@blackcatfan Have things changed with mturk? As the previous issue with them was that they pay International workers in Amazon vouchers that can only be used on the American site! Would be great if that is no longer the case.

@GachaBread can you remember what the minimum amount of messages is on cloudworkers for a payout? Is it 1000?

@blackcatfan I also remember MTurk paying vouchers to use only on the American sites. I still have mine on there from ages ago but no-where to spend them. I am hoping that has changed?

I did the authoring test on clickworker and was told they are waiting for work to come in before I was to start.

I'm not sure if the mturk payment method has changed, to my knowledge they pay in amazon vouchers but didn't realise they can only be used on the US site. That makes it a bit pointless. I read on a Reddit forum I sometimes read that someone had the option of cashing out to a uk bank account but apparently he'd being working on the project for a few years so maybe that was the reason..

@GachaBread BME is really quiet too at the moment, down south at least. I did a fair few of the valentines ones though, primarily for points, but they were easy enough

Thanks Lougle! It's just time to do stuff. I'm struggling a bit at the moment with tiredness. I take medication for my ADHD but it's not a stimulant one, it's a tricyclic antidepressant and if I forget to take it for a few days I get awful nausea and tiredness when I go back on it. But the ADHD makes me forgetful so I am not great at remembering to take it :( It's not a great cycle. Plus I have a 1.5 year old who doesn't sleep fantastically well. So with uTest at the moment I'm struggling to find the time to focus to do things on it - I'm doing the Charles Proxy academy cycle now and it's just so dull setting it up etc. Then I've been invited to a few paid cycles but they don't seem to notify you in advance - you only get the invitation at the time it's happening. Which is a shame because I usually miss the chance to do it, even though I would have been free at that time. It might just be these cycles though rather than a general pattern with all of them. With we-are-testers they sign everyone up in advance and then you have a few days' notice so I can make sure I'm ready at the start time. I've got one starting on Thursday, which should be good.

I've not done anything on MTurk, but I have heard there is a voucher exchange somewhere online - you can swap it for something you will spend, or even sell it to someone for paypal credit. I'll try and find the link.

@spacepoppers yes I know, it's dire at the moment. But the good thing is that you are doing jobs and climbing up the ladder. I am so glad that you are on it hun. When BME is good it is so rewarding.

That is the only thing I hate about mystery shopping, you never know when the jobs will drop and how good of an earner the jobs will be.

Once you get to a certain point with BME you can book up to five jobs at one time and the timer disappears so that you get the jobs instantly instead of waiting to see if someone books it before you do.

Download Roamler and Field agent too to get more opportunities while you are out and about. Roamler pay out instantly with no minimum straight to PayPal only.

If you're not familiar with reddit... it's probably best to see if you can find a US based friend who uses Amazon who is willing to buy the vouchers off you. Or don't use MTurk - to be honest, I got a survey on Clickworker today that at the end said "Click here to return to MTurk" so I reckon you get the same stuff on multiple sites anyway.

That does sound tricky @BertieBotts. Charles Proxy is a bit of a faff at first, getting it set up, but then it's straightforward, well except for the fact that it isn't working properly for android 7 and up.

The thing I have to keep an eye on is how far through a cycle is when I'm invited. Sometimes I think 'I'm already doing stuff' but then I realise that my current cycles will end part way through another cycle, etc., so I will have time. It's all learning.

Oh, isn't it? Well that's no good, I'm on android 9! What headaches can I expect?

Ah, these were really short cycles, only 2 hours - so I was seeing them when they had 15 minutes left to go!

@GachaBread I can't wait to be at that point / level! At the moment I feel a bit restricted, but will continue plugging away! You know the jobs that are limited to a certain time, ie. flower ones that are only between 8am-9pm, can you reserve them the night before, or will the clock start as soon as you reserve it? I don't want to lose points if I can't complete it within 3 hours because it's shut lol.
I've added Roamler and field agent, but nothing on FA yet, Roamler only sends to be the 3 mobile jobs which I find a bit intimidating. Will continue to keep checking, I can't thank you enough for all your support so far.

@spacepoppers if you do download field agent don't be disheartened to see no jobs at all. I deleted it many times thinking it was hopeless to finally realise that most of their jobs drop on a weekend only.

Their jobs start at £5 but rise to £10 max. You always have to do a short survey to qualify for them so let's say the survey is about cats. Then you would say you have a cat even if you don't if you get what I mean to then see the available jobs for that survey and to have them open for you 😂🤣.

The only downside is that you have to do a short video regarding that job usually a minute long.

I always feel like a complete dickhead doing those but they are quick and easy and it all adds up.
