Oh and if anyone is interested in Swagbucks I need to cross 'refer a friend' off my Swago board!

Check out Swagbucks! I use it to get free gift cards! Click my link to join: www.swagbucks.com/?cmd=sb-register&rb=20452311&cmp=197&cxid=2001-app

Bemystarlord · 04/11/2019 15:16

@TheLolaMontez strangely that has just started happening the last few days! Love the cool off bit 😂 do you do the saucy or not one? I do wonder what on earth my browser history must look like 😝

@rhij86 have a look on the projects board, theres new ones pop up each day :)

TheLolaMontez · 04/11/2019 15:20

I do the saucy ones too, my history is more than likely just as odd 😂

I tend to find a lot of them won't load and when I select the bottom option for page error it tells me off and it should be something else (obviously but I can't see the page so can't judge it) and then I end up getting kicked off Hmm

On utest, do you have to complete the academy stuff before you can do real jobs?

2littleChicks · 04/11/2019 15:25

@TheLolaMontez is cloud workers worth it? How much do you have to work to earn? Sorry lots of questions just looking at the site now.

TheLolaMontez · 04/11/2019 15:30

It really depends how much you do as to how much you will get paid. It's 10 cents (euro) per message sent and they have to be over 140 something characters, so around 2 sentences.

I've not worked on it for a while because I found it a bit soul destroying tbh and I think I was pressuring myself to work on it too much as I really need the extra income and it just made me resent it.
I've not been on it for about 2 months but as everything is so quiet at the moment I have been back on it today and sent a few messages. I'm not putting any pressure on myself with it though currently. I'll just do what I can.
Also, if you do sign up, be prepared to be constantly emailed by the "managers" as they always need more agents online. It's multiple messages a day, which I also found irritating.

2littleChicks · 04/11/2019 15:37

@TheLolaMontez thank you Smile and I'm guessing it's adult stuff?
If I was able to get in about 2 hours per night would I be able to make Xmas easier for myself?

TheLolaMontez · 04/11/2019 15:38

I guess it depends on your definition of "worth it" - some people are totally grossed out by the idea of it whereas others (like me) don't really care too much about the motivations of weird men as I'm getting paid for chatting to them, while I'm sat in my pjs eating biscuits Grin
If you were really dedicated to it I'm sure you could make a fair few hundred quid on there per month. They have a minimum requirement of 1,500 messages to be sent per month but I haven't always hit that if I can't be arsed an I'm still on there as a moderator, so take that as you will...

TheLolaMontez · 04/11/2019 15:40

It can be adult as in sex chat, talking about sexual fantasies and what not but then on occasion it's just normal day to day "what have you been up to" sort of chat. So it can be quite varied.

Today I'd say it was 20% sex orientated and 80% day to day but of course it depends on who is chatting to you on what day as to what you'll be talking about.

TheLolaMontez · 04/11/2019 15:41

Also depends how fast you type but I used to aim for 100 messages per hour which would be €10 per hour. You've got to be able to type fairly quick for that rate though.

2littleChicks · 04/11/2019 15:45

@TheLolaMontez thank you, sorry so many questions this will be my last one! Is invoicing easy?

TheLolaMontez · 04/11/2019 15:46

It's ok, I don't mind Smile yes it's very easy - it's all auto generated so they just put the money straight into your bank account on pay day.

IsolaPribby · 04/11/2019 16:04

Can someone explain what Appen is? And how easy is it to earn money on it?

Am looking to earn extra money, looked at doing online surveys, but didn't get very far with that.

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 04/11/2019 16:46

@IsolaPribby I did a blog post on Appen a while ago. Hope it's useful.

IsolaPribby · 04/11/2019 17:53

@SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock thank you. I am in the process of filling out the application form, but need to find and update my CV first. I haven't needed it for a while!

BlockRockinBeats · 04/11/2019 21:46

@mangomama91 Woohoo! Thank you. You can now share your own referral code with your friends to get rewards for yourself.

@justtheonethen Thanks for the Appen invoicing advice. Not yet done the task but have screenshot your instructions! Will I get chucked off the task if I don't do it this week? It is the first one I have been offered.

@TheCanterburyWhales Yes, I applied for Lionbridge and they said they were full at first. Then they contacted me six months later to invite me to do an exam. It all looked so confusing and time consuming and so many have failed it so I decided not to bother.

