Let's top up our bank balances for Christmas! It's the October earn £10 a day thread

Saw a few newcomers place marking on the previous thread, so a big welcome to them Smile

Christmas is just around the corner, and I'm sure we all could do with the extra earnings to pay for Christmas and keep us out of the January slump.

I'll copy and paste the first post of the previous thread as soon as I'm at a computer.

Has anyone got any targets in mind? I'm aiming for £20 a day, then hopefully £200 or so of 'extras'.

@GachaBread 3am?! That's ridiculous! I'm waiting for my training with them too - I definitely won't be doing that at 3am!

GachaBread · 09/10/2019 14:07

Found something that could be a winner. Please Google the The Virtual Call Centre Network. They are looking for customer service/admin staff to work from home. Pay is between 8/9 per hour. I applied ages ago so am unable to give you guys a link but they did email me back this week. I am based in the Midlands so unsure whether this is just for the Midlands or whether it's UK wide. I am unsure whether I will proceed as I got lucky on the gee gees the other day and will be comfortable to sit on my ass a bit more longer doing sweet eff all lol.

CatHopeful · 09/10/2019 14:09

I decided to apply for Peppermint and my application is 'in process'.

Given that nothing is confirmed at all on Appen yet I also applied for Bane Curation - I've had an acceptance email straight away, but I've no idea where I 'go' or what to do for work on that. Has it started yet?

CatHopeful · 09/10/2019 14:12

My Bane Curation acceptance email says:

Please see the project home page on the connect.appen.com website for additional information about the project.

Except I can't find the project home page anywhere, for any project at all!

MrsWombat · 09/10/2019 14:24

@CatHopeful If you go to the All Projects tab it should be listed on there with a blue WORK THIS button. There are a few more details there but I think they are going to email us when there is work for us to do. We need a log in which generally takes a few days to sort it.

I've not had any more details for NissanWaffle yet. Hopefully soon!

rhij86 · 09/10/2019 14:24

@CatHopeful for me, I log into appen, click All projects in the blue bar at the top, and select 'view all projects I'm qualified for'

Bane Curation is listed there, if I click 'work this' then the first page (tasks) says Updates 10/8/2019: Work will be available soon for this project! Work is based on locale and you will receive an email notification with more information and job link access. Also check this project page regularly for updates and further information. Thank you!
and the second page (guidelines/instructions) gives a bit of waffle about what will be expected

Yay, i got my first payout from Swagbucks - £5 amazon gift card was the best deal for me, you need more points for the equivalent in cash.

I like that its varied and not just surveys. Was quite fun playing the Swago game but then i'm weird!

www.swagbucks.com/refer/RPSLSpock if anyone is interested.

Does anyone know if 2 members of the same household can work for Appen? My sons at uni but this is his main address still. He’s struggling to get a part time job as he’s got a disability but thought this might be suitable.

I don’t want to get into trouble though as I’m on truckee.

CatHopeful · 09/10/2019 14:39

@MrsWombat @rhij86 thank you, thank you. Got it!

Wolfff · 09/10/2019 14:53

@1disneyfanatic

No you definitely can’t have more than one Appen per household. It specifically states that.

Can you son use a different postal address and access it from his college IP address?

Toitoitoi · 09/10/2019 15:04

Just joining thread. Just past the Crisp test and now wondering if 10-15 hrs is too low on availability?

1disneyfanatic · 09/10/2019 15:10

Thanks @Wolfff I thought that might be the case but couldn’t find it in FAQ on the site. I don’t want to get into any trouble and it would mean he couldn’t work when he’s home during the holidays.

Hopefully he’ll manage to get something soon.

juicy0 · 09/10/2019 15:19

Can anyone help please? I signed up to clickworker and completed my profile but I understand you can't start working without assessments. However, when I go to the assessment section it says there are none available ?

PiggyPokkyFool · 09/10/2019 15:32

Saw someone mention swagbucks up there - I joined 2 months ago and you get a 300SB bonus when you earn 300 points in the first 30 days. I managed it in 3 days. The friend who recommended me got 300 too.

I have done loads of online surveys over the years and these are definitely my favourite. You get loads of tops up at the end of the month for all the days you hit your daily goal and then they give you extra points when you hit points levels called Swag Ups. I have earned £185 in 2 months.

SNISR · 09/10/2019 15:39

@GachaBread Just applied for virtual call centre thank you

DontCallMeDarling · 09/10/2019 15:46

@juicy0

Are there any jobs listed? I joined clickworkers many years ago and I think in that time, I've only ever done about 2 or 3 assessments. They just pop up every now and again. And I've only ever seen a few jobs that have ever mentioned that I am allowed to do them because I passed some assessment.

Frenchdoors1 · 09/10/2019 16:20

On the mystery shoppers.
Do they send you jobs specific to your area, and to travel to within a reasonable distance?
I don't fancy the idea of taking somebodys picture or recording/videoing someone surely you've been sussed out if someone sees you!!

rhij86 · 09/10/2019 16:21

@frenchdoors1 when you sign up you put in your postcode and how far you would be willing to travel, then they filter the jobs to that area

Frenchdoors1 · 09/10/2019 16:33

@rhij86
Thank you.
But what about videoing people and taking their photo?

Wolfff · 09/10/2019 16:34

@1disneyfanatic

You might be able to use a VPN to ensure the IP address is different? Perhaps your son could research if that is an option without costing too much.

Frenchdoors1 · 09/10/2019 16:36

@MrsWombat
Haha @ NissanWaffle

Moremoneyplease · 09/10/2019 16:36

@Frenchdoors1 I had to take some photos of the charity stand and general area yesterday which was ok. But taking a picture of the fundraiser was quite tricky and I had to pretend to be looking up my bank details on my phone so I could take the photo!

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 09/10/2019 16:48

Right I have just tried and tested a new Bingo website called MrQ. You get 10 free spins when you use my link and if you deposit £10. You also get free Bingo for 24 hours. You do not have to spend the £10 and can withdraw it when you withdraw any winnings (min£10). I've won £3 on free spins just 24 hours of free bingo (at certain times) to go!

mrq.com/invited/RPSLSpock

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 09/10/2019 16:49

If you use the code triple when you deposit you get 30 spins instead of 10.

Frenchdoors1 · 09/10/2019 17:00

@Moremoneyplease

Aaaaarrrgghhhh! Shock
