Ah, yes... I spy the Twitter post.

Jon brings a fair point though about what is classed as 'useful' content on here. His blog posts are fantastic, yet get him banned, but it's fine for people to discuss the MLM schemes they're involved in and post referral links, etc.

Didn't appreciate the arabonne comment though as not once has MLM ever been mentioned in the duration of this thread. I think it's fair to say none of us have time to waste with a pyramid scheme anyway.

On a happier note, I have an interview. On a less happy note, it's in the same office I work in.

OP posts:
Catatemyhomework · 04/02/2020 20:54

I've had a shitty day. Claimed a slot on UTest and follwed through with a purchase. Turns out I'd claimed the wrong test slot and won't get reimbursed. Thankfully, I bought a cheap product but I am so annoyed with myself. In my defence, it wasn't obvious.
Been kicked off UHRS again, only this time it said that this hit app is
disabled for me so I guess I won't be allowed back.
What a day...Still, I have two football matches tonight for my matched betting, so hoping that goes well for me. It's all a steep learning curve...

MoreMoneyPlease · 04/02/2020 21:26

@Catatemyhomework Sorry to hear it's been a bad day, I've had a couple of times when I've messed things up (did one at the weekend which would have been worth a lot Angry) so I know how you feel. Fingers crossed for the matches tonight, I've got a few bets on too and also did my first horse racing bet.

I wondered where @themoneyshed had gone the last couple of days. It's mad that it's fine for us to talk about other companies and share links left, right and centre but he can't promote his helpful blog.

MoreMoneyPlease · 04/02/2020 21:29

@otterses Good luck for the interview!

@SNISR Let's hope we make so much on MB that we don't ever have to do any more interviews Grin

SNISR · 04/02/2020 21:33

@MoreMoneyPlease that would be amazing! 😃

Tefiti2 · 04/02/2020 21:34

@themoneyshed has been really really helpful to lots of posters on this thread and previous - totally hypocritical that he has been banned for sharing links when the thread is covered in other links, what a shame.

Catatemyhomework · 04/02/2020 22:06

Thanks @MoreMoneyPlease. Well done on the first horse racing bet. It can be scary as the odds change so fast. I would love to never have to have another interview again too! Grin. @Otterses, good luck! I have had some very helpful tips from @themoneyshed. I don't think I would ever have started MB had it not been for his encouragement! I really need to learn how to do the accumulators and other reload offers for when the new customer offers come to an end.

DollyDiddles · 04/02/2020 22:30

If you haven't already signed up to Top Cashback, you will receive a £5.00 M&S gift card if you sign up using my referral link below.

Note, you must earn £10 cash back of your own in order to receive the gift card...BUT this is so easy to do if you go through TCB when signing up for any new betting, casino, and bingo sites for their welcome offers. Generous cashback is offered for some gambling sites, so always make sure that you can claim some cash back as well as the sign up offer before you join. I didn't join any gambling site without checking if any free cash was available first! Got to be savvy!

ZetaPuppis · 04/02/2020 22:31

That’s sad about @themoneyshed being banned. I thought his posts were fab and helpful.

I have been quite ill and have made no money this month. And I’ve got a tough LB exam to do in a few days and I haven’t even looked at the 10 million pages of guidelines yet Sad
😭

DollyDiddles · 04/02/2020 22:31

My free share referral link that I posted the other day has not been used yet so here it is again. You only need to deposit £1 but you don't have to spend it. We will both get a free share up to the value of £200 if you use the link, thank you.

freetrade.io/freeshare/?code=3Q412F6NFJ&sender=XUZJ510q You should sign up to Freetrade! It’s an app for investing in the stock market with no fees. Plus, when you sign up, we both get a free mystery share!

Has anyone else had trouble with Quidco for not tracking purchases via Amazon?

I recall reading somewhere that they wouldn't track cash back until they had confirmation from Amazon that the goods had been safely delivered, which is sensible. However, I have made quite a few purchases on Amazon via Quidco and the latest one that is showing is from 6 Jan. not sure how I can file any missing claims as I didn't make a note at the time what I bought, when, and who with.

I am going to start writing down who I use for cashback, who with, what for, and when I purchased. This is the only way to be able to claim missing cash back as I can see.

Anyone else? Any advice? So frustrating!

Themoneyshed bloke earnt how much from these threads?

I've been here since the start, we've been sharing info and occasional referral links. None of us saw this thread as an advertising slot.

