@ohmygiddiest I have just been paid for the car thing too. How on earth could you not meet standards on a survey?! That's ridiculous!

WildSkitty · 17/07/2020 14:45

On that car neevo task - the last few questions were duplicates of ones earlier in the questions. Maybe you answered them differently?

HolyShmoly · 17/07/2020 15:06

I've enabled a notification on my browser for any time a new survey is available on prolific but I find I still have to open and close the tab every couple of hours. Make sure your profile is still 100% complete. I thought mines was but then realised there were whole sections I must have skipped when first setting it up.

I'm getting nowhere near £37 a day though! I'm buzzing with my £25 a month!

ohmygiddiest · 17/07/2020 15:17

@WildSkitty - can't say for sure, but I doubt it as I concentrated on the task. I recently worked as an agent on the calls and it was shocking how many people told me that they had problems with Neevo not paying them for previous tasks. Out of 20 calls, I would say 15 people brought it up. An absolute disgrace!
I'm not sure how much time and energy I want to devote to chase up this small payment though.

tossacoin1 · 17/07/2020 15:32

I have 9 active process's on Appen which I did most about a week ago. How long does it take to get work through Appen once you've registered you want to do it

margaritasbythesea · 17/07/2020 15:36

Gatcha - DH does his free language exchange via italki. He says there is a filter you can click called 'no money involved'.

I'll shut up about Spanish now.

GachaBread · 17/07/2020 15:55

Thank you! Will let you know how I get on @margaritasbythesea soon ❤️

WildSkitty · 17/07/2020 16:28

@tossacoin1 it is really very variable. Sometimes it takes months to get on a project.

lynsey91 · 17/07/2020 17:12

@tossacoin1 yes I keep the page open for Prolific and just keep looking at it (when a survey become available a (1) will appear.

I spend a lot (too much) time on my laptop as I am doing Neevo, Crisp, Prolific, Qmee and some other survey sites most days so its easy just to have all the different pages open

anxiouswaiting · 17/07/2020 17:34

Has anyone managed to get on am** on Appen? I have applied several times and it then drops off my in progress but today I have been asked to confirm my IG does that mean I might actually be in this time?

seizethecuttlefish · 17/07/2020 21:28

@anxiouswaiting I got the same email. Fingers crossed. I think I've applied for it a few times.

@tossacoin there are no set times. I had 14 or 15 active processes at one time. Fingers crossed for you.

Neevo survey story..the blurb at the beginning said "there are no right or wrong answers. We're just looking for your opinion." So I start rating and 5 tasks in, you did not meet quality standards. Hmm

In other news. Loving Potato surges at the mo. I'm shouting "show me the money" lol!

Buster27 · 17/07/2020 22:06

I got the am** email too.. but I don't have IG Sad I didn't realise it was needed for this project. I've set one up now, guessing it won't work for this time but might come in handy for a future project.

Horehound · 17/07/2020 23:20

If anyone is doing the Neevo healthcare check please note they changed the rules! I noticed it because I am also doing the automotive one and for that you can only say yes/yes or no/no whereas on the healthcare you could also do yes/no or no/yes too. But now the guidance changed to say only do yes/yes or no/no.
!!! I'd already done 250 !

On Neevo I did over 900 tasks on the healthcare one and it's not showing anywhere. It's not showing in available jobs or work history, has this happened to anyone else?

MrsWombat · 18/07/2020 08:08

I've just emailed Appen to ask why a transcription project is below UK minimum wage when it says on the blurb that they aim to pay above market rate minimum wage.

Horehound · 18/07/2020 08:14

Hmmm no @tossacoin1 I would send them a message!

WonderTweek · 18/07/2020 08:24

@horehound I'm glad you posted this because yesterday I thought I was going mad. I only noticed the rule change after having done 200 of them and kind of lost interest then as I thought I'd messed it up. I'll probably start again today because I want money. Grin

I've managed a couple of the UHRS jobs recently too. They're only low paid ones but I can see a couple of dollars coming my way. I still really want an Appen project though!

Bigbaddebt · 18/07/2020 08:40

I got the am** email from Appen too. HAs anyone done this project? Just wondering if the products are worth it? Is it set items you can purchase?

tossacoin1 · 18/07/2020 08:41

@Horehound is yours showing in available jobs or work history? I've messaged them but have to wait to Monday for a response.

tossacoin1 · 18/07/2020 08:45

@Horehound omg I just found it. I did 969 and it said work didn't meet quality standards. Does that mean I won't get paid for any of it?

seizethecuttlefish · 18/07/2020 09:09

@tossacoin1 you'll get some of it but unfortunately that's up to Neevo.

Horehound · 18/07/2020 09:17

Eek I think it does mean that :( so I'd complain.poor you.

Horehound · 18/07/2020 09:18

Not necessarily @seizethecuttlefish I did my first job of 51 on something and haven't been paid for it at all. Just says didn't meet quality standards

ruralwanderer · 18/07/2020 09:42

To all those experiencing Neevo's "Quality Issues" problem, I had a LOT of email communication with them over this and finally received this from them, "In order for us to maintain the high-quality standard of our information we integrate random tests in your tasks for quality purposes. You are allowed to continue working on a specific job as long as you answer correctly to a certain amount of these test tasks. You were blocked from the job once you reached that amount." In other words if they decide you're allowed to "fail" 10 tasks, you'll be blocked from the task once you fail 10 times - that may be the first 10 tasks, or over the course of 1000. It's very disingenuous and doesn't unfortunately mean that they will pay you for what you've done less 10.

As I and a lot of others have found, they will gladly with-hold all or majority payment due unless you fight incredibly hard to get more. I would recommend chasing like crazy and don't give up. I have stopped working for Neevo because of this issue as I refuse to work for free.
