I can't believe this has been going for nearly half a year!

As always, everyone is welcome to join us in earning an extra £10 a day Smile

There's hundreds of ways to manage this, but here is a list of some of the sites that are discussed frequently, and know caused some confusion for our new joiners last time.

Appen - a contracting website that offers a wide variety of work from social media evaluation, to voice based work. Please do not sign up to the Appen site you google, use this link, or you won't register correctly and you'll waste time waiting for projects that won't come your way.

https://connect.appen.com/qrp/public/jobs?uref=c48139fc0a25bae5d07c634d0a043f5b

(Full disclosure, that's my referral code and I get $25 if you are accepted and work for Appen for 150 hours, if anyone else would like to post their referral code feel free)

Axie Infinity - A crypto currency based game, the idea being that you breed 'creatures' battle them, then sell them on for profit to other gamers. Money can also be made through people renting land from you, or using your Axie to breed with theirs.

Leapforce - was Leapforce, now Appen.

Cloudworkers - Saucy chat site that pays per message.

Crisp - online website moderation, more information can be found here - https://survey.crispthinking.com/risk-analyst. There may also be references to the dashboard, Klipfolio and atlassian and slack, which are all tools used by crisp.

LionBridge - similar to Appen.

I had a whole day off yesterday :) I cooked a roast dinner, had a visit from my eldest and his girlfriend but did nothing else - it was bliss!
Back on it today though alongside cleaning the house. Have a great day everyone :)

Bemystarlord · 17/06/2019 10:04

Still ploughing through Fletcher here, has to be done by today 😬 seriously loosing my will to live. Says i have to record this next section in a noisy environment, do you think tv on in the background would be ok?

Mamaslave18 · 17/06/2019 10:18

I used the TV as my background noise last night. I still have 170 to go. Deadline was extended to the 21st!

Mamaslave18 · 17/06/2019 10:21

I’ve been on the Crisp waiting list since it was first mentioned on these threads- so several months now.

Bemystarlord · 17/06/2019 10:33

Great, this mornjng in the back ground it is. Ooh i hadnt seen the deadline had been extended! Did you get an email?

Waiting for crisp too 🤞

Mamaslave18 · 17/06/2019 12:34

Yes I got an email to say the payment had been increased and the deadline extended.

Bemystarlord · 17/06/2019 13:03

Ah i didn't get one so better try and get it done today. No pay increases either, boo :(

TheLolaMontez · 17/06/2019 16:01

Very nearly finished fletcher, 17 to goooooo. Grin

Bemystarlord · 17/06/2019 16:30

@TheLolaMontez woohoo 🎉 that deserves a celebration! So glad thats over! They seriously underestimated how long it would take! Have you got any others lined up? I applied for all the others they had that i could but not heard anything yet.

TheLolaMontez · 17/06/2019 16:33

Same @Bemystarlord I've applied for everything,l but heard nothing Sad it's taken way too long, I don't think I'll bother doing a speech one again Confused

Otterses · 17/06/2019 16:39

@TheLolaMontez Grin well done! I'm so impressed with anyone that can persevere with Fletcher.

Done nothing so far today! Going to do dinner, take DS to the park to try to tire him out, then hopefully bedtime will go to plan and I can do 7-12.

I'm seriously considering giving cloud workers a go. Does anyone know of any other paid "chat" work?

Also, does anyone know what I do about the fletcher invoice? Do I submit one myself? Jeez that was a soul destroyer!

Otterses · 17/06/2019 16:47

@TheLolaMontez PM @Bbub who I'm sure will answer any questions you have about I Smile

I'll have a nosey for you and see what I can find. Bingo chat sites are the obvious answer, but they appear to be rare and set shifts.

@TheLolaMontez and anyone else waiting on Crisp, have you all applied to Mod Squad?

@TheLolaMontez same, think i will def give the speech ones a swerve. Just hope that its a foot in the door and they will send some better stuff.

I’m going ahead with cloudworkers, im not sure how i feel and the hours are dodgy but it would be some income whilst waiting on Appen and Crisp and i think if i really hate it i can always stop.

@Otterses lovely day for the park, make the most before the rain is back :)

TheLolaMontez · 17/06/2019 16:59

Not heard of mod squad, will have a look Smile thanks again @Otterses Grin

Blessthekids · 17/06/2019 18:12

@TheLolaMontez well done! I am only on 200, you've motivated me to crack on but goodness knows whether I am saying the right thing, some of the directions are very vague Confused

Has anyone tried transcription jobs before? I'd like to give it a go but I imagine initially it will be quite tough work.

I'm also waiting to hear back on everything I applied for. Fingers crossed.

TheLolaMontez · 17/06/2019 18:39

Just keep powering through @Blessthekids you'll get there in the end Grin it is horrifically shit though, I admit.

Not tried transcription, I started applying for one then half way through realised I'd hate it so didn't bother. My sister does it through Rev (I think). She's a journalist though and enjoys things like that, I on the other hand do not Confused

reddA · 17/06/2019 20:27

I was having a mooch for other work available and found THIS about teaching without a degree, haven't looked into it properly though.

I did a bit of transcribing with Crowdsurf but I wasn't very fast Blush

There is also Clickworker which has varied tasks

Congrats to anyone who has completed Fletcher - you deserve medals!! :)

Blessthekids · 17/06/2019 21:11

Yep Crowdsurf is one of the companies I am waiting for! I am also thinking of giving Transcribeme a go as it talks about a training programme and I do think I need some training Grin

justtheonethen · 17/06/2019 21:44

Got an email asking if I still want to do the £100 utest for vodaphone - having an additional line put in for them to test so fingers crossed

justtheonethen · 17/06/2019 21:45

Oh and I started with Rev but I'm too slow and hated it so didn't bother after the first half hour 🤣

Tohaveandtohold · 17/06/2019 21:48

Hi all, to those working for Appen, please what’s the inari-c qualification exams like. Is it a good project. Dh applied to join Appen and he’s been invited to write the exams

anxiouswaiting · 17/06/2019 22:32

@Tohaveandtohold I'm doing Inari-C. The exam is super easy, just answer some multiple choice questions if I remember correctly. I am doing the project now and it is very simple project. The only issue I have with it is that you can only do 1 hour a day and the task often does not take a full hour and you are only allowed to invoice for actual time worked - it is super easy money though, just follow the guidance

Tohaveandtohold · 18/06/2019 01:17

Thank you. He’ll do the exams after work tomorrow. Every little helps with regards to the pay.
