MLM Bot Watch 60: It takes a village to sink an island.

Continued chat exposing things such as the lies peddled and the bankruptcies hidden from view.

For those interested, the Lifetime channel is airing a documentary series called Cults & Extreme Belief. I have seen two episodes so far (FLDS, aired yesterday, and Twelve Tribes, aired last week). This coming Sunday is the first part of The Survivors Speak. So far it has been very interesting to see the similarities to MLM brainwashing. The way that active FLDS members still view Warren Jeffs as a prophet rather than a paedophile is remarkably similar to how Young Living customers view their late leader Gary Young.

In other news: I'm thinking about starting a tinfoil MLM as there seems to be a rather strong market amongst huns.

@DownThePan

Has Yawn bought Mr Yawn a stepladder to take all those photos from above?
...take a look at Yawn's facebook post from about 2 hours ago Grin
Botbrigade · 29/05/2020 20:08

Is lumi spa the same as nu skin? Had a friend request from a girl I knew years ago. Accepted it then immediately get an invite to like her shite group. Declined. Day later I get a “how are you” type message from her on messenger. Reply politely to say good and hope she is. Boom. Another invite to join her stupid group. At least attempt some foreplay to butter me up.

BSintolerant · 29/05/2020 20:12

@CompleteBarstool Grin That’s the MLM Law of Reaction for you!

CodenameVillanelle · 29/05/2020 20:14

Remember when yawn went to learn BSL? Her newest recruit is her former BSL teacher...vulture

Bluewavescrashing · 29/05/2020 20:31

Yawn must have pestered her relentlessly until she finally gave in.

Home school has done a live saying how happy she is on her weight loss journey and drinking the collagen etc. I just don't buy it as she keeps looking down looking sad. I think she is trying to change herself because of Mr HS.

HailHydra · 29/05/2020 20:38

Uber with no cheque. Jeez. How the mighty have fallen.

Her sister is still desperately trying to sell tat in FB groups.

Norma27 · 29/05/2020 20:50

Homeschool looks desperately sad. Also, I hate commenting on weight, but I think she looks the biggest she ever has.

Norma27 · 29/05/2020 21:07

I'm only commenting on weight as she is shilling weight loss. She is exercising everyday do if she just ate healthy too she would see results.
Her live got me wondering if Weird Willy and his sidekick are her health mentors.

HailHydra · 29/05/2020 21:24

Homeschool and her 'bold' eyebrows. She looks like she should be shilling Younique.

Doing a live, make up free, hair in a towel. Surely it can't be her idea to shift product?

HailHydra · 29/05/2020 21:26

Sorry. The live before the towel picture. She looks terrible. She was such a fan of angles and photoshop.

And I mean terrible by skin quality, stressed, sunburnt, tearful and emotional.

CodenameVillanelle · 29/05/2020 21:28

She always looks a bit grubby. Probably because she's coming on live after working out without showering!

@Botbrigade

Yes, The Lumi Spa is a Nu Skin product and is currently being pushed heavily by them.

They have a number of so called successful reps who have had LTD companies dissolved for not filing accounts as legally obliged to, the two who were filmed undercover in the BBC documentary last year for example but yet they continue the charade.

and just like Forever Living they also have several top reps with directors loans hanging over them.

RogueApostrophe · 30/05/2020 09:40

@CompleteBarstool That is hilarious about the stepladder.

RogueApostrophe · 30/05/2020 09:47

@Norma27 The bots may say they are eating healthily but it's usually just for show and fads like going vegan or gluten-free only last a few days. Same with the exercise regime. It lasts a few days or weeks (like the running club but then it peters out).

The Bots that look fantastic are grafting away at their bodies daily (yoga bot, castleBFF). Ones that rely on endless C9s, stepladders and chocolate fat-melting stuff are just stuck in the endless cycle of yo-yo dieting without any long-lasting results. They seem to have a completely different audience of women that are all desperate for a quick-fix way to lose weight which is a shame as none of these snake oil potions will give people the results that they want.

Norma27 · 30/05/2020 09:49

I completely agree @RogueApostrophe
Homeschool was vegan at one point. Obviously no more considered what is contained in her gloop.

BSintolerant · 30/05/2020 10:04

Timeless Vie should add a stepladder to its product range. Grin

Hey huns! Why fly like a super-soaring flappy pigeon, twerk like a tit or thrust like a thrush when you can order your husband to climb the Stepladder of Success! #askmehow

CompleteBarstool · 30/05/2020 10:13

The level of your weight loss success (or failure) can be determined by how high up the ladder the bot's husband has to go .... bottom rung means your weight hasn't really changed but you've probably just lot a lot of water so results look flattering especially when you breathe in hard.

If he's on the top rung you've royally fucked up your metabolism by doing too many C9s and actually put on weight during the most recent one.

RogueApostrophe · 30/05/2020 10:16

LIke Yawn herself said when she started running club - she's got all the gear, but no idea. That's a good summary of Bots and weight loss!

Norma27 · 30/05/2020 11:05

That stepladder is comedy gold.

Duvetday8 · 30/05/2020 11:25

I read up on bankruptcy and anything you earn over £20 ontop of agreed outgoings goes straight to creditors so what is the point of homeschool doing all this work if it's going straight there?

RogueApostrophe · 30/05/2020 11:38

@Duvetday8 There's a very real chance she's not earning much more than £20

BSintolerant · 30/05/2020 11:55

What if it’s going somewhere else?

YouokHun · 30/05/2020 12:18

@BSIntolerant that’s what I think. If she’s earning anything (and it’s a big”if”) then perhaps there is some arrangement with her US upline or Mr Homeschool has made his sole trader bank account available to receive any money?

On my “training” last night Mr H did talk about his Veganism in the present tense So I guess he’s not drinking the Choc Chick shake. Didn’t take in the rest of what he said as I t was remarkably similar to the previous days. He thinks he can free style it because he’s a guru but actually he just wanders about. He did briefly mention his ‘recovery’ In the past, going on to say he then had a successful network marketing business. So I feel MLM is being gently seeded as an indicator of success and high self esteem.

Anyway, can’t stop. I’m off to search through the garage for a step ladder. Once I find a suitably tall one I should start to look 20 years younger and 2 stone slimmer. All future posts will be accompanied by an artful shot of me standing next to someone else’s nice car.

acatcalledjohn · 30/05/2020 12:24

Does the TV stepladder come with Parslaii (TM) decals?