It's sad but this is a Mumsnetters thread started by @otterses for other mumsnetters and Themoneyshed has had enough mentions.

If you want the moneyshed, go to the moneyshed, it's a whole site. This is the Tenner a day thread on Mumsnet. I agree with the decision.

SilveryWrath · 05/02/2020 00:23

I'm trying to use links from here and thanks to all who have posted
Is anyone else having a problem with Freetrade- can't download the app as device not suitable apparently ...it's only a couple of years old!

Is there any other way?

DollyDiddles · 05/02/2020 00:38

@lilmishap I have to say I thoroughly agree with you. And I am very glad you had the guts to point it out. I have been very suspicious of his motives for a while. The banning made my thoughts become clear. He is here posting as a so called money making guru. People then use his referral links instead of ours as they see him as an expert. Really underhand and really fucking sexist. A blatant attempt to mine Mumsnet for referrals at the expense of other women.

How low does he have to go to decide to post on here as an 'expert' and then pinch all the referral links? Really low. Lower than a snake's belly. He has posted as an 'expert' to pinch referrals from genuine mumsnetters to grab the rewards. Absolutely vile and so underhand. I am disgusted at his cheek.

We are sharing links with each other so EACH OTHER can benefit. @themoneyshed was posting HIS links, to take away our referrals between one another. He wanted to mop up the 'mum referrals'. He has probably made a fortune this last month with people signing up via his links, because he 'runs a website'.

@themoneyshed earns loads already on his own website from referral links to his favoured matched betting site, his blog, and many other things. This is how he has managed to give up his day job.

It would be fine if he was just here to post advice and opportunities, but he wasn't. He was here to plug his referral links to Profit Accumulator (which bring pretty hefty rewards to the referee). I know, because I am on PA and I have tried relentlessly to get my friends to join, but they all say, "ooh, it's gambling." 🙄

Every link @themoneyshed posted here will have earned him rewards. He was using 'us clueless mums' as a way to get himself more referrals. Every time we signed up for something via @themoneyshed meant more money in his pocket. And no money in Mumsnetter's pockets because they used his referral link over ours.

I am glad Mumsnet saw through his attempts to earn money from us all via HIS OWN referral links. He needs to stay off here, stop trying to recruit vulnerable women, and stick to his own website.

He was here to exploit us. Here as an 'expert' making us use HIS referral links as he is such an EXPERT. We are part of his marketing plan. People will choose to use HIS links rather than other MNetters' links as he 'seems' to be the 'expert'. He is only an 'expert' at marketing himself. An expert at shoving women aside for his own gain. He posts his EXPERT links here and then nabs all the referral link cash from the rest of us. I see him in Technicolor.

DON'T use @themoneyshed links as they are just feeding his business. Please use EACH OTHER'S links to things like cash back, matched betting, online banking etc.

MN saw through his guise and I am glad they did. If you felt his advice was good, it is all there for free on his own website.

This thread is for MUMSNETTERS. Not people who run 'money making' websites to use us all to make a very good buck. He joined here to exploit us. Glad he was exposed. Do not mourn his loss. He was a parasite.

DollyDiddles · 05/02/2020 00:43

Sorry for all the BOLD. Don't know what I did. Typing in a fury, probably. This guy has a website with thousands of subscribers. He has boasted that he gave up his day job. And now we know one of the reasons why...he mines for new referrals from places like Mumsnet. What a vulture. I am a member of his website. I will unsubscribe tonight now I can see how he makes all his money. Really fucked off that he infiltrated Mumsnet. He tried to use us all for his own gain. Vile way to do business.

DollyDiddles · 05/02/2020 02:02

Well done @MNHQ for banning @themoneyshed

He was here to promote his own referral links. In doing so, he 'pinched' all our referrals amongst ourselves. Referrals between each other's were going brilliantly until he pitched up promoting his own as an 'expert'.

Glad @MNHQ saw through his game. It has been bugging me for a while.

Lougle · 05/02/2020 06:34

I'm pleased with UTest. I've made as much in the last 4 days as I did in the whole month of January. Not masses, by any means, but on the right track. I got my first very valuable in a paid cycle yesterday.

I am having trouble with the platform, though. I keep getting locked out. I think it might be because I am using my phone and PC to log in.

GachaBread · 05/02/2020 06:44

I am sure someone told the @moneyshed to piss off on an earlier thread. That did make me giggle.
