We decided against travelling to Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 today for an Aunts funeral as I don’t think dealing with motorway services/hotels/eateries was an option.
One of DHs brothers is in palliative care for cancer so we are awaiting the phone call and to top it off we had to cancel our flights to Thailand so will miss granddaughter’s birthday. Skype & WhatsApp will have to do.
I can still see the funny side of bots selling aloe gloop when they have missed an opportunity to sell loo roll🚽🧻

I agree with people on here calling out stuff they know is genuinely misleading, income claimed, weight loss health etc.

Again today I’ve seen ridiculous speculation on the Castle family circumstances. Castle’s sister has thankfully had successful treatment; my understanding is her husband has a successful, professional job which would probably come with private health care (ironically that in itself is speculation). Unless someone on here can definitely say otherwise please stop assuming what the wider family do.

What we do know is - buying the castle was false, cheques are in free fall, there is no sit on your arse and the income will continue to roll in. You have to be a grifter to survive in. MLM.

But also if you do get unwell MLM businesses will not pay sickness, holidays, pension contributions or offer private health.

fromdownwest · 13/03/2020 22:24

I agree Gerald - she did state once that she had private health care via her husbands job.

Whiterangey · 14/03/2020 00:23

How long are they expecting to self isolate for? This isn't going to be over in a couple of weeks, or months. It can't be stopped.

If Bruv isn't isolating, are they just not going to see him?

fromdownwest · 14/03/2020 00:44

Self isolating whilst not infected is pure idiocy. This virus will be around for month, maybe even years.

Do they intend to self isolate for a year?

Current recruitment message from Inteletravel agents.
Christ knows what they will make commission on since nothing is being sold and cancellations are endless.
Also: how absolutely tasteless.

‘Make a killing’

WHAT

Whiterangey · 14/03/2020 13:08

I wonder if the travel MLM's will go broke. Everything to do with the travel industry is at a huge risk right now, it's really worrying. Not the mlm bit, the real people losing real jobs part of it.

It's really worrying how this is going to affect so many people financially, trying to keep at riskers safe while worrying about money and jobs. This is horrible. I hate this. So many unknowns, and what we do know is scary.

SSDGM · 14/03/2020 13:44

People are already losing jobs. Lost count of the amount of front line agents being laid off, many are being asked to take unpaid leave and even people in roles similar to mine further up the tree are updating their LinkdIn profiles to say they are “looking for new opportunities”.

There will be much more next week. Personally, I think I have a month.

Spongebobette · 14/03/2020 15:05

That’s awful

Whiterangey · 14/03/2020 15:28

Oh no, I am so sorry, this is terrible.

JasperRising · 14/03/2020 16:50

It is shit. I am tempted to book a holiday for later this year (preferably using someone like BA for flights as they are offering no change of booking fee if you need to alter dates) to show faith in the tourist industry. But I can't see that one booking is going to stem the huge impact that this pandemic is going to have. And that's just travel, there's also local business, cafes, restaurants, theatres etc. The fall out from this is going to be huge/already is huge in places. And it is despicable that MLMs are swarming to take advantage (though I will give the benefit of the doubt that some may genuinely believe they have an opportunity that will help people, the high ups know people will lose money).

FleeBee · 14/03/2020 19:56

Tropic cancelled their grand new product launch today with an online presentation instead. Not quite as exciting huns

SnoogyWoo · 15/03/2020 00:34

So glad we have PHD and her wise Coronavirus advice.

Whiterangey · 15/03/2020 01:02

She mentions that slowing the spread will help it all be over quicker.

Letting it run rampant and have more people die because hospitals cannot cope with everyone sick at the same time would make it be all over quicker.

Drawing it out to hopefully save some lives means this is going to last longer.

I've been looking for a good place to get my coronavirus related information, glad she posted as mlmers are generally the best people to go to for pandemic advice.

Whiterangey · 15/03/2020 01:15

It's getting ridiculous with all the bullshit out there in social media land.

I'm heeding the advice on keeping my hands clean and taking steps to support those who are going to need to self isolate. I'm not panic buying and will just be sensible and look out for others.

This is a serious situation and spreading misinformation will make it worse.

I hope something can be done to mitigate the damage to businesses and jobs.

It's odd to think that 3 months ago we'd never heard of coronavirus, now it's dominating everything.

Spongebobette · 15/03/2020 09:59

Yawn's posting about new recruits and 'putting plans in place' for big incomes again

YAWN

fromdownwest · 15/03/2020 12:36

The blatant profiteering from this pandemic is shameful.

#immunesystem etc

Like taking aloe gloop and over priced vitamins will prevent you from catching a highly contagious VIRAL disease.

These should be classed as medical claims and banned ASAP

BSintolerant · 15/03/2020 12:49

Here we go! A thread about MLMs and Coronavirus.

CatherineCookson · 15/03/2020 13:59

Are Wig and her cronies really suggesting that because they don't know of any coronavirus deaths or I'll people it must be a great conspiracy.

There are just 10 cases in Swansea and hopefully none of them have crossed path with the deranged deluded and over haired idiot.

Jigsawpuzzle · 15/03/2020 14:45

So Uber now thinks she is an expert, someone who thinks cramming her kitchen with bots is a good idea 💡 Didn’t see any tongs in the photo.
I have just come off a Skype call to my DD (dual degree of biology/forensic science) and she has also worked in a research lab before teaching.
She has at least some understanding of the situation.

Whiterangey · 15/03/2020 15:19

Glad to hear the virus is fake, I was a bit concerned there for a while. Back to licking peoples faces then.

Tens of thousands of people have it or have had it. It's only those who get really sick or die that count as numbers. They were only testing those who had been in high risk areas, it's been circulating freely in the general population. Luckily for most it is not a problem. They aren't the ones anyone is concerned about though.

Bitcoin has halved in value apparently. Which is a good thing as you can buy more.

BangingOn · 15/03/2020 19:50

Iron Bot is ticking every box on the predictably opportunistic MLM vulture list- health and well-being, able to work from home, business entirely online, more security than a JOB, no need to worry about sick pay.... conveniently failing to mention that her business has been liquidated with a huge overdrawn director’s loan account.
