Changing a username doesnt help - the recent data breach allowed users to see other people's email addresses and account details. There have been other cyber attacks too...

Youngandfree · 14/06/2019 12:12

Age 34, 40k, degree and PGCE

Picklemuncher123 · 14/06/2019 15:44

for all the worriers - I am genuinely just a curious cat and probably just being nosey.. Theghosttrain - Dont worry I am not a scammer ( not clever enough for that )

a 28 y/o mum with a curious mind.

AngelinaNeurosurgeon · 14/06/2019 16:51

I don't think you're a scammer OP but I'm surprised at how willingly people are putting their personal info on here

TixieLix · 14/06/2019 17:09

nelsonmuntzslingshot · 14/06/2019 18:26

Genuinely what can people do with the information on here? I work in the public sector my salary scale is public.

serensiren · 14/06/2019 19:24

34, 82k, GCSE's

Betty1064 · 14/06/2019 19:27

Atalune · 14/06/2019 19:29

6 figures.... no qualifications.

MrsSiba · 14/06/2019 19:31

41, degree and post degree professional qualifications - £42k but would be about 47k if ft.

Lucky young things on here earning about that but 20 years younger than me 🍀

User1053051066 · 14/06/2019 19:48

I agree with nelson- many salaries are public info, mine Is, and what is anyone going to do with that anyway?
I'm 42, work 28hrs, earn £12k, have the equivalent of GCSEs. Dh is 48 earns 46k and has 3 O-grades.

I was interested, another posters salary is £300k, what would that look like in the bank at the end of each month?! Well £25k apparently, more than my annual income. But apparently also s/he pays just under £130k in tax!!! Why would you???!!!

tuttifritti · 14/06/2019 19:51

40, around £100k prorata (work part time). Degree educated

foxtong · 14/06/2019 19:54

35, £50,000, masters degree

Lauren83 · 14/06/2019 19:56

35, 30k, failed GCSEs

bebeboeuf · 14/06/2019 22:08

I’m surprised with the salary’s. Exepected some with degrees to be higher but I guess that shows the inequality with salaries between men and women and how roading children as primary parent affects earnings.

I didn’t go to University but always had in my head that my salary aim was to get to £50k due to some random article I read years ago about it being a sweet spot between good earnings but not being too high stress or long hours.

I kind of laugh about that now as it’s not nessecarily stressful but hours can certainly add up occasionally

mycatismeowican · 15/06/2019 00:44

Perhaps I'm just paranoid but I do find it strange than mnhq have left this thread up , especially as the site has a tendency to get hacked .

mycatismeowican · 15/06/2019 00:48

@Picklemuncher123 yes and I am a 21 year old fabulously healthy tanned , toned, slim blonde vegan who has a beautiful toddler who loves to eat kale and absolutely hates sweeties........🙄

£12k foundation degree age 40!

SpideyMom · 15/06/2019 20:23

I find this post quite refreshing.

There was a similar one a few weeks back where I posted and I earned the lowest by a mile (just under 14k). It made me feel like I'd failed as everyone else was posting in excess of 40k, 50k, 80k and even 150k salaries. That thread seem to attract high earners only.

This thread seems to have attracted a good range of earners and circumstances, so I no longer feel like I've gone wrong.

Oh, and I'm 33, a lone parent , under 14k and 30 hours a week around my school age DS. I used to earn more, in excess of 40k, but I wouldn't want to return to that kind of work again. I value my time with my DS too much and have realised money isn't everything. Time is

CookieDoughKid · 15/06/2019 22:20

40, Bsc (2:2)
Full time working mum.
Base £100k. Add shares, company pension, cash car, all commute costs paid and wfh/flexi then total £180k per annum.

CookieDoughKid · 15/06/2019 22:24

But I am in a bubble so lowest paid salary in my company as a grad is £40k so reaching £100k average by age 29 or 30 is standard in my line of work (city based).
