For those interested, the Lifetime channel is airing a documentary series called Cults & Extreme Belief. I have seen two episodes so far (FLDS, aired yesterday, and Twelve Tribes, aired last week). This coming Sunday is the first part of The Survivors Speak. So far it has been very interesting to see the similarities to MLM brainwashing. The way that active FLDS members still view Warren Jeffs as a prophet rather than a paedophile is remarkably similar to how Young Living customers view their late leader Gary Young.

In other news: I'm thinking about starting a tinfoil MLM as there seems to be a rather strong market amongst huns.

@Sforsh49 she’s such a good example of all that is wrong with MLM when viewed from the day to day reality of their behaviour and the poor outcomes for its victims (and perpetrators) v the DSA’s quaint direct selling notion of women happily hunning away in hobby jobs (how patronising the DSA is). In reality it’s a hard and brutal selling of the opportunity by any dishonest means, targeting women mainly (how patronising the whole industry is). I think our featured friend exemplifies this!

I’ve just had a friend request from what looks like a Modere bot. I usually just block them but I kind of want this one to ask me to buy the chicken chocolate (some ridiculous 10 day before and afters on her page too) so I can ask her if it’s vegan.

That is a quality response to the R4 Woman's Hour programme, BS.

Other news, my neighbour, who had succumbed to becoming a bot for Body Shop At Home seems to have stopped posting anything about it on her feed. In fact I can't find her business page at all. Phew, relieved.

She is such a lovely person with a disabled child, ideal victim material for MLM scam-bots. I hated seeing her post the exploitative "donate money to me and I will send Body Shop creams to NHS and make no profit" posts, like her upline had told her. She stopped soon after that post, maybe someone spoke to her privately, it was a grim post.

Now waiting for my lovely cousin (she is carer to her dad who has dementia, he lives with her now) who is another ideal victim for the Body Shop at Home MLM to exploit. She did a cringey live recently, virtually no feedback, OMG she will live to regret it . She knows well my opinion of MLM as I have spoken to her about it some years ago in relation to a niece who had been exploited by a 'friend' who targetted all her facebook friends and sent DMs to us all. I was so angry, but niece didn't understand. It was FL, by the way.

Watching the video I posted on Sunday at 17:45 which showed a, Arbonne zoom call where this sort of exploitation of friends, friends, friends on facebook was encouraged was disturbing. So intrusive.

Anyone seen “The Body Shop has fallen” thread? I know we’re are concerned with the MLM element primarily but it’s interesting to see them discussed in another context and I see people are questioning BS’s ethical reputation in light of its MLM status.

Just found the thread on a search, it is in feminism chat. However, clicking on it brings up the message "Oops, can't find page". Does that mean it has been deleted?

Interestingly, when you search for Salon’s name on Facebook the suggest search term was “Salon’s real name scam”.

Is Body Shop at Home an MLM and does anyone have a good link I could feed back to someone about it? My sister is being threatened with legal action (lol) for saying it is an MLM.

My sister is now being guilt tripped about denying a furloughed woman an opportunity to feed her kids by not allowing this woman to promote her “business”.

Also, if a women is furloughed she is being paid 80% to stay at home. She can feed her kids!

His other company has a similar amount sitting in it. I’m not sure what that is all about tbh.
