I did but I'm not sure what to do now. Blush I keep looking at their jobs thinking I should probably try again.

Has anyone heard from Intellizoom recently? I did my practice test about a month ago and haven't heard anything yet. They must be ever so busy at the moment!

Tinging · 25/07/2020 09:11

@WonderTweek mapping is minimum 10 hours a week maximum 20 (occasionally they offer 30 hours a week when busy) I only ever do around the minimum so not being able to do 20 shouldn't be an issue.

@Baby89 have you been sent the guidance and exam information or is it just an invitation to apply?

Baby89 · 25/07/2020 09:34

@Tinging it’s an application form where you submit education and work experience etc - so confused as I’ve filled what I can and all boxes seem tik but it don’t go forward

zosie24 · 25/07/2020 09:46

Nice easy job on neevo this morning, much better than those annoying healthcare and motor ones!!! Just recording yourself through their app saying one or 2 words (hey Siri!) For 0.7 dollars. Easy to fly through if you can find somewhere quiet.Grin

zosie24 · 25/07/2020 09:52

Wait, 0.07, that would have been very very good!!!

ruralwanderer · 25/07/2020 09:53

Intellizoom are still sending me plenty, I had two $8 ones last night 😁 if you've just joined it can take a while to get going but once you do they are great.

Tinging · 25/07/2020 09:54

@Baby89 oh I've no idea how to help with that I'm afraid! Maybe drop them an email as they are very helpful, you might not get a reply till Monday though.

CrepuscularCritter · 25/07/2020 09:59

Horehound I also mark clients going to voicemail as Tech, with a note to the effect "rang 7 times then proceeded to Vodafone voicemail".

I had a confusing message from N yesterday offering 10 hours work. But I have already done 8/8 available hours so I have queried it. I enjoy it, but don't really want to find myself clocking up hours I won't be paid for.
