@margaritasbythesea you mean with the Spanish my lovely?

I am still at it, i love learning the language and am determined to crack it. The hardest part is finding the time to concentrate with all the wfh stuff and then the 5 kids and everything else that life throws at you.

I did chuck some money at a online teacher through Skype but that didn't go to well so might resume that when I am more advanced.

Im finding I am picking it up more by watching Spanish films and their news channels. Also listen to Spanish Latino music on the nights when doing my cloudworkers shift which really helps too.

Why do they have to talk so bloody fast though?

WildSkitty · 16/07/2020 21:54

Might be a really stupid question. The appen t*is project - how does it know that the ratings that I do are from me? I don't remember giving my f b details?

Horehound · 16/07/2020 23:39

I see the call job on Neevo has completed. They paid me earlier in the day for 12 of these but I then did another 4. Will they still pay me for the latest ones I did?!

margaritasbythesea · 16/07/2020 23:54

I meant in general Gatcha but you have a good memoey. I have been totally lazy wutv Spanish, myself. Take this as a reminder to me ask DH about his language exchange site for you. Another thing I have just discovered us that TED Talks have a Spanish section. I find them really challenging as they are mostly South American accents. However, good for learning as you can listen with English or Spanish subtitles and read transcripts in both languages.

Both free = advantage Smile

GachaBread · 17/07/2020 00:14

@margaritasbythesea thanks for all the help hun. Hopefully I will be fluent but it takes effort.
Will look into that too what you mentioned.
Thank you for the EL PAÍS link too. I have the app downloaded and have a good go weekly going through articles and seeing what I can translate.
Every thing helps x

As for myself in general some days are good and some not so, lock down has tortured my soul at times and to be truthful I don't even know how I have made it this far without breaking. I wish their was more things for the kids to do as it has been tough on all five but somehow we manage. Can not wait for September for the kids to get back to a normal routine and for myself to just have that little bit of space and time with peace and quiet and just no noise so I can crack on with my earners and so on.

Hope you are well too and thanks for all the help too. Really appreciate it ❤️

Amen to Peace a Quiet Gatcha! I don't know anyone who isn't struggling. Put on top of that major life changes and it must be hard going. Flowers

Btw did I mention Tune In radio? You can listen to Radio Nacional España on it. And RTVE online has programmes subtitled in Spanish too.

MrsWombat · 17/07/2020 09:39

Congratulations @justtheonethen Flowers back to the potato fields for you now. Grin

If anyone gets an alarming email from 20 Cogs/Oh my dosh about your IP Address being shared, don't worry - they just want to check your ID, it's just badly worded and they end the same email to everyone eventually. Totally worth doing! Here are my links if anyone want to join:

tossacoin1 · 17/07/2020 13:31

How much are people tending to make on Neevo a month? Is it worth sticking at it for tasks only work 0.01 each?

ruralwanderer · 17/07/2020 13:35

@tossacoin1, Neevo would be worthwhile if only they paid you for all the work you actually did rather than withholding payment for unproven quality issues...

seizethecuttlefish · 17/07/2020 13:43

@tossacoin1 I wouldn't work for that as your hourly rate is bound to be low. Also, keep in mind, they don't pay you for work they consider not up to standard and you have no way of checking or disputing this. I was making good money from Neevo last year but the last few months they seem to have changed how they operate and a few of us have lost a fair bit of money from them.

Tinging · 17/07/2020 13:48

@tossacoin1 I find some of the neevo tasks are worthwhile and can earn around £10 per hour or more but others are abysmal. I tend to give each one a try for a few tasks and if the guidance is rubbish or pay is too low I just leave those tasks and wait for something better to come along. They don't seem to penalise you for cherry picking.

As mentioned by pp, some people have had issues with neevo not paying out on one particular task and I was one of those. As a result I tend to only do the odd hour here and there when other work is quiet.

ohmygiddiest · 17/07/2020 13:55

Did anyone get paid for the travelling in a car with a child survey? They are refusing to pay me for that!

MoreMoneyPlease · 17/07/2020 14:07

@ohmygiddiest I just received the payment for it today. Why are they refusing to pay?

ohmygiddiest · 17/07/2020 14:11

I failed quality checks apparently, not sure how that is even possible on multiple choice questions! And I was able to complete the entire survey, so they have got all my data and are refusing to pay for it.

tossacoin1 · 17/07/2020 14:19

Thanks for the replies, I may just hold out for the more money ones then. Is anyone having any success on prolific? I haven't had any surveys in last few days I have been on there

lynsey91 · 17/07/2020 14:27

I have earned £35 this week on Prolific. I had 3 surveys yesterday. One on Monday paid £7.

I have been ok with Neevo. Done quite a lot of work for them and been paid in full for all the jobs I have done

tossacoin1 · 17/07/2020 14:33

@lynsey91 that's really good on Prolific, that's what I was getting when I first joined but now I don't have anything, no idea why. Do you just keep it up on a screen and check it regularly?
