Quick question for those who are doing work or are on the waiting list for Rev. Does anyone know how long you have to wait for your account to be activated? I just got an email saying I passed the assessment and that I'm on a waiting list, but I just wanted to get a feel of how long I might be waiting for. It did mention that they are really busy at the moment, which doesn't surprise me! I really liked the assessment and wouldn't mind doing a bit of transcription work for them.

Yep @Horehound very frustrating. Going to give up and try again tomorrow. Plus hope its a glitches the recordings went through.

@unicornpoopoop that sounds so annoying. It’s not great really.
Do I need to do anything or is it just automated? I only started a couple of months ago so it’s only a few pounds but I just want to make sure it works.

@ZetaPuppis have you set your payment account up? You have to use your iban number rather than usual bank details as it's an international payment . The first payment takes longer but then it's usually 30 days after your invoice is submitted that the payment gets processed. Then 10 or so days after that you should receive it.

Have you heard anything from them to say you've had an invoice approved?

No idea what I'm doing wrong with mine though! At least when it finally comes through it will be a big payment but it is annoying as I was banking on having it this month!

@WonderTweek I work for Rev, it took about a day to be activated. This was about 6 months ago.

@unicornpoopoop yes I filled out an account details including Iban and I’ve had approved hours invoice but just wasn’t sure if I needed to action anything. Do I need to submit an invoice?
I’ve heard Nothing about any payments yet. Hopefully it’ll be fine. I’ll wait a few more days.

Omg yes! I've tried it twice now - left it for about 30 minutes the second time and it was still merrily spinning away so I've had to abandon ship! Gutted as I quite enjoyed the task too ...

Blooming annoying. I went into it a fourth or fifth time to report what was happening. So annoying. The skeptic in me thinks they will have received our data just fine somehow bit we won't get the moola!

I've been awol for the past 2 months, have I missed much?

Appen has been so quiet for me and when I go get a link all the work is gone by the time I can get to it on my project. Waiting for another to start - delays as usual!

Last month was good freelancing £1600 but it was exausting and quite complex work even though it was a good rate. Didn't leave me the mental space to do anything else. That has dried up again though so I need to get back to this thread!

I can't believe there's still W tasks! I've done an hour's worth, but the sprog doesn't take kindly to me being on my laptop for long.

@ZetaPuppis I don't have to submit the invoice. Just fill it in as I go and make sure it's saved. If you've only just started, you may not have hit the payment date yet as your first one takes a bit longer. It just means that when you do get paid it will be higher.

I've just spoke to the bank and they can't see any failed payments and I'm definitely using the correct Iban number so no idea what's gone wrong.

@Tohaveandtohold I have no option for PayPal! That would be easier. I wonder why that is. Maybe we're on different jobs? 🤷‍♀️

When do C Invoices happen? I'm sure it was 12th last month?

@unicornpoopoop I haven’t been filling out that spread sheet. Oops. I guess I could go back and fill it in retrospectively. I just made a quick note of my own and it always checked back to their task count.

I am still waiting to be added to the tool for S**a. I keep re-reading the guidelines to reassure myself that I do have to just wait in case I have missed something. Nervous!

Quick question about the LiveID necessary for lots of A*n tasks. Is there any reason why it can't be associated with your main email registered with them? For some reason I set it up with an obscure email account that I hardly use and I can't remember why. I have had to close that account now and changed the LiveID to my main one. Now I am worried that changing it will cause me problems. Any ideas?
