So... Anyone up for an earn £10 a day 2020 thread?

HAPPY NEW YEAR Crown Grin

For anyone who wasn't with us last year, we all set about trying to earn £10 a day on top of our usual income. No MLM schemes or anything dodgy. There were some fantastic amounts achieved, mat leaves extended, babies conceived, and redundancies survived. I know the thread got a bit confusing to follow for new starters, but please don't be intimidated! You don't need any special skills or anything to do any of this, it's all really accessible and I promise we'll all try to be clear about what sites/terms are so no one gets too lost Smile

I haven't had time to put a full list together, and to be honest I want to pop off and go make the most of the content on Crisp Thinking (social media moderation site averaging around £10 per hour) but I was planning on popping up a list a bit later today.

is anyone doing the isoftstone audio task thats due eod tomorrow? the stupid bot will not recognise when i say 'scene' and is transcribing it as seen, seem, theme, steam.

i'm not sure what to do? my accent is RP!

Frenchdoors1 · 05/01/2020 13:34

@Shelbustotherescue
I agree Smile
If I could have someone sit with me and show me what to do and explain it then I would have a bit better understanding of it then.

Otherwise... I can't get my head around it!

@Shelbustotherescue

That's what services like Profit Accumulator and OddsMonkey do. They spoon-feed you the offers and using their oddsmatching software it will even tell you what events to bet on!

Honestly, endlessly reading about it can make it sounds 1000x more complicated than it actually is when you do it

Most sign up offers are just a case of

Qualifying Bet
Bet on team to win at bookie
Place lay bet on same team at betting exchange
Lose a few pence

Get £20 free bet
Bet on team to win at the bookie using your free bet
Place lay back on the same team at betting exchange
Make £16-£17

Job done ;)

My computer doesn't like isoftstone; gives me a security risk warning. Anyone else had this?

Frenchdoors1 · 05/01/2020 13:42

@themoneyshed
Ooh, you make it look so easy Grin
Thanks for explaining though.

Frenchdoors1 · 05/01/2020 13:45

Do I need to upload photo ID for this @themoneyshed?

Not saying I'm going to attempt it Grin

themoneyshed · 05/01/2020 13:48

@Frenchdoors1

SOME bookies will do KnowYouCustomer KYC and will require an upload of ID

This is perfectly normal and is a part of fraud protection ;)

Frenchdoors1 · 05/01/2020 13:55

@themoneyshed
Ahh,was just wondering because I don't drive - no licence or plan to go abroad - passport expired.

May need to renew passport if I get more tasks on appen, as the payoneer account will need it.

Thank you!

themoneyshed · 05/01/2020 13:59

@Frenchdoors1

Yeah, could be a bit tricky that. Being asked for ID of some kind by companies that offer 'work from home ops' is becoming more and more common these days. Even more so as like you've mentioned you are forced to get paid via Payoneer etc.

Frenchdoors1 · 05/01/2020 14:02

@themoneyshed
Yes, exactly.
No problem.
Thank you

theunicornsanctuary · 05/01/2020 14:07

I'll join. Sounds interesting

Catatemyhomework · 05/01/2020 14:27

@Patapouf, I had that problem with the robot too. Got round it by putting 'the' in front of scene, e.g. 'set the scene to away'. It seems to transcribe it correctly then.

Wolfff · 05/01/2020 14:27

@patapouf

I gave up on the iSoftstone task. It just didn't work. One poster here put 'the' before certain words and that seemed to work.

Patapouf · 05/01/2020 14:31

Ooof, I'll give it another go. I've already gone to the effort of jotting down the phrases so I want to see it through if I can.

MarySidney · 05/01/2020 15:51

I've just done the Crisp test, chiefly because I read about it here and wanted to see what it was. I scored 19/20 and am on the waiting list, so will now just .... wait.

I don't drive - no licence or plan to go abroad - passport expired.

I'm the same. I haven't come across Payoneer. The payment methods I've noticed so far are PayPal or bank transfer. I prefer bank transfer.

Did another Prolific survey today. They pay out once you've got to £5, so I should begin to get some actual money soon!

usernamegoeshere · 05/01/2020 16:08

I'm rarely asked for ID match betting & when I am usually I get away with a tax credits statement or council tax bill, i think it helps to be on the electoral register.

whereareyousleep · 05/01/2020 16:16

I just can't pass the crisp thinking I can only get 16/20 and I've done it 3 times now I don't know what the hells the matter with me.

Lougle · 05/01/2020 17:00

Do you all use Payoneer or PayPal?

MoreMoneyPlease · 05/01/2020 18:02

@Patapouf I had to give up on the isoftstone one after multiple attempts (and spending ages coming up with different phrases!) as the website just wouldn't work for me. Nice little earner if it works though!

MoreMoneyPlease · 05/01/2020 18:06

I must try matched betting again though. I did one bet, got my free bet then left it for a week - my free bet expired so beware of that!

When I watch the videos, it makes perfect sense. As soon as I look away, I forget how it works Confused (Fairly intelligent person with business degrees but this just confuses me!) I also find the betting websites scary as I've never used them before and they are not user friendly for total newbies.

First matched bet done and £13 up. I was an absolute wreck doing it Shock

themoneyshed · 05/01/2020 19:06

@seizethecuttlefish

Don’t worry it WILL get easier. Placing bets and using the calculator will become second nature before you know it!! :)

bkaz · 05/01/2020 19:14

@Patapouf Thanks for the link.

I also failed the English native listening test with Neevo. Wondering if this will bar me from future work with them.

usernamegoeshere · 05/01/2020 20:48

My ebay stuff sold so £16 up on that. Hoping some other things move forward tomorrow since its Monday again!!

Planning to sign up for prolific at work tomorrow I usually get some spare time in the morning. Really should list more on Ebay too.
