MLM Bot Watch 60: It takes a village to sink an island.

Continued chat exposing things such as the lies peddled and the bankruptcies hidden from view.

For those interested, the Lifetime channel is airing a documentary series called Cults & Extreme Belief. I have seen two episodes so far (FLDS, aired yesterday, and Twelve Tribes, aired last week). This coming Sunday is the first part of The Survivors Speak. So far it has been very interesting to see the similarities to MLM brainwashing. The way that active FLDS members still view Warren Jeffs as a prophet rather than a paedophile is remarkably similar to how Young Living customers view their late leader Gary Young.

In other news: I'm thinking about starting a tinfoil MLM as there seems to be a rather strong market amongst huns.

if you’re being emotionally abused and bullied it’s because you’re inviting it and you need to be rescued and stop accepting it.

I am not a psychologist, but is that not a bit victim blamey...? And the being rescued bit seems a tad dubious.

CodenameVillanelle · 27/05/2020 21:08

Weird Willy read an article about the drama triangle once and misapplies it to his 'clients'

BSintolerant · 27/05/2020 23:21

Telling people they need to be rescued is a poor attempt to fool them into thinking they’re so incapable of helping themselves that their only hope is ... Weird Willy! He’ll soon have them all sitting around a camp fire wearing dungarees, drinking his Wife’s Chicken Cartilage and Chocolate Potion (TM), and chanting “Live Laugh Love!” before sacrificing a goat to appease The Insolvency Service. Grin

YouokHun · 27/05/2020 23:36

@BSintolerant - cost of Weird Willy’s Woo, not easy to find the info but I think this is right: if I was to sign up to the full programme it would cost me £1261 which is around twice the price of 10 x 1 hour sessions with a proper psychotherapist. It’s a bargain though as it actually normally costs £19,257 apparently.

Today’s session was 45 minutes of Mr H talking...it was very hard to follow and clearly his underling was pretty mystified too. I did establish that an eating disorder is just self harm which is just self sabotage which is just the wrong mindset and you need to stop it. Right. Now. I think that was the essence of it. I did record a 23 minute segment but I challenge anyone to sit through it, and I challenge anyone to sit through it and make head nor tail of it, it’s meaningless.

AND SALUTING! don’t forget the saluting! It is the sign that those that are Living Their Best Life give to one another. Who wouldn’t want to sit around a camp fire saluting each other like some really wanky group of Hun Scouts? It’s certainly on my goal board.

BSintolerant · 28/05/2020 00:17

The saluting! I forgot about the saluting. I hope they don’t forget to salute the goat. Grin

If Weird Willy has never actually sold his programme for £19,257 because it’s always advertised at a so-called “discount” that’s classed as mis-selling. Let’s hope nobody drops him in it. Wink

The discount (which isn’t a discount because it’s highly unlikely that anyone has ever paid any more than the “discount”) is still eye-wateringly expensive, particularly as he’s not a psychotherapist.

Whiterangey · 28/05/2020 00:25

My head hurts just trying to make sense of the written version of the video you watched.

Younique bots saying they have 50 free mascara's to give away. What is the catch? If anyone know the specifics of this amazing giveaway I would be grateful.

It's got to be either a free mascara when you sign up to be in that bots downline, or buy £600 worth of shite makeup and get a free mascara.

I'd really like to know the specifics if anyone knows.

BSintolerant · 28/05/2020 00:32

They’re desperate for money to pay their tithes otherwise they’ll be excommunicated. Grin

Whiterangey · 28/05/2020 00:34

It's to join as a younique affiliate.

Apparently, according to Google, you give the person an affiliate code which they post on their Facebook together with a post you give them, new post each day for a week. If that affiliate code gets more than a certain amount of orders you get credit. The one I saw is $200 before you get anything.

That's your free mascara.

BangingOn · 28/05/2020 08:25

My cousin is still deep in Younique and is pulling the ‘free mascara’ shit too. I’d hidden her on Facebook as it was winding me up so much but I can’t resist taking a look occasionally in the hope she’s given up. Unfortunately she’s really not great at applying make up and is making herself look quite foolish in her photos and video, which is sad to see.

Norma27 · 28/05/2020 09:34

The more I see/hear about Mr Homeschool/Weird Willy, the more angry I get. He is an absolute abuser of women. And how can he believe his preaching bollocks is worthy of £1600, never mind £20k?
Absolute charlatan. Surely there is somewhere he can be reported.

Jigsawpuzzle · 28/05/2020 13:16

So not a teacher gembot is on track to become manager on £2k+ a month 🤣

CompleteBarstool · 28/05/2020 13:21

That's great. She'll be able to get her car fixed now

Spongebobette · 28/05/2020 13:51

PhD bot has wandered off the edge of charlatan country and has entered full metal bonkers territory

Andpiglettoo · 28/05/2020 14:37

PHD is changing her spin. Recently said she is earning more now than in her full time banking job. When she joined FL it was all poor little me, I’m a student who’s never earned real money.

I do hope she is Aussie tax and visa compliant and declaring all her income. The Australian authorities are very good at following up and collecting tax, they do check Social Media and can be very tough especially on non-residents.

Norma27 · 28/05/2020 14:45

Didn't gembot make £80 one month?
That was probably before expenses too.

Andpiglettoo · 28/05/2020 14:45

Also trying to decide if I’m brave enough to sign up to one of these schemes, check my employment status with HMRC and then make a minimum wage, holiday pay complaint. It would almost be worth spending £200 with FL.

Spongebobette · 28/05/2020 15:43

Go on go on go on

Bluewavescrashing · 28/05/2020 17:12

Gowaaaaaaan.

spanfan · 28/05/2020 18:15

I dont want to see weird Willy's woo. 😭

SSDGM · 28/05/2020 23:25

So, Broke and a few of his followers are making noises about “obseydian”. It’s a weight loss MLM. Off to do some digging!

DownThePan · 29/05/2020 06:04

@SSDGM Surely they've spelled that wrong, no?!

DownThePan · 29/05/2020 06:14

@ssdgm I found their web site. It costs £19.99 to register for pre-launch and the exact packages of gunk (samples) are available to choose/buy after they launch. They sell three products which look like some sort of health or diet supplement. A 30 day supply will set you back £44.99 - £54.99 (not sure if that includes shipping). The web site is very poorly designed! Broke says he's already seen AMAZZZZZING results from the weight loss supplement (despite it not having even been launched here yet).

Norma27 · 29/05/2020 06:54

Love how broke tried to do the pyramid scheme thing of keeping the name secret. Then 2 people give the name away.

Nearly wet myself laughing at uber's story where she states before lockdown she was having a pyramid facial. How very apt!

DownThePan · 29/05/2020 09:24

@norma27 I like how he makes out he's been specially invited to launch some new weight loss gloop and lo and behold he's not entering at the top of the pyramid.
