Continued chat exposing things such as the lies peddled and the bankruptcies hidden from view.

For those interested, the Lifetime channel is airing a documentary series called Cults & Extreme Belief. I have seen two episodes so far (FLDS, aired yesterday, and Twelve Tribes, aired last week). This coming Sunday is the first part of The Survivors Speak. So far it has been very interesting to see the similarities to MLM brainwashing. The way that active FLDS members still view Warren Jeffs as a prophet rather than a paedophile is remarkably similar to how Young Living customers view their late leader Gary Young.

In other news: I'm thinking about starting a tinfoil MLM as there seems to be a rather strong market amongst huns.

The HMRC angle is interesting.

Has Dora been back to these threads recently? I’d be interested to hear her thoughts.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 11/06/2020 22:05

Unfortunately, @DoraExplorer99 has not given any signs of life since queries were made a while back.

I do hope she's OK.

BangingOn · 11/06/2020 22:27

Me too, I hope she checks in soon.

BovvyDazz · 11/06/2020 23:14

Hmm interesting re. The cheque.
She shortened the accounting period for her accounts by a day which buys 3 months more to submit accounts. They are now due at the end of this month (unless the accounting period is shortened another day to buy another three months).

The accountancy firm cannot indefinitely sign off an ever growing overdrawn directors loan account year after year and a corresponding liability that may not be either reliably estimated or probable (this reduces the profit and therefore tax the company pay so it has to be justified).

Smokes and mirrors going on in the world of FLP, all the way up to the highest levels.

Not just FLP, The Younique bot who was on the BBC documentary doing the facetime call with Ellie Flynn also delayed her accounts in the exact same manner. her accounts were due in two weeks ago, now it's August 2020.

2018 & 2019 were nothing short of catastrophic for the MLM industry in the UK.

Sacked is out recruiting 16 year olds

9dartfinish2nd · 12/06/2020 00:16

Doesn't the continual taking out of Directors loans come under the term "Bed and Breakfasting" Something I believe HMRC are taking a dim view of these days?

JaniceBattersby · 12/06/2020 00:17

I’d bet my life on the fact that Uber didn’t want to display her 2020 cheque because she knows it’d be up for scrutiny here. At some point the truth will out, she just doesn’t want it to be now.

Botbrigade · 12/06/2020 06:34

There’s def something amiss about Uber’s cheque. She is full on pushing FLP right now too. Could we just ask FLP what her cheque was??

grumpytoddler1 · 12/06/2020 08:57

I agree. If Uber didn't want to disclose her cheque because we were in a global pandemic and recession and she didn't want to rub people's noses in it, why is she now posting photos of last year's even bigger cheque, when we are still in the middle of a global pandemic and recession, and she's still rubbing people's noses in it?

BSintolerant · 12/06/2020 10:31

Exactly @grumpytoddler1. Uber must be naive, deluded, or not very bright if she thinks people can’t see this.

fromdownwest · 12/06/2020 11:47

Chucking £600k into a pension fund in one chunk is awful financial planning. One is allowed £40k p.a but has carry forward so in essence £120k could be put into a pension and receive tax releif.

If it was an employer contribution, trying to explain that amount of pension as 'Wholly and exclusive' whilst the business is in essence drawing money from itself.

I am sure that she obtained the correct advice.

Popihola · 12/06/2020 11:53

Someone (I can't remember who, sorry) posted on here a few weeks back saying they had seen Ubers cheque in one of the FLP groups and it was in excess of 400k. I have no doubt she isn't sharing it because of HMRC. So I would love someone to screen grab it and send it to them 😂

We'll even at 400k I would consider that brag worthy. So absolutely no reason not to promote it unless there is something else going on.

CompleteBarstool · 12/06/2020 12:40

@ToBotOrNotToBot

Hi everyone. Long time lurker. I'm not botting anymore after escaping, but I am still in a few of the flp groups so still see some of the behind the scenes.

I know you're going to be disappointed but Uber really did get a level 3 cheque and hid it from public posts. And it was a decent one again. Not as much as bloodsucker but still over $400k

This was the post from the insider who has "seen" Uber's cheque.

This is the only post on the whole of Mumsnet that this poster has made Hmm

BSintolerant · 12/06/2020 13:20

Yeah, I think that poster who claimed that Uber got a cheque this year is a flying monkey. Funny how she declined to communicate further with us.Grin

ClosdesMouches · 12/06/2020 13:41

Apologies as this is slightly off topic as it's not about an actual MLM Bot.

Has anyone heard of 'nutrition club'? Posters gone up all around my friend's local area promising weight loss and 'reversal of metabolic age'. I've been unable to find an actual website but they do have a couple of FB pages.
Sounds too good to be true, no info about how much it costs etc, exhortations to 'inbox me hun and I'll give you more info' or to watch their 'online presentation'.
I suspect it's well disguised Herbalife. I haven't seen it in my area yet but wondered if anyone else has heard of it and if can confirm it's Herbalife?

YouokHun · 12/06/2020 13:44

“I know you’re going to be disappointed”

I don’t know about anyone else but the disappointment isn’t the amount, it’s what she’s had to do to people to get it and the smoke and mirrors now, which indicate some funny business behind the scenes. I have no problem with people making good money in an honest way.

I’m sure it’s been said but I think she may need to be less upfront about large sums because of HMRC. After all HMRC has confirmed that it monitors social media and I’m told (by my accountant) that they’ll be monitoring DLAs which are regularly overdrawn more closely in these hard times and they may be more ready than ever to decide that the money is not a loan but a salary, and subsequently charge Income Tax and National Insurance on the sum. It might pay her to be more subtle in public.

I guess Ninjabot is indulging in a spot of B&B from what you saw @9dartfinish2nd ?

What a massive teetering pyramid shaped house of cards MLM is.

YouokHun · 12/06/2020 13:56

@ClosdesMouches sounds like Herbalife to me. They have been using the term “Nutrition Club” for a while. I recently found out my DD’s Head of 6th Form is a Herbalife bot on the quiet. I now don’t trust his judgement or motives about anything Hmm

9dartfinish2nd · 12/06/2020 14:06

@YouokHun

The bed and breakfasting thing was in reference to the bots who take out Directors loans year after year with no sign of them being paid back.

Ninja however looks like he has applied to strike off his own company, pretty much the same manner as Yoga bot has.

9dartfinish2nd · 12/06/2020 14:11

Personally I think the bots now realise they can be exposed for false earnings, Directors Loans and insolvency through having accounts listed publicly.
I think many will roll back to Sole Trader status to keep the true figures hidden despite the increased potential personal liability in doing so.

ClosdesMouches · 12/06/2020 14:18

Thanks youok.
I have a few friends living in that area so I'll warn them off. I've been looking at a few more of their 'success stories' and most of them are now 'coaches' . Hmm
I had a horrible experience losing a good friend to FL a few years ago, did document it on the earlier threads in this series, so am very cautious now.!
