I can't believe this has been going for nearly half a year!

As always, everyone is welcome to join us in earning an extra £10 a day Smile

There's hundreds of ways to manage this, but here is a list of some of the sites that are discussed frequently, and know caused some confusion for our new joiners last time.

Appen - a contracting website that offers a wide variety of work from social media evaluation, to voice based work. Please do not sign up to the Appen site you google, use this link, or you won't register correctly and you'll waste time waiting for projects that won't come your way.

https://connect.appen.com/qrp/public/jobs?uref=c48139fc0a25bae5d07c634d0a043f5b

(Full disclosure, that's my referral code and I get $25 if you are accepted and work for Appen for 150 hours, if anyone else would like to post their referral code feel free)

Axie Infinity - A crypto currency based game, the idea being that you breed 'creatures' battle them, then sell them on for profit to other gamers. Money can also be made through people renting land from you, or using your Axie to breed with theirs.

Leapforce - was Leapforce, now Appen.

Cloudworkers - Saucy chat site that pays per message.

Crisp - online website moderation, more information can be found here - https://survey.crispthinking.com/risk-analyst. There may also be references to the dashboard, Klipfolio and atlassian and slack, which are all tools used by crisp.

LionBridge - similar to Appen.

@Tulipsaremyfavouriteflower you can do as much or as little as you like. It's very easy. Basically just what you did for the test.

whatthewhatthewhat · 22/06/2019 16:49

Just been accepted by Cloudworkers! What is the training like? Do you have to talk to someone online or on the phone?

How reliable are they for wages? Better to wait for Crisp or go ahead with this?

Thanks

Trying to focus on the guidelines for Yukon this evening, there is just so much to it, not very optimistic about passing the exam!

On the plus side the competition dress is being replaced and I won a posh water bottle yesterday on a Freebie Friday Facebook competition and I have earned about £350 so far this month between Appen and a research diary so I'm well on track for £10 a day :)

lannister · 22/06/2019 17:50

Thanks @Otterses for the football index offer. Signed up via TCB as per instructions in previous posts. Deposited and wagered £25 on some players but never received any bonus. TCB was saying £21 cash back & only needed to wager £10. Did i do something wrong?

Blessthekids · 22/06/2019 17:59

I finished that blasted speech project in the wee hours on Thursday, it was like an endurance test, incredibly painful and I really felt I deserved a medal of some sort for taking part!

I'm still pretty much waiting for everything so feel pretty disheartened but that also might just be tiredness talking. Am reading through guidelines for a different transcribing firm and will try the exam at some point this weekend.

Otterses · 22/06/2019 18:28

@lannister has it been a couple of days? If so email and request the £50 bonus Smile

Is this basically a rejection? What could I have done wrong? It is worth applying to Appen again?

lannister · 22/06/2019 18:58

@Otterses oh not 2 days yet just signed up yesterday. Will leave it till monday then check. Thanks.
@whatthewhatthewhat got the exact same message when I applied to Appen. I took it as a rejection as it was over a month agoSad

reddA · 22/06/2019 19:14

The sun put pay to work today again - I need to adjust my sleep pattern I think and get up at 5am - I started this month so well too!! Blush

Otterses · 22/06/2019 19:21

@lannister and @whatthewhatthewhat it's standard I'm afraid for any project you apply for. It's not rejection, more of a 'watch this space' sort of thing.

Getting accepted into a project has zero rhyme or reason. You're kind of on a waiting list, if there's space, you may be contacted; if not, you need to wait for someone to be booted off the project Smile don't lose hope, apply for any project that comes your way.

whatthewhatthewhat · 22/06/2019 19:22

I can't even see the projects though?

Otterses · 22/06/2019 19:26

@reddA I really would! Content is fab in the early mornings from around 5am, not always a surge, but there's no real lagging as no one is working

You've done fantastically this month, so don't be hard on yourself.

We all just need one more big push next week !

@whatthewhatthewhat ahhh, have you just sent your CV etc. Off to them?

OP posts:
whatthewhatthewhat · 22/06/2019 20:01

@Otterses what do you mean? I signed up about a week age but only get as far as that page.

Toothlessismyspiritanimal · 22/06/2019 20:14

Fletcher is DONE! Fucking hooray! 871 recordings, each one a variation of the other. 'Hey Portal' can toddle off and get me my $75 Grin

Otterses · 22/06/2019 20:50

@whatthewhatthewhat are you on Appen global or Appen connect?

Appen connect, you register that you want to become an agent, upload a CV, etc. Then if you hear back you have the opportunity to apply for projects within that platform, if that makes sense?

OP posts:
Blessthekids · 22/06/2019 22:06

@Toothlessismyspiritanimal Well done, I stayed up Thursday night to finish it then got email saying it was extended for another week the next day! I'm so relieved it's finished. Never again though 😂

Toothlessismyspiritanimal · 23/06/2019 08:01

Blessthekids totally agree - never would have finished if it weren't for then additional bonus!

0htooooodles · 23/06/2019 08:44

Crisp people - has your dashboard updated for yesterday?

justtheonethen · 23/06/2019 09:06

@0htooooodles no not yet

mydogisthebest · 23/06/2019 09:44

Still getting emails from appen about that voice recording job. I am just ignoring them. As much as I need the money I just can't face doing that job.

I filled in the form to get paid through paypal/payoneer with appen. There is no mention of a test but don't I have to do one in order to start work?

margaritasbythesea · 23/06/2019 09:55

Me too mydogisthebestdog

reddA · 23/06/2019 14:56

Just failed Java which is annoying as I thought I'd done okay Confused Cloudy here today and due storms later so hopefully I'll get some Crisp done (as long as I don't get a headache from the storms!!) Hope everyone is having a peaceful Sunday :)

0htooooodles · 23/06/2019 15:09

Blaaaaahhh still no update to dashboard! So frustrating 😩

Otterses · 23/06/2019 16:09

@0htooooodles

I know! I didn't check mine yesterday so I have no idea how I did Angry

@reddA

Java is the work of the devil. I've never known anyone to actually pass. The guidelines are terrible!

@mydogisthebest

Exams depend on what project you get Smile some projects require no exam, others do.
