I can't believe this has been going for nearly half a year!

As always, everyone is welcome to join us in earning an extra £10 a day Smile

There's hundreds of ways to manage this, but here is a list of some of the sites that are discussed frequently, and know caused some confusion for our new joiners last time.

Appen - a contracting website that offers a wide variety of work from social media evaluation, to voice based work. Please do not sign up to the Appen site you google, use this link, or you won't register correctly and you'll waste time waiting for projects that won't come your way.

https://connect.appen.com/qrp/public/jobs?uref=c48139fc0a25bae5d07c634d0a043f5b

(Full disclosure, that's my referral code and I get $25 if you are accepted and work for Appen for 150 hours, if anyone else would like to post their referral code feel free)

Axie Infinity - A crypto currency based game, the idea being that you breed 'creatures' battle them, then sell them on for profit to other gamers. Money can also be made through people renting land from you, or using your Axie to breed with theirs.

Leapforce - was Leapforce, now Appen.

Cloudworkers - Saucy chat site that pays per message.

Crisp - online website moderation, more information can be found here - https://survey.crispthinking.com/risk-analyst. There may also be references to the dashboard, Klipfolio and atlassian and slack, which are all tools used by crisp.

LionBridge - similar to Appen.

Oh and also I'm on the Crisp waiting list, like lots of others!

Otterses · 02/06/2019 09:20

DS made £5 today 😂

My parents neighbours heard him laughing and gave him £5. He's considering joining the challenge next year if he can keep up this momentum.

Crisp surge this morning was Shock I couldn't sleep around 4, so got up and did 40 minutes. Annoyed I can't do any this morning, I'm going to try to work in the car on the drive home.

How does everyone else do crisp, I'm only able to do via my laptop. It would be better if I could do it via tablet.

BeeMyBaby · 02/06/2019 12:10

I'm pretty sure you are specifically prohibited from using tablets to do Crisp. I use a desktop.

justtheonethen · 02/06/2019 12:25

Crisp is only on laptop/desktop

justtheonethen · 02/06/2019 12:28

@Otterses good for him!

AdaShelby · 02/06/2019 12:36

What was the surge Ottersea? I've not seen more than 1.7

fishandchops · 02/06/2019 12:48

@justtheonethen and @BeeMyBaby thanks for that, it would be useful if I could take my laptop everywhere with me but it's a big one

anxiouswaiting · 02/06/2019 13:32

Anyone been invited to the Appen voice rating project? I have just had the guidelines and it looks simple enough but they are saying it should take 2.7 hours ( so will be longer!l and pays $32 which doesn'r seem like much, not sure it is worth it.

reddA · 02/06/2019 14:35

@anxiouswaiting I got the invite too - really hoping it's not another one that's massively underestimated timewise! I'm trying to crack on with Crisp to make up for slacking last month Blush

WheelyCote · 02/06/2019 15:09

Hete you all are. Back from sunny scotland. A bit weary but worth it.

Going to do a quick skip run before they shut then flounce in front of the tv and catch up with the thread.

Hope everyones good!

Hi all, i only joined a couple of weeks ago so haven't earned much yet. Mostly doing captioning work on Rev at the moment, i have applied for other transcription companies but not hear back yet.
Also passed the Crisp test but haven't heard back.
A little bit from prolific too.
Hoping it picks up this month.

Otterses · 02/06/2019 19:56

Weeeeee another 1.5 surge Grin I bet next Sunday hits 2.0 with the Handmaids Tale starting again.

Oh bugger 😂 by the time I typed that crisp went down!

reddA · 02/06/2019 19:57

@Otterses - you broke crisp!! haha - it's been fine all day :)

Otterses · 02/06/2019 19:58

😂 story of my bloody life @reddA

£14 on Profilic today though! I'm stunned.

reddA · 02/06/2019 20:13

Wow that's great - especially for a weekend! I'm so glad Crisp is back up to decent queues again, I was a bit worried as I'd not seen it so quiet and this is my main earner! I expect it will be busy later with BGT! I had a really graphic one earlier, was not pleasant.

Welcome back @WheelyCote - we moved house whilst you were away (not on purpose - honest!! Wink )

Otterses · 02/06/2019 20:31

@reddA 😂 okay ... I broke crisp.

I think there's so much happening over the next few weeks it should be manic! The queue reached 11000+ around 4am! Between love island, the handmaids tale and TM stepping down...

I'm sorry you had a nasty one Sad

reddA · 02/06/2019 20:45

Wow 11000 that's crazy! I've earnt over £100 in the last 2 days on Crisp so I'm really chuffed, it's been crap weather here and I've fallen out with exDP (who I live next door to) so I've been able to get on in peace and quiet, usually I quit work early and sit in the sun with him - he's a bad influence and I'm much more productive on my own Grin

AdaShelby · 02/06/2019 21:38

Anyone else waiting for crisp to fix itself?

PestAround · 02/06/2019 21:52

How long does it take to hear if you're in on crisp? I got the email to say I'd got 20/20 and am on the waiting list, but how long does the it take to actually get in and start earning?

I'm an excited about this thread, I now have a million new apps on my phone to tap away at when I have a spare minute

anxiouswaiting · 02/06/2019 21:56

@reddA are you giving it a go? I am wary after the speak ones and don't want to end up spending hours for little money again.

Sounds like Crisp is making you all lots of money, I hope my wait isn't too long to get on to it!

Otterses · 02/06/2019 21:57

@PestAround it depends on when they start recruiting again - they take applications but don't always have vacancies straight away I'm afraid.

@AdaShelby I've given up this evening! I'm going to pop into slack around 4am, see if it fixed.

OP posts:
PestAround · 02/06/2019 22:18

@Otterses thanks, I guess I'll just keep my eye out. I've earned £5 today on Lifepoints, well chuffed.

reddA · 02/06/2019 22:20

@anxiouswaiting I don't know, I've got 3 days and started reading through the guidelines today but I wanted to go on crisp while there were surges so stopped reading, if it goes quiet on crisp in the next couple of days I'll give it ago but I just don't trust them - I did a speech thing before and they didn't pay me. I've done something similar with speech quality on clickworker and it was fine.

@Otterses you're hardcore - there is only one 4 O'Clock in my day Grin
