I can't believe this has been going for nearly half a year!

As always, everyone is welcome to join us in earning an extra £10 a day Smile

There's hundreds of ways to manage this, but here is a list of some of the sites that are discussed frequently, and know caused some confusion for our new joiners last time.

Appen - a contracting website that offers a wide variety of work from social media evaluation, to voice based work. Please do not sign up to the Appen site you google, use this link, or you won't register correctly and you'll waste time waiting for projects that won't come your way.

https://connect.appen.com/qrp/public/jobs?uref=c48139fc0a25bae5d07c634d0a043f5b

(Full disclosure, that's my referral code and I get $25 if you are accepted and work for Appen for 150 hours, if anyone else would like to post their referral code feel free)

Axie Infinity - A crypto currency based game, the idea being that you breed 'creatures' battle them, then sell them on for profit to other gamers. Money can also be made through people renting land from you, or using your Axie to breed with theirs.

Leapforce - was Leapforce, now Appen.

Cloudworkers - Saucy chat site that pays per message.

Crisp - online website moderation, more information can be found here - https://survey.crispthinking.com/risk-analyst. There may also be references to the dashboard, Klipfolio and atlassian and slack, which are all tools used by crisp.

LionBridge - similar to Appen.

So, you get to do the one hour practise first on versal? Then the 30 minutes test is separate? Are they similar?

Read through all stuff, took ages, so haven't done the hour long practise yet!

BlackCatFan · 27/06/2019 09:39

I'm doing the 30 minute Crisp test today, going to go through the Versal modules again before I start, if it will let me. Good luck to everyone waiting on their results. Grin

m00rfarm · 27/06/2019 09:42

I did not get a one hour practice - just did all the quizzes etc on the courses. Maybe I missed out on something :( Went through the quizzes several times first then decided just to go for it.

Mamaslave18 · 27/06/2019 09:43

Is Fletcher showing on anybody's Appen invoices yet? I did a one off survey around the same time and that has appeared but not my Fletcher job.

CatHopeful · 27/06/2019 09:54

I've worked through the modules on Versal for Crisp training - I didn't get a one hour test either.

I've emailed to say I'm ready for the final 30 minute test, but I'm nervous because I'm not sure I am ready :/ Any words of wisdom for that final test from those who've done it?

reddA · 27/06/2019 10:02

@Otterses It's brilliant sunshine here - I am doomed
Good luck on the tests all - fingers crossed for you. Bit shitty about the unfair waiting list though, no offence to those who have got through as it's brilliant just seems a bit unfair to those who have been waiting longer.
I need to average £33 per day to hit the £1k by the end of the month, it's dead at the moment so hopefully it will pick up a bit - can anyone call me in from the garden if there's a surge? We need a Whatsapp surge group
Grin Wink

whatthewhatthewhat · 27/06/2019 10:11

Tax and NI very depressing. So at £40 a day, that's £1200 a month. Minus £336 tax and NI, which only leaves £864!

Is four hours a day possible on Crisp? Is there enough work?

reddA · 27/06/2019 10:22

Isn't the tax free personal allowance £12500 though? The amount of work on Crisp fluctuates, if you are able to hop on and off throughout the day it's better otherwise if you set yourself a 4 hour specific time and it was quiet you could be sat waiting for content and not earning a lot. It's not necessarily waiting for surges but content coming through at a fast rate.

reddA · 27/06/2019 10:26

Just checked and tax on £1200 is £32

Otterses · 27/06/2019 10:31

@whatthewhatthewhat

It's really varies. The content I find is more consistent at night and in the early hours of the morning. You're paid per item, so sometimes you may put in an hour, but not get an hours worth of work if you see what I mean.

@reddA Join me on my all nighter! I'm off to get an energy drink later and snacks to keep me going. I really want to hit £600 this month on Crisp. I need £32 a day funnily enough to hit that on there.

However it's 28 degrees on Saturday 😂 and beautiful weather all weekend. So I'm probably buggered too.

Also going to attempt a sneaky second attempt at football index later Wink

@TheLolaMontez oh I'm an awful gardener. I'm still very jealous of your HMRC refund. I'm waiting on mine. But we don't appear to be getting post on any day other than Tuesdays Confused

No hour long practice here either 🤷🏼‍♀️

The test isn't hard. Just read each twice and pick everything relevant.

justtheonethen · 27/06/2019 10:53

Wish crisp was busier. I need to make £31 a day to get to £1000

justtheonethen · 27/06/2019 10:55

@reddA a WhatsApp surge group is a great idea 🤣. The weather is so nice so I'm buggered for meeting my target anyway

TheLolaMontez · 27/06/2019 11:23

It's a good job it arrived when it did @Otterses if it hadn't we would have been screwed this month Confused at least when I'm up and running with the cloudworker stuff I'll have something that I can dip in and out of (hopefully). Keeping everything crossed for a crisp email soooooooon!

Otterses · 27/06/2019 11:34

@TheLolaMontez

It is incredibly stressful, it's quite easy to see how a lot of self employed people end up a bit addicted to working. It's really stressful not having a consistent or reliable income.

My rebate would be incredibly welcome Grin

m00rfarm · 27/06/2019 11:49

I am now thinking I rushed the Crisp 30 minute test and did not do it as well as I should :( Is it possible to retake the 30 minute test do you know?

TheLolaMontez · 27/06/2019 12:05

I already feel a bit addicted to it @Otterses Confused I'm just so conscious of it and want to be doing everything I can at all times.
Not done anything so far today though, took baby to playgroup for a couple of hours this morning, just got back and she's now napping. Ive cleaned out our resident bird (who is doing well - he keeps pecking me) Hmm and now eating biscuits, off to check emails now

SorryDidISayThatOutLoud · 27/06/2019 12:33

HOORAY!!!! I have been accepted by Crisp! It said I made two errors and I am amazed at that since I thought it was a zillion. @m00rfarm I wouldn't worry now, fingers crossed for you :)

CatHopeful · 27/06/2019 12:35

Well done @SorryDidISayThatOutLoud ! How long was it between taking the final test and them getting back to you with the results?

BlackCatFan · 27/06/2019 12:49

Just finished the Crisp test, don't think I passed.

BlackCatFan · 27/06/2019 12:50

@SorryDidISayThatOutLoud Well done!

m00rfarm · 27/06/2019 12:52

@SorryDidISayThatOutLoud That’s fantastic! Well done! I have got loads wrong. I know 😥😥

whatthewhatthewhat · 27/06/2019 13:00

Any tips for the test???

whatthewhatthewhat · 27/06/2019 13:21

Also, how long between emailing them and getting to do the test?

BlackCatFan · 27/06/2019 13:27

They replied to me the following day @whatthewhatthewhat inviting me to do the test (after reading through the modules).

I don't have many tips other than set an alarm or use a stopwatch for your 30 mins as it doesn't tell you when the time is up. And work quickly i suppose - you're supposed to complete 60 questions in the 30 mins.... pretty sure I didn't do 60 Confused
