MLM Bot Watch 60: It takes a village to sink an island.

Continued chat exposing things such as the lies peddled and the bankruptcies hidden from view.

For those interested, the Lifetime channel is airing a documentary series called Cults & Extreme Belief. I have seen two episodes so far (FLDS, aired yesterday, and Twelve Tribes, aired last week). This coming Sunday is the first part of The Survivors Speak. So far it has been very interesting to see the similarities to MLM brainwashing. The way that active FLDS members still view Warren Jeffs as a prophet rather than a paedophile is remarkably similar to how Young Living customers view their late leader Gary Young.

In other news: I'm thinking about starting a tinfoil MLM as there seems to be a rather strong market amongst huns.

@BSintolerent - it’s a #0000-0000 receipt number.

From a castle LTD invoice. Seems strange

BSintolerant · 11/06/2020 10:59

Maybe she’s treated herself to a Pro-Planner - useful thing to have in 2020! Grin

Here’s a thread started by a Neals Yard consultant which won’t end well: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/work/3934866-Business-and-friends

My sister is being threatened with legal action (lol) for saying it is an MLM.

If I was your sister I would call her bluff. The hun will either go quiet eventually (most likely), or actually get legal advice.

The latter would be my hope and I'd pay good money to witness that meeting with a solicitor.

"Madam, do you earn money from recruits, be it through a bonus structure or through their sales?"
"Well, yes."
"Do your recruits earn money from their recruits in the same manner?"
"Of course, that's the beauty of this opportunity!"
"Does the person who recruited you earn money from you and your recruits, and does the person above them also earn money from all of you combined?"
"They do. They are doing so well, I can't wait to reach that level!"
"Madam, if you weren't flogging body butters that would be classed as a pyramid scheme. Given the existence of said body butters all I can say is congratulations. It's an MLM. That'll be £200. Cash or card?"

😂 That’s also a lawyer with very low fees!

acatcalledjohn · 11/06/2020 11:32

To be fair, the entire meeting would take about 5 mins so it's probably a fairly realistic price Grin

“That will be £200. Cash or card?”
“Cash please. Can I pay you as I earn over the next year or so? This opportunity gives me at least £12 a month after expenses, well most months. If you sign up I could pay you within 5 years Hun”.

Yawn is doing another c9. How many times per year does she need to reset herself?

CompleteBarstool · 11/06/2020 14:26

She's also got another hobby....learning Spanish (which will probably last as long as the learning BSL and running did).

Anything for interaction and engagement on posts and the opportunity for some new victims.

YouokHun · 11/06/2020 14:56

This isn’t a criticism but an observation. Yawn’s weight, despite regular C9s, is on an upward trend. She’s an example of what these quick fixes do to your mind and body. I guess Yawn is generally sold on the idea of the quick fix, dietary and bizniz wise. The C9 is a complete waste of time and considerable money. You, Yawn, are a right little estafadora!

CodenameVillanelle · 11/06/2020 15:11

It's dreadful. She was doing a C9 only a couple of months ago if that. £130 to starvation diet every 2 months is insane.

BSintolerant · 11/06/2020 15:12

Con artista!

Did anyone else start singing “Estafadora en garde!” to the tune of the Toreador’s march from Bizet’s Carmen? Grin

Could be a Freudian slip as Yawn is full of bullshit!

BlackBucketOfCheese · 11/06/2020 16:52

My sister just told who to go ahead and sue her Grin

DownThePan · 11/06/2020 16:53

The C9 is an expensive little habit for zero results!

Ginormarse · 11/06/2020 18:03

Hello all. I am a long time lurker but haven't posted before. Have been following this thread for a long time. I follow the exploits of the forever living bots and the ever dwindling bonus checks. Have you seen Ubers recent insta photo of her holding large cheque? Date of cheque is v cleverly cropped eg shows 201 then year at end cropped off. I am also convinced youngest daughter has been photoshopped onto it. The brass neck deception and truth bending never fails to amaze me!

Botbrigade · 11/06/2020 18:05

That Neals Yard thread is a hoot.

acatcalledjohn · 11/06/2020 18:11

Link?

OP posts:
Ginormarse · 11/06/2020 18:19

Actually ignore my previous post. Looks like the Ubers cheque was 2019 one and littlest child wasn't photoshopped!

Botbrigade · 11/06/2020 19:11

@acatcalledjohn if you mean link for Neals Yard thread - www.mumsnet.com/Talk/work/3934866-Business-and-friends?watched=1&msgid=97365818#97365818

acatcalledjohn · 11/06/2020 19:35

Thanks @Botbrigade. I think I just part filled a bingo card.

I'm disgusted with Nurses post 'telling the story' of people who have been made redundant and have joined FL.

Botbrigade · 11/06/2020 21:27

That Nurse post may have been inspired by Yawn who seems to be wanting a medal for saving all the furloughed people of the UK 🙄

BangingOn · 11/06/2020 21:29

@Ginormarse welcome! It’s photos like these which make me scratch my head over the did she/didn’t she get a cheque debate. I know people have posted to say she did get one, but the faux humbleness of not receiving one publicly and then posing with photos of old cheques cropped just doesn’t make sense if she did indeed receive a big cheque.

BSintolerant · 11/06/2020 21:44

I don’t think Uber got a cheque this year. Why post a photo of last year’s cheque if she got one this year? Perhaps she’ll send another flying monkey to these threads to tell us otherwise. Wink

Twentytwentyhindsight · 11/06/2020 21:59

I have also been rather puzzled by the Über cheque saga.

Clearly, despite the fact that FLP U.K. have been going down the pan, the top Bots' cheques have been protected (at the expense of the middle bots- see threads passim, and the excellent Talented Ladies Club article on the subject).

I am in no doubt that Über will have qualified for a substantial cheque, but why the sudden reluctance to parade it? It makes sense for her 'attraction marketing', and it makes sense for FLP UK to parade the riches on offer for potential mugs recruits.

So why the coyness on both sides (except Über's tantalising pictures of not-quite attributable cheques)?

This may be a shot in the dark, but might it not be because a positively identifiable announcement of the value of that cheque may open her up to HMRC laying claim to more money than she is able to repay (which would also reflect badly on FLP, their touting of other secretly insolvent bots notwithstanding)?
