31, full time salary is £37k (£32k as I'm reduced hours). Highest form of education is a Chartered Institute of Marketing diploma, but it's not relevant to my career. I also have a BA Hons degree.

someoneontheinterweb · 15/06/2019 22:47

33, degree, £30k. NHS, and chose my degree knowing that I’d be earning this much in this job, so not unhappy with it.

I wouldn't trust a constantly hacked site with such info, and threads like this will only attract liars and smugs so not even a true representation of, well, anything!

PinkSpring · 16/06/2019 18:46

37k age 33. I have a degree and a teaching qualification. This is my salary as a middle leader and I regret going into a low paying profession.

Starrynights86 · 17/06/2019 06:05

30, masters degree, 110k

CountFosco · 17/06/2019 06:24

I was interested, another posters salary is £300k, what would that look like in the bank at the end of each month?! Well £25k apparently, more than my annual income. But apparently also s/he pays just under £130k in tax!!! Why would you???!!!

Probably she's better at maths than you. Even with your figures her take home pay is £170kpa after tax. But there will be less tax paid because of the way tax banding works (only pay 40% on pay over £50k), and on a good salary you can throw lots into a pension etc to reduce your tax burden further.

Yeahyeahyeahyeeeeah · 17/06/2019 06:36

on a good salary you can throw lots into a pension etc to reduce your tax burden further well not if you earn over £210k you can’t!

Staggering some of the amounts on here! I am 51 and work part time, term time only in an education support role. I have an MA, I earn about £30,000

OldGrinch · 22/06/2019 10:27

I thought that was quite reasonable for part time but now feeling like a pauper! Grin
