MLM Bot Watch 60: It takes a village to sink an island.

Continued chat exposing things such as the lies peddled and the bankruptcies hidden from view.

For those interested, the Lifetime channel is airing a documentary series called Cults & Extreme Belief. I have seen two episodes so far (FLDS, aired yesterday, and Twelve Tribes, aired last week). This coming Sunday is the first part of The Survivors Speak. So far it has been very interesting to see the similarities to MLM brainwashing. The way that active FLDS members still view Warren Jeffs as a prophet rather than a paedophile is remarkably similar to how Young Living customers view their late leader Gary Young.

In other news: I'm thinking about starting a tinfoil MLM as there seems to be a rather strong market amongst huns.

Avon taking some flak from worried reps as they have been the subject of a cyber attack for the second time this year.

watnochequeagain · 12/06/2020 17:25

It does appear funny that there was only one comment dropped into the thread about Uber's cheque - "your'e going to be disappointed" comment does look suss - parading previous cheques with the "full" date hidden - if you wanted social proof why hide details - very shady practices - and she would have got away with it if it wasn't for them pesky kids!

YouokHun · 12/06/2020 18:06

The whole point of the cheques was advertising. If you compare to what legitimate businesses spend on advertising / marketing the cheques and rally make sense.

As I’ve said before FL even with 50 million turnover in UK sounds impressive. I worked in a similar business with 1500 staff so many on part time minimum wage.

FL were claiming 20 000 plus business owners with similar revenue.

CodenameVillanelle · 12/06/2020 22:27

Yawn did a video today crowing about all the furloughed people she's 'helped' with her big cheque in the background.
It's quite an interesting experience listening to someone say so many lies with the appearance of total sincerity.

Whiterangey · 13/06/2020 03:34

Yawn has put on a substantial amount of weight. She can no longer hide it as its in her face. I imagine she is out of overweight and into obese.

I wish we could do a timeline with photos and when she has done C9's to show what the result of constant shitty bullshit magic weightloss bollocks is.

I think it would be good as a warning to others thinking some shitty milkshake which likely costs £1 to make, will be a magic weightloss potion.

Uber hasn't got a cheque. Downline bots would have slipped up by now and accidently mentioned it if it were true. She didn't get one. Im guessing she fucked up on her calculations and missed out on qualifying with the new business component.

FLP rely on those cheques to bring them in money. It's advertising. She did not get a cheque, it's Uber, she lies. Random poster came here and lied for her. Actually I don't think they did, I think it was likely her posting. She'd be unlikely to have someone in her downline post here, if that person leaves FLP they would have proof she asked them to post here. I believe it was Uber herself.

We should be honoured.

Whiterangey · 13/06/2020 03:42

It is also so frustrating not being able to call out bots on Facebook. I don't have a burner so if I called them out my only account would get blocked.

I likely would have gone off on Yawn already and got blocked if she allowed comments.

Norma27 · 13/06/2020 05:52

I totally agree with everything you have said @whiterangey

One thing I've noticed with yawn too is she doesn't seem to have done one bit of exercise during lockdown. She goes on about being a gym bunny too. I've joined up to Les Mills On Demand which means you can do body pump, attack, combat etc at home. It is really cheap, and most gyms have given free trials to members for about one month. I still don't believe she is a DL member anymore.

The way they have targeted the furloughed and those made or at risk of redundancy sicken me. My job offer was withdrawn and I was gutted. If someone targeted me I would go nuclear at them. She is a narcissistic, vile vulture.

Also don't believe Uber received a cheque. She is just trying to save face.

Wish I had a burner account too.

Sforsh49 · 13/06/2020 09:05

@Whiterangey reasoning on why Uber missed out on a cheque this year may also explain why she is frantically recruiting just now. With the wedding etc last year she took her eye off the ball, and maybe she's getting those recruits in early this year?

BangingOn · 13/06/2020 09:18

I’m probably being very naive here, but don’t FL give people progress updates throughout the year telling them how they are doing vs. targets for different incentives? Is it really left up to the individual to track their progress against complicated schemes?

It speaks volumes that the apparent ex-Bot didn’t post again or engage with any of the replies to her post. I like White’s theory that it was indeed Uber herself.

grumpytoddler1 · 13/06/2020 10:21

They will constantly know where they are relative to the targets because I think their online system tracks it for them.

It has just occurred to me that, long before Coronavirus cause the global rally to be cancelled, Uber made an excuse for not going to it. Something to do with her kids' exams wasn't it? She wasn't getting a bloody cheque and didn't want to be embarrassed, that's why she wasn't going!

YouokHun · 13/06/2020 10:22

Agree Whiterangey. It was the “I know you’re going to be disappointed” that points to someone not genuine being on the thread. It’s the assumption that criticism or scepticism about MLM is envy based; that’s a very Bot-like take on why this threads exist.

I can’t remember what Uber got last year and of course the photos dwindle after 2017 and cease after 2018 so I’m sure you’re right, there’s clearly nowt to show off about. It’s either no cheque or one so embarrassingly meagre that comparison is to be avoided lest it introduce doubts among the brain washed ranks.

BSintolerant · 13/06/2020 10:38

@Norma27 I’m so sorry to hear about your job offer being withdrawn. What an absolute bugger of a situation.

The likes of Yawn may be crowing about rescuing the furloughed and redundant at the moment but it won’t be long before the people she’s taken advantage of realise they’ve been conned and all hell will break loose.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if everyone who had lost money due to the dishonest nature of MLMs took, say, Forever Living to court and added the particular bot who’d sucked them in as a second defendant? Victims could go down the fraudulent misrepresentation route - there are probably other causes too. There must be a lawyer out there who could represent them on a pro-bono basis. Another way would be a class action - if enough disgruntled victims got together they could possibly find a lawyer willing to act on their their behalf under a Conditional Fee Agreement. I suspect that on the event of legal action the MLM company would settle out of court in an attempt to protect themselves.

Just a thought ...

Norma27 · 13/06/2020 10:48

Thank you @bsintoletant
I'm gutted but I expected it with the current situation. I've been told they will call me if any jobs come up in the future as they really wanted me. It's one of the big accountancy firms so we will wait and see. Not really holding out much hope tho.
At least I won't become an MLM victim!

Interesting video about Maca supplements from Yawn. (If you want to see video YouTube “Story Marketing Example: Forever Multi Maca Product”.

She describes the advert as “the best” “hilarious, but true” and recommendeds the product to those with low sex drive.

So in the video they don’t use words to claim that maca increases your sex drive. It’s all done through innuendo. Actually the same joke as in the Naked Gun films. I’ve looked up maca as a supplement and there’s no evidence that it improves sex drive or fertility. What are advertising rules about implying rather than stating? I know it can be a bit woolly which is why words describing say yoghurt like “nutritious” and “full of goodness” are meaningless. What about rockets launching?

(And don’t get me started on the 50s housewife stereotype).

GoldenKelpie · 13/06/2020 13:01

I suspect that the law is as woolly as a ten year old sheep who has never been shorn Grin. I look forward to the day that Yawn sees the light and comes out on the side of the anti-MLM people. She'll be dynamite.

CompleteBarstool · 13/06/2020 15:15

I wonder how much those Maca tablets are. A bag of ground maca from the local health food shop which lasts me about 3 months costs me £6.99

(it was recommended to me for perimenopausal symptoms like hot flushes, tiredness etc , can't say it's done anything for my sex drive though!)
