Well that's it the countdown is on for Christmas (as far as I'm concerned anyway!)
Going to aim for more than £10 a day (I was around it for latter half of last month)

@SNISR have you done deshka yet? I'm about to start but don't feel optimistic after how the other one went

@donut8 the guild lines for elkhorn were pretty straight forward, it's the exam wordings that knock me off and I start doubting myself on everything.

@donut8 I'm reading the guidelines on dekshka. Only a few pages in, but after spending over 2 hours on elkhorn, my brain seems to have already turned to mush so not very optimistic.
I'll pm you after I've read the guidelines and we can work through it together if you like?

Hi all appeneers! I've been invited to take tests for Sitka ad, Stanford and Deshka. To date have failed elkhorn, imbler and cottonwood. I think I'm ok on the theory bits but not good on the examples. Anyone want to hold hands?

@3dogsnorth I failed Sitka ad and Elkhorn.

Need to do Cottonwood and Deshka. I don't mind helping each other out :). Guidelines for cottonwood are not opening for a few of us.

I wonder if there's a way to create a group for all us doing the exams to help each other out, or the people who have passed, can guide us?

I will attempt the deshka after my palfish classes. I will Pm you :)

I'm having laptop problems and am struggling to do enough hours on Appen (typical that I got accepted this week!) Will borrow a laptop and try to have a huge session this weekend. But I wanted to ask if anyone has been kicked off a project for not doing enough hours?

@SNISR @donut8 @3dogsnorth - can I join you with the Deshka test? I’m about a third of the way through and hopefully will finish once the toddler goes for a nap after lunch. Hopefully we can muddle through together!

@3dogsnorth @SNISR I've got Deshka and Sika to do too.
Also did my first bit of Caledon test and have been asked to do another but as for too much wrong! I thought I was really careful as well it just seemed way harder than the rest.

No way! I've just passed Elkhorn, and I honestly didnt understand most of it!

I've made an effort to get registered/accepted for as many things as possible this week.

I've qualified for my first Appen project, Noyo. Just waiting for the instructions to come through, I assume there'll be a further test to do...

Made £7 on QMee since Wednesday. Not exactly a lot but something at least.

Cloudworkers got back to me to invite me to join, I've replied to say I want to proceed and just waiting to hear back.

I'm still on the hunt for more actual freelance roles too, I currently do customer service for an online business and love it but there's not enough work for me to earn much (about £200 a month currently).

Noyo is just a one off task. Clear instructions are given, it's very straightforward.

Just about to plunge into Elkhorn. I'm assuming they are too bothered about making the hours the first week.

Happy to provide any tips by PM but really just used the instructions and guesses to pass.

@viccat Cloudworkers took about a week to get back to me but once I sent my paperwork they got back in touch within the hour.
We can be clueless newbies together I have my "training" on Saturday.

Just failed Deshka. I really took my time too

Appen people help me out - after 5 days today I have finally got access to the srt and did an hour just trying to find my way. I did the dump and exit for remaining tasks but on my user metrics it's showing 0???? Am I doing something wrong? I'm not sure I'm doing anything right and am second guessing everything at the minute :( I'm also worried I will be kicked off as just had first email from them saying 0 hours this week but I've only got access today
