justtheonethen I haven't had much luck with Appen anyway. I managed to bill them just under $28 for Bane, which was great. But the work for that dried up within 12 hours, I just happened to be online when it dropped at nearly 11pm one evening. And given my confusion overNiffle, I'm not prepared to outright give them much of my time.

justtheonethen · 07/11/2019 12:44

@CatHopeful don't blame you!

toastytea · 07/11/2019 12:53

@justtheonethen thanks. Looks like that's referring to the test, reading guidelines etc. Will wait and see.

MrsWombat · 07/11/2019 12:53

The 20 hour project I'm on doesn't mention 3-5 hours of unpaid training in the project notes. Hopefully that's just a standard line they stick on everything to cover themselves as the test is unpaid? I don't get my log ins for another 24-48 hours so won't know for sure until then.

Niyamamama · 07/11/2019 13:03

Wooo it's changed to paid! Grin

Thank you to all who replied. There's a great project on clickworker right now where you go and take photos of shampoo in supermarkets. You can do as many supermarkets as you like for 10 euro a go so if you drive that's an easy 100 euro for a mornings work!

Wolfff · 07/11/2019 13:10

Just passed Elkhorn. As others say take your time (about an hour -30 questions) and keep referring back to the notes, as some are not intuitive.

TheCanterburyWhales · 07/11/2019 13:32

shurtle- thanks for the info on Honeygain, it sounds similar to Gener8 in that it sits there doing its thing in the background. Gener8 puts specific ads on websites (or sth) On MN it's always a mountain and a funny faced pug.
Well, my excitement about Arrow Porter was short-lived...task was there for me, went to deal with boiler man, went back and it says no tasks available.
Me and Appen eh? It's destiny.

rhij86 · 07/11/2019 13:42

@Niyamamama do you know if you can do more than one of each store - for example I have 2x aldi, 2x lidl, 2x asda and 3x tesco in close proximity - could I do them all?

@Wolfff well done! Crossing fingers for more tests to come through to me tonight, but not holding my breath

MoreMoneyPlease · 07/11/2019 13:43

@Niyamamama I can't see that job on clickworker??! Sounds great. Instead, I've just done one on there for 20p...Grin

MoreMoneyPlease · 07/11/2019 14:30

Looks like the clickworker supermarket one is for android only.

Niyamamama · 07/11/2019 14:32

Here's a screenshot of the job.

rhij86 yes I think so, you have to enter the address of each store and mark the geographical location so as long as it hasn't already been done (they give you a list to check) it should be fine

Niyamamama · 07/11/2019 14:34

Ahhh that could be why, I have an android but no car to hit up all the supermarkets! 🤷‍♀️

Niyamamama · 07/11/2019 14:35

You can visit boots and superdrug too

rhij86 · 07/11/2019 14:38

@Niyamamama thanks, DH is picking me up from the train station after work and we're going to hit the shops before we go home Grin

SNISR · 07/11/2019 15:12

Is anyone on project YUKON on appen? I've been invited to take the qualification test, any help or guidance will be much appreciated 😊

anxiouswaiting · 07/11/2019 15:35

@SNISR I was invited, there is A LOT of reading and its very complicated. Schedule your exam for a week when you don't have much on.

I failed twice and didn't even bother when they offered me another attempt.

People do pass, just not me haha

rhij86 · 07/11/2019 15:37

@SNISR I've not even seen that one!

3dogsnorth · 07/11/2019 16:58

Well I've failed both Elkhorn and Imbler. I thought I took my time and read the guidelines and referred to notes as I went, obviously not well enough. Just got Cottonwood to do. Anyone got any tips on how to pass?

Wolfff · 07/11/2019 17:05

What I did was read the instructions through three times. When going through the test. I read the question and each potential answer carefully. Also for each question I searched for keywords in the document and read each potential answer before selecting one. If it was between two (happened a few times) I chose the one I thought was more in line with the guidelines. Take your time even if you spend a few minutes on each one. Almost all of mine had something similar or fairly similar in the guidelines. I did guess several, but it was an educated guess.

TheLolaMontez · 07/11/2019 17:05

Just failed Elkhorn Grin shock! I might try the other tomorrow, feeling a bit tired after all that for nothing!

peg90 · 07/11/2019 17:06

I've also downloaded featurepoints where you download apps to make points and earn money. The apps can be deleted right after! Referral link featu.re/FAA7BE

rhij86 · 07/11/2019 17:28

@obviouslymarvellous SRT is the tool I use for Uolo too. It took 12-24hrs to come through for that but it went into my spam so didn't realise for ages!
Well done :)

anxiouswaiting · 07/11/2019 17:51

I've been invited to take exam for Elkhorn and Imbler. One is 48 pages of guidelines. I can see some exam failures heading my way!
