Well that's it the countdown is on for Christmas (as far as I'm concerned anyway!)
Going to aim for more than £10 a day (I was around it for latter half of last month)

Just wish Appen would give me a nice juicy project

@Buster27 I failed Forester too. Perhaps I should read the guidelines first. Using US spelling and typing numbers in full, that's where I've failed. Christ and I'm Scottish too but it was a very English man speaking in the test!

Yay I have passed Elkhorn and Stanford this evening, Stanford was shockingly hard! Do we think we will only be allocated one though? I was going to try to do all three on top of my full time day job, sleep is for the weak! Although I will be very grateful just to be able to do one, the extra money will be great.

@girlicorne I've literally just failed the Stanford one. So annoyed. Next time
I'll study harder!

@alwayscauseastir it was awful I spent hours on it and was absolutely amazed I passed it as it was so hard! Have you been invited to do any of the others as they are nicer!

@Buster27 passed the same ones but I felt the opposite, I found Elkhorn much harder! I'm just relieved I managed to pass them. I am still hoping for Crisp to come along but am pleased that Appen is starting to go in the right direction. Fingers crossed it proves to be fruitful for all of us!

@girlicorne in my school days, I just had to read something once and I knew it. That method clearly doesn't work anymore . And no, that's the only one I've been sent so far...so I'm kicking myself.

Just failed Elkhorn. Not sure I should bother with Imbler, the guidelines are huge and I just wasted ages on Elkhorn, do I really want to waste more time?

Same dilemma for me @anxiouswaiting I'll have a look at it tomorrow but I don't feel hopeful about it

I've woke to Elkhorn logins and conformations we can only do that one at the minute if we also passed imbler, porter or the grasshopper one as Elkhorn require extra hours right now so is a priority. They all seem similar though from what I've seen of them.

I've woken up to an email inviting me to do the cottonwood test. Going to give myself a lot more time and do that when I'm awake later on@)!

Been paid for one of the neevo recording tasks - one to go

The official Appen invite for my 20-hour project came along with the tool invite which unusually turned up in my spam box. I'm really glad you can work a minimum 10 hours if you need to. (I'm guessing if it's every week it might be a problem!)

Anyone on the 20 hour projects PLEASE read the NDA pdf. We are not allowed to mention client names, project names or tool names, and a few other things too. It does give tips on what we can say to relatives or put on your CVs though.

For how long do you use it and maybe you know much it's possible to earn?
I was thinking if with Honeygain I earn about 30pounds and I will earn 20 with this, in general it would be a great amount of passive monthly income. I could treat myself I little bit more

@rhij86 same here! Have been paid for one of the speaking tasks and had an invite to cottonwood. Not feeling very confident about it if the last two are anything to go by. Let me know how you get on 🤞

I've also had a cottonwood invite, still feeling a bit deflated about Elkhorn though so will can the guidelines later and decide whether it is worth a shot or whether my time is better spent elsewhere.

I read through the guidelines and also referred back to them during the test. I took my time a lot more than I did with the other 2 (but I did do the other 2 at 6am with a cryinb baby vs 8am today in the office with a cuppa!)

I do think this one was a bit easier.

@2littleChicks I found Cloudworker's response time varied. When I told them I wanted to go ahead they replied within a couple of days advising me that my accuracy and attention to detail was being monitored from this point, and to complete and return the attached documents. Somewhat ironic that there was nothing attached! I replied saying there were no attachments and this time they took nearly 2 weeks to get back to me. I'd gotten onto Crisp by the time they got back in touch so I didn't end up taking it any further.

I've been invited to do the test for another 20 hour project this morning so will probably take a look at that tonight.

Anyone else tried this one yet?

I just got accepted onto Appen! Can anyone give me an idea of what sort of projects they have? Do I need to buy a headset and microphone?
Is it a full time job that I have to declare?

Oh I've just read in the documents I need a pc or mac, will a laptop do?

@Niyamamama a laptop will be fine :) I have used a headset with one job i did but you can just as easily use the laptop speakers if needed.

@TheLolaMontez good luck with Deshka. Ive not got that one. Hope you get on okay 🤞