I am concentrating on Matched Betting, Crisp, eBay selling, and the odd surveys on Prolific, cashback when I buy something via OhMyDosh! (Referral link above in one of my earlier posts), TopCashBack, and Quidco. I need to renew my roadside insurance and am thinking of switching from AA to RAC purely for the cashback. Haha!

I also have the MobileExpression thing running on my phone. I have managed to claim a £20 aMazon voucher so far and am half way to getting another. Not bad for doing nothing other then installing the app!

I also use the Shoppix app to photograph my weekly shopping receipts (both instore and online). You can upload up to 30 per week. You can only upload one per retailer per day. They give you little surveys to do based on where on where you have shopped and what you bought. You get tokens for this. once you reach a certain level of tokens, you can choose a paypal payment or Amazon voucher. So far I have had a £20 paypal payment this year and am nearly ready for another. I only upload a few receipts each day but it takes a few minutes and it soon adds up for very little work. Here is my referral code for anyone interested in joining. It's really simple to do and you will get 200 free tokens to start you off.

Hi

I’m using the Shoppix app to snap receipts, collect tokens and then exchange for rewards 😊

Join me on Shoppix and enter this code D3HSGMWE when you register and we can both get a bonus 200 tokens!

Click here shoppixapp.com/#downloads to download Shoppix
Happy Snapping!

justtheonethen · 04/11/2019 21:50

@BlockRockinBeats I have no idea, I didn't get accepted to nifflewotsit

Frenchdoors1 · 04/11/2019 22:24

@BlockRockinBeats

Is the Mobile expressions app to see which websites you visit? If so, then what if you do PayPal on your phone?

SpinneyHill · 04/11/2019 23:08

To those waiting on cloudworkers check your spam/junk folder I just found several which is odd because the application went to my inbox...

Fizbo · 04/11/2019 23:26

Can I ask anyone doing cloudworkers for some advice on how to speed up? I've seen a few posters saying they send 80 + messages per hour but I'm no way near that more like 45. I type fast and read fast so not sure if I'm doing something wrong. I always read the last couple of messages to keep the conversation flowing and often find myself digging the 'woman' out of a hole left by the previous agent.
I have access to two of the platforms but stick to the original one of 70 characters minimum.

I didn't barely bother last month as I felt my time was better spent on Appen but with Christmas coming I'd like to earn a little extra. Any tips gratefully received.

SpinneyHill · 05/11/2019 03:22

if you have unlimited broadband/data/ Wi-Fi I've had honeygain installed on 2 devices for nearly 8 weeks, it gets mixed reviews but I've had 2 payouts and no issues with it,
I won't pretend to understand the background but it uses the bandwidth you're not using and pays you for it. I've got it set up on an old laptop
and Amazon tablet that I leave on. Others set it up on phones.
About £20-30 a month so far but it does have crummy days

2littleChicks · 05/11/2019 06:45

@Fizbo I've just signed up. They said a minimum of 12 hours a week is that what you're doing!? I'm just waiting for my paperwork. Any tips?

Starlight2004 · 05/11/2019 07:28

I'm considering Cloudworkers too.. can anyone tell me a bit about the training? How long it is? What you have to do?

seizethecuttlefish · 05/11/2019 07:49

Cloudworkers
Training is by Skype message it's about 20 mins and you answer some messages and they sign you off. It's basically a bot so easy peasy.

Getting quicker with messages. Don't overthink it. Quick and general. The longer you're on the easier it is as you are communicating with the same person and don't have to reread constantly. I had the chat started note ready to copy and paste in, when needed. It speeded things up a bit. When I finished up I was doing an easy 80-90 an hour. I couldn't do it watching tv, had to sit down and concentrate on it.

I did it for a few weeks so not an expert but thought I might be able to help a bit.

Still not invoice!

Crede · 05/11/2019 07:50

Training is about 15mins-30mins, they copy and paste a bunch of rules to you, ask you to confirm you have read it, then ask you to login and send 10 messages. That's it. I packed it in not long after training, but the training is simple and quick.

Fizbo · 05/11/2019 08:08

@2littleChicks I did the 12 hours a week the first month and some extra and managed 1900 messages the second month I lost all motivation for it and did 900 messages and only booked a few shifts a week.

I do tend to do it in front of the tv so I'm going to start setting aside quite time to do it.

They email constantly saying they will remove people who don't book or work enough shifts but I don't think that ever happens, the last few days have been insane on there with over 1000 messages in the queue so I would imagine now is a good time to join.
