I can't believe this has been going for nearly half a year!

As always, everyone is welcome to join us in earning an extra £10 a day Smile

There's hundreds of ways to manage this, but here is a list of some of the sites that are discussed frequently, and know caused some confusion for our new joiners last time.

Appen - a contracting website that offers a wide variety of work from social media evaluation, to voice based work. Please do not sign up to the Appen site you google, use this link, or you won't register correctly and you'll waste time waiting for projects that won't come your way.

https://connect.appen.com/qrp/public/jobs?uref=c48139fc0a25bae5d07c634d0a043f5b

(Full disclosure, that's my referral code and I get $25 if you are accepted and work for Appen for 150 hours, if anyone else would like to post their referral code feel free)

Axie Infinity - A crypto currency based game, the idea being that you breed 'creatures' battle them, then sell them on for profit to other gamers. Money can also be made through people renting land from you, or using your Axie to breed with theirs.

Leapforce - was Leapforce, now Appen.

Cloudworkers - Saucy chat site that pays per message.

Crisp - online website moderation, more information can be found here - https://survey.crispthinking.com/risk-analyst. There may also be references to the dashboard, Klipfolio and atlassian and slack, which are all tools used by crisp.

LionBridge - similar to Appen.

I've been doing matched betting for the last couple of days and trying to figure out the reload offers etc, just been making up a spreadsheet with the earnings on.
Aside from that it's been the odd survey on prolific and not much else Sad could really do with cloud or crisp pulling their fingers out and giving me some work!
I've applied for practically every Appen one I can. I signed up for clickworkers yesterday but not really given it much attention yet. Mini Lola has been demanding most of my attention today so things are a little slow unfortunately.

Otterses · 21/06/2019 14:40

@TheLolaMontez I totally sympathise, it's really frustrating at times with a little one needing your undivided attention - and there's only so much you can do when they nap!

I've done an awful money making thing today Blush I've bought several of a toy that's been out of stock since Christmas. I've seen them go for £50, and they're only worth £10. I plan to list them on eBay late October when they'll likely go out of stock again and see if I can turn a profit on them.

OP posts:
SorryDidISayThatOutLoud · 21/06/2019 15:04

Otterses, that's a good idea about the toys! We've just moved house and I seem to have kept every toy for the last 15 years so I am going to be using Ebay and Shpock a lot this weekend.

I'm another still waiting on Crisp. I did about 5 minutes on the Fletcher on Appen and gave up. Was meaning to have another go after they added the transcription, but I couldn't be arsed.

TheLolaMontez · 21/06/2019 15:59

I don't think that's awful @Otterses I think it's a good idea Smile

I'm really lacking motivation this afternoon Confused think it might be because it's not actually raining for once!

reddA · 21/06/2019 16:21

I did that with the bloody Zhuzhu hamsters one year - made a fortune buying them from all around Europe and selling them on, not morally good but it did pay for Christmas Blush My kids are older now so I wouldn't know what the latest crazes are but go for it - it still takes time and effort to source these items and you have to make the initial outlay and hope they sell so I don't think it's a bad thing :)

bkaz · 21/06/2019 18:02

Is anyone considering the Amur Appen project? The outlay seems steep!

reddA · 21/06/2019 18:27

@bkaz I signed up for it, but I can imagine a lot of people did so I'm not hopeful.
I do smaller reviews with upfront outlay sometimes for a couple of other companies but they are not very frequent unfortunately so I haven't earnt enough to withdraw payment but have been able to keep the items :)

classedasarsehole · 21/06/2019 18:42

@reddA

Where do you find java guidelines?

reddA · 21/06/2019 18:58

@classedasarsehole annoyingly it's when you click on the task, there's a link in the blurb at the top above the first question - took me a while to see it also, it's 11 pages long, I haven't braved the test yet!

classedasarsehole · 21/06/2019 19:03

Thank you so much @reddA
I just couldn't find it! Test sounds pretty hard! Confused

Otterses · 21/06/2019 19:07

@TheLolaMontez ahhh. I don't know. I think I just feel guilty taking advantage of parents who just want to make their kids happy.

@bkaz I'd consider if I knew what the 10 items were Grin could be something I don't want, like ten varieties of chopping boards.

OP posts:
reddA · 21/06/2019 19:18

@classedasarsehole I think it's going to be based on luck like a lot of these stupid tests - you can read the guidelines 100 times but it's based on someone elses perception, which, if ever so slightly different than yours makes you fail. That's why I like Crisp, there's a small margin for different interpretations.

classedasarsehole · 21/06/2019 19:23

I can't pass the crisp test HmmGrin

Otterses · 21/06/2019 19:27

@classedasarsehole what are you scoring? Smile

OP posts:
reddA · 21/06/2019 19:29

Keep trying - it's a bugger but it's definitely worth it if you can get in - at least you can keep trying unlike some where you study for a week and then get nowhere!

justtheonethen · 21/06/2019 19:30

@classedasarsehole keep trying - most on here took more than one go.

I'm the same about that appen task- if I knew it was stuff I wanted or that would sell I might be up for it Grin

classedasarsehole · 21/06/2019 19:31

OMG embarrassing 16/20 Sad

classedasarsehole · 21/06/2019 19:34

😂😂😂 it was 5th go

Otterses · 21/06/2019 19:36

@classedasarsehole don't be daft! You've nothing to be embarrassed about this bloody quiz is a thousand times harder than the actual work. You're also given no context, which makes it even trickier. Keep trying.

@justtheonethen I bet it's vibrators Grin

OP posts:
classedasarsehole · 21/06/2019 19:39

My laptop keeps going passed and won't let me see all answers!

I don't think I put enough answers?

reddA · 21/06/2019 20:07

@Otterses fingers crossed then Grin

GoodPlaceJanet · 21/06/2019 20:15

@Bemystarlord this has happened to me 3 times now. I click qualify fill in all the details then is just disappears, no sign in my processes or on the project page.

justtheonethen · 21/06/2019 20:17

@Otterses maybe I'll sign up then 🤣

justtheonethen · 21/06/2019 20:18

@classedasarsehole definitely put as many as you can see. Some have more than one.

bkaz · 21/06/2019 21:03

reddA and Otterses Still thinking about the project, I would hate to have 10 toasters or some other weird stuff I would have difficulty getting rid of. I have never doe this sort of project before so I may brave it.
