I can't believe this has been going for nearly half a year!

As always, everyone is welcome to join us in earning an extra £10 a day Smile

There's hundreds of ways to manage this, but here is a list of some of the sites that are discussed frequently, and know caused some confusion for our new joiners last time.

Appen - a contracting website that offers a wide variety of work from social media evaluation, to voice based work. Please do not sign up to the Appen site you google, use this link, or you won't register correctly and you'll waste time waiting for projects that won't come your way.

https://connect.appen.com/qrp/public/jobs?uref=c48139fc0a25bae5d07c634d0a043f5b

(Full disclosure, that's my referral code and I get $25 if you are accepted and work for Appen for 150 hours, if anyone else would like to post their referral code feel free)

Axie Infinity - A crypto currency based game, the idea being that you breed 'creatures' battle them, then sell them on for profit to other gamers. Money can also be made through people renting land from you, or using your Axie to breed with theirs.

Leapforce - was Leapforce, now Appen.

Cloudworkers - Saucy chat site that pays per message.

Crisp - online website moderation, more information can be found here - https://survey.crispthinking.com/risk-analyst. There may also be references to the dashboard, Klipfolio and atlassian and slack, which are all tools used by crisp.

LionBridge - similar to Appen.

Does it take long to hear back regarding Imari-C? I applied for Project Cable about a month ago and didn't hear anything, can you apply for more than one project at a time? thanks

anxiouswaiting · 18/06/2019 08:04

@BlackCatFan I waited a few weeks to get accepted and then another 3 weeks after I passed the exam to get the tool needed to start work. You can apply for as many projects as you want though and you can work on more than one at a time

Misskitty86 · 18/06/2019 08:11

Crisp ladies - have you all been paid? Really hoped I'd have my money by now and can't even chase it up until Sunday once the 22nd has passed - not even sure if I've done my invoice correctly! Appen has been pretty consistent with payments so was hoping crisp would be similar Hmm x

Otterses · 18/06/2019 08:26

@Misskitty86 did you do it via PayPal or bank transfer?

OP posts:
Misskitty86 · 18/06/2019 09:25

@Otterses bank transfer as I saw someone here saying there's a 3% charge with PayPal? X

Otterses · 18/06/2019 09:39

@Misskitty86 from what I've heard, bank transfer is incredibly slow with them.

Not that PayPal is much better for me this month! It's dull being held hostage Confused I think I need to get in touch with them really.

OP posts:
Misskitty86 · 18/06/2019 09:45

@Otterses I saw a few people mentioned having problems with PayPal holding funds.. what a faff! Thanks for letting me know about the slow bank transfer times - I'll try PayPal next month I think!

TheLolaMontez · 18/06/2019 10:22

Morning all.
I emailed the cloud workers yesterday to go ahead with my application, just waiting to hear back again now. Had an email to say I've had an Appen invoice generated too! How exciting Grin don't know what to do with myself today. I've kind of run out of stuff aside from surveys and maybe a bit of matched betting as my tax refund has arrived.
Paid a few things off yesterday with it which felt good! I could just do with another tax rebate now for spending money Smile

TheLolaMontez · 18/06/2019 10:25

Oh also, I've decided to change my phone contract, I'm paying off my EE one with the rebate money and swapping to a sim only with Giffgaff, should save me around £53 per month Shock I don't know why I ever paid that much in the first place Confused madness

BlockRockinBeats · 18/06/2019 11:26

Hello everyone! Just catching up with the thread. Wow! Everyone is busy busy!

I have a few questions if you don't mind...

@Otterses Do you have a link to the Quidco spend £12.50 to get £12.50 CB offer? I haven't received an email. I didn't get one last time they had a similar one running for £5 but the link you shared worked! Hoping it will do so again.

Regarding that Hastings Partners link you posted about women getting paid £50 per item of post received...it looks well dodge. I have done a bit of digging and they are registered on Companies House as real estate company, yet their website description says Market Research. Nothing like real estate! Also, the address at companies house does not match with the contact one on their website. I have attached some screenshots. I would avoid this one, especially since they are asking for all sorts of id. Call me Miss Marple!

I have looked into isoftstone and they are looking for website search evaluators in the UK. Here is the link to apply online. Please can anyone shout out if they already work for isoftstone? Just looking for some feedback on what it is like to work for them and what the pay is like etc.

issworld.isoftstone.com/JobDescription/tabid/104/jobid/9636/title/Online%20Web%20Evaluator%20-%20United%20Kingdom/Default.aspx?language=en-US

Thanks for any tips or advice x

Just another thing...

@FloofenHoofen @anxiouswaiting I too have been invited to take part in the new Fletcher STXM task on Appen. This is transcribing speech rather than recording it and the pay is per hour. I have attached a screenshot to check is the same one you have been invited to. Is it?

I noted @FloofenHoofen said the task was full and that was the reason why the test was not appearing. However, it is showing in my Appen. There are ten questions. Should I bother if it is likely to be full? Have you started it yet?

Thanks x

FloofenHoofen · 18/06/2019 11:31

BlockRockinBeats definitely do the test if it's showing for you! It might be that a space has come open.
I already did the exam, real simple stuff, just look at the guidelines within the exam.

BlockRockinBeats · 18/06/2019 11:37

@FloofenHoofen Cheers for that! Have you actually started the work? If so, what is it like regarding hours required and the actual tasks. i steered well clear of the Fletcher speech task after reading the horror stories on here!

FloofenHoofen · 18/06/2019 11:51

Same BlockRockinBeats I avoided it like the plague! Read all the stories of it taking silly amounts of time, so was a bit dubious when this one came up, but saw it was by the hour.
Although not as good pay as my other projects. I haven't started it yet, it's still in progress says you'll be added to it within 48 hours I think.

Otterses · 18/06/2019 12:01

Well, today looks like a total write off. My new employer has asked me to chase my references, only one of them for the last 7 years has bothered to reply Angry so that'll take up DS's nap time if he ever actually goes to sleep.

I'm red-bulling it through tonight. I need £50 tonight from Crisp, ideally.

Feel at a bit of a standstill today, finished Fletcher yesterday and all of the other projects i applied for are still pending. Still no news from Crisp. Have had contracts through from CloudWorker so need to fill those in. No surveys on prolific so far either so nothing much else other than swagbag surveys to do. Patience never was my strong point 🤣.

Otterses · 18/06/2019 12:46

@Bemystarlord ModSquad? Grin

Signed up to that last night on your recommendation, thank you 😁.

Going to stick some bits on ebay so feel slightly productive!

anxiouswaiting · 18/06/2019 13:01

@BlockRockinBeats its still showing as in progress for me but I got an email yesterday telling me they are full

0htooooodles · 18/06/2019 13:30

@PineapplePatty Thanks! I invoiced Wednesday evening, and was my first time doing it, but still haven't been paid 😞

TheLolaMontez · 18/06/2019 14:16

I am at a similar standstill @Bemystarlord everything is really quiet at the min... I got another e-mail from the cloud folk, I'd quite happily be sending rude messages for cash right now.

Otterses · 18/06/2019 14:45

@margaritasbythesea have you heard anything more about Saluda?

OP posts:
margaritasbythesea · 18/06/2019 15:22

Sorry Otterses. I've been too busy to even apply. I might try and do it now as I'm on a break. Moving house tomorrow!

margaritasbythesea · 18/06/2019 15:23

Well that didn't take long!
